Logitech 920-000947 G13 Gameboard, G13 Gameboard by

I have had this gamepad for over three (possibly four) years. It has become an absolute necessity for all my gaming be it fps, mmorpg or any other genre you care to mention. Although you could use it on its own, i find it best used in conjunction with a mouse for gaming. I am currently playing elite: dangerous using a thristmaster t. Flight hotas x and the g13 provides all the additional buttons i need without having to purchase a more expensive hotas. The g13 is certainly robust and still performs as good as the day i first plugged it in. It’s fully programmable allowing for different stored setups both within each game and for different games. The small thumbstick takes a bit of getting used to but once your muscle memory is developed it becomes an excellent additional function. A great gamepad which i would recommend to any serious gamer.
Always wanted one of these, works much better than i thought it would. It even matches my g500 mouse.
I have owned an ideazon fang (google it) for about 8 years and thought it was brilliant. Easy to use and plenty of keys. I bought a razer nostoromo to ‘upgrade’ it and have barely used it. That made me dubious about the g13, what with it being similar. Literally the only downside the the g13 is the thumb stick ‘press’ button like on ps3/xbox is a little stiff and awkward, so don’t bind anything important to it. This is a must have product for any serious mmo player.
This product used to have issues with the remapping of keys, with the key assignment programmed into it not working when loading particular games, such as swtor. With the latest version of logitech’s gaming software the product works just as you think it should, makes you wish you have better hand eye coordination. Shame that the firmware of the device cannot be updated.
I bought this piece after my nostromo died, and i find it much better. The stick has quality enough to be used for movement with your thumb, providing freedom for your fingers to use the skill and macro keys. Still not perfect, but it is the best you can find out there for mmos.
This gameboard really is as good as people say. I considered a belkin n52te, but am glad i opted for this instead. It is superb quality, yes, it is expensive, but it is worth the money. I am using it for wow, and it makes playing the game much easier and more enjoyable. It’s easy to use the profiler for macros etc, and i’ve had no problems with it (running on windows 7). I’m only using one profile at the moment, but anyone playing multiple games on pc would definitely benefit from getting one of these.
Just perfect for someone with rheumatic hands. Comfortable and easy to handle. Am happy to recommend it to anyone who has problems with his hands and fingers.

I could not live without this now, i love it and so far still working no issues besides the software bugging out and having to close and restart it. It works as expected, you can add all the keys you want, customize the color, macro your heart out even doing combo links with timed events. I now own every logitech device, i had razer before but their products seem to be of very poor quality not to mention appalling customer support. More and more games are pushing information onto the display screen too.
Got this as a replacement for the n52tet belkin as a few extra keybinds are required to move away from being a ‘clicker’, so far seems great, but as yet am still trying to get used to it. One thing i will say is that in comparison with the 52te, the actual response time seems so much quickerreally pleased with it and would recommend it to any and all :)update: after months of use i honestly couldn’t see my way back to playing on a normal keyboard, this is a dream and now that i am fully used to it i can honestly keep my eyes on the screen and everything happens as naturally as people suggest. If you are after something in this field, i still do highly recommend.
Im new to pc gaming and this little gamepad works wonders for it. Its very sturdy on a table, comfortable for your hand to rest on, buttons are good quality. The build quality of the unit itself is very high. Can change it to many different colour keys. Don’t install the included drivers, go to logitech site and get the latest g13 driver and software which is very good indeed. Even if you do install the disc as i did, i think you can upgrade to the newer software within it. You can download and save profiles for different games from online sources, but this wont work until you upgrade to new software. Great unit at a great price you cant go wrong. I would class it as being between the nostromo and orbweaver in terms of quality.
Hi, iv been using this constantly since purchase, i play wow, css, eve online etc and you can customise this to how you want, i use a zboard merk with it but thats just become a standard keyboard now as this does everything i need in a game exept the qwerty keyboard:).
I’ve been using this for just over a month now and i have absolutely nothing negative to sayi’m currently playing 2 games with it: guild wars 2 and dayz. (although i’ve played lots of other games with it, these are the two i keep coming back to at the minute)guild wars 2:this is the device if you want an advantage over everyone else. I use the thumb stick to move (bind strafe left and right to thumb stick rather than the turn keys). On the top row, i have skills 3, 4, 5 and the heal button (skills 1 and 2 are bound to my g500 mouse). I have all the other important buttons on the board to but these were the most important ones for me and it so easy to play the game with this set up and run rings round other players. Its also worth pointing out that this game is compatible with the g13, the screen displays all your stats and figuresdayz:i haven’t perfected my set up for this game yet, i’m switching between 2 setups, but both work wellas for the board its self, it looks incredible. I love the fact you can have any colour you like for your back lights. The ergonomics are superb and it generally feels solid. Making macros is real easy and you can switch profiles in game.(i might change from warrior to necromancer and have a different key setup for example).
The logitech g 13 is a gaming keypad with micro joystick but it also works great with scripts for lightroom and probably aperture as well. Why would you use it for photo editing?. Its a lot quicker to flick through and manipulate images on the keypad than by dragging a mouse over a screen (particularly larger screens). Check out scripts online from jonathan ceci (not sure of spelling on his name but google g13 for lightroom and it comes right up). Scripting and programming software included and easy to use.
I bought this because my apple aluminium keyboard is not so easy to use for games. The pros:it is a well built product, buttons are comfortable, each to reach, hand and wrist rest quite nicely. Very easy to program, create profiles and such, has in built application control for the lcd i. When playing bad company you can see your kd ratio and other info, and surprisingly, the joystick although tiny, is easy to use. I use it for fps and rpg and rts, and although for rpg and rts it is ideal, getting used to it for fps is a different story. The cons:if you have very large hands like i do, you might find your hands reaching the end of the device and it may be hard for you to press the first buttons without clawing you hand. For fps games it is really hard to switch weapons as you normally do with the numbered buttons above wasd, and although you could setup a different layout where the front row of buttons becomes the numbers, the wasd layout already exists on the gamepad. I have been using it for just over a week now and i’and am starting to get used to it, and it does feel nice and comfortable, but setting it up properly for fps games looks like its going to be hard. It would have been better if there was an extra row above the wasd buttons, or if the buttons located near the wrist were moved further up.

I’ve had the belkin n52te before the g13. While the g13 has more keys and extras like the display far better and easier macro creation process, i still prefer the ergonomics of the n52te because of the higher rest for the palm which makes using it comfortable for longer usage.
I got this for my teenage son for pc gaming and when i asked him how it was –awesome was the reply– he’s big into gaming so thats worth a 10/10.
This is the best left hand control i have found the only thing that could be better is the thumb joystick could be a trackball a personal taste other wise i love it. The stick can be mouse or joystick and there are 3 banks of 22 buttons the back light changes to indecate the bank you are on and the top center key has a deeper curve to the top making for easy location of the possition on the pad. The led read out gives a rss feed as well as time counter, clock, cpu load, media player, and is very neat idea. As a computer engineer for 40 years i have seen a lot of controlers, the g13 is built to a very high standard, and with logitech you get a company that cares about its users, and has one of the best tech supports in the world.
Pros lots of great features: surprisingly customize-able key and lcd back-lighting, the ‘gamepanel’ lcd, on-board memory, and supports and easily switches between 3 profiles. It also boasts the most keys (25; 23 keyboard keys and 2 thumb keys by your joystick)cons the design is large and slightly awkward to look at. In it’s defense it ‘feels’/’plays’ better than it looks. In comparison to the other gamepads out there, you do get the sense that ergonomics were sacrificed in order to fit in those 23 keys. Summary this gamepad was definitely designed with the ‘hard-core’ gamer in mind. You’re going to get the best ‘left-hand gaming product’ around. The product is slightly inferior (in this reviewer’s opinion) to other similar game pads in the one aspect that the formation of the keys feels noticeably unfamiliar. Looking at this pad versus its main competitor – the belkin n52 – you’re definitely gaining alot of keys. What you’re sacrificing for those keys is familiarity. The n52 will feels very familiar to anyone used to typing on a keyboard.
Well made, good software, very comfortable. So far i cant see anything wrong with it and profiles for multiple games i’ve set up are great. The software actually detects the active (front) exe running, therefore it works great with multiple monitors allowing you to have multiple windows open, and it switches to the appropriate profile as you make the window active. Great when your using 2 or more applications at once) such as multiple eve clients.
I have only used it for a couple of mmo’s up to now but it has changed the way i play for the better. I can use the analogue stick (which is nice and smooth, very comfortable) for all-direction movement. I would say it has the perfect amount of keys and the layout is great. Changeable led backlight on keys and display looks cool. I don’t look at the display very much but it’s great to have it if you want to see all your current game stats. It also shows the latest news flashes, time and date depending on the settings. Feels solidly built and more high end/classy/professional than the razer nostromo.
Purchased this to partner my g19 keyboard, absolutely amazing with more than enough features to keep me happy, great ease of use, and lcd display running real time monitors depending what applet your using has indeed changed my gaming world, a must have for any modern gamer.

Of the three gamepads i have purchased this is my favourite. My wrist sits nicely on the rest. The thumb stick is easy to use and very responsive and there are three profile keys for instance switching, something i used a lot in wow when going for a pvp resto druid to a pve moonkin. The software is good once it starts working but i was pulling my hair out at some stages when it just would not accept my profiles and work. I still don’t know why it didn’t work or start working, but once it sorted itself out it was fine. There is a bit of an adjustment, but for game with a lot of macros or action bars it’s pretty damn useful. My technologically illiterate girlfriend uses it for her hunter and loves it to bits.
I never play games without it anymore. I used to use a different game pad with only 9 keys and i thought that was good being able to program the keys i most used right to my finger tips, but well what can i say this is in a league of it own.
The g13 is a hardcore piece of kit, versatile, and not just for gamers, for photoshop too. You can pre-build your app profiles, or create them on the fly. You can asign keystrokes, makros or an lua script to each profile. The software update from logitec is a must as it adds a profile selector to the lcd screen and the ability to asign the joystick as a joystick. Keystrokes are macros, and you can name macros, so i find i don’t asign keystrokes. As advised by previous users, don’t rush into the heat of battle until familiar with the layouts you have chosen. The four middle buttons have indentations so making these the forward, back, left and right keys is the most intuative. As a left-hander the keyboard layout being almost symetrical is not an issue, but the joystick it amost useless for action games as either i have to reposition my hand or use my pinky finger, however assiging the up to reload or as a menu selector it can be found a use for, even for the correct-handed. The multi-colour screen claim may be a bit misleading as the screen is monochrome, however, you can asign a general colour to each mode (there are three) if you assign red to mode 1, mode 1 will be red for all profiles.
I got this and after a day of use i was upset. It just seemed to not be what i expected it to be. I read some reviews which said that i needed to give it time. I play world of warcraft and after finding my perfect set-up i now love it. I would say it takes around 7 days of use to get your finger remembering where things are. Even after you ‘think’ you have it good, it gets better. —–for any ‘wow’ or ‘mmorpg’ players i would give this advice for the set-up. This may also work for other games but i only play mmorpg’s at the moment. Well don’t when you set this up. Use ‘3-4-5-6 as your main keys (just replace them in this order). It makes it much more simple and with the design it works 100% faster. For wow players get the add-on ‘dominoes’. This add-on will allow you to move your buttons around. It is much better than other add-ons i tried. I set it up so my buttons mimic the look of the g13. So you have7 on top7 for the 2nd row5 for the 3rd row3 for the bottom1 to the right of the keys1 under the this one.
Makes playing mmo games much easier.
This is a fantastic product for any pc gamer or ps4 xim4 user. The keys are numerous, but arranged nicely so you can naturally find and press the key you want. The key mapping profiles that are built for a lot of games help you to customize the control scheme in the logitech gaming software without having to go nuts overriding the default bindings in-game. The display is not that useful, but it is fun for things like rss news feeds and such when you play slower games.
Had this more than 3 years now and still no problems.

This is a well made piece of kit for gaming. Easy to programme, easy to load software, easy to set up from the start. I have had no problems with it and it’s great to use for gaming. Highly recommend and it would make a good christmas/birthday present for any gamer in the house.
It’s a curse i have to live with. People that design keyboards are right handed. I bought this thinking at last i have a keyboard for gaming designed to allow lefties to use it. I gave it three stars because it looked as though it would work a treat for the rest of the population.
I dont know how could i play wow without this gadget before. Its amazing and comfortable. The joystick simply rolls
macro mode, all buttons near —>top gaming gameboard.
I was purchased this a good two to three years ago when a relative splashed out on me for my 21st. At first i was unsure about it, there’s a lot of buttons plus it does demand you to basically change your finger’s instincts and it took me a good few weeks to even get used to it, double that to get familiar with it. It wasn’t long into using it that i came to appreciate exactly how useful those extra buttons are. Things that i struggled to cope with, that required a large variety of abilities to be used, became not only easier but actually simple to an extent. This improved my more serious game by a notable margin. I want to make it clear that i am an ok gamer, when i got used to the g13 i became a good gamer. As such i think that anyone can master this. I have recommended it to the point of pestering/nagging my friends and after they succumbed they wouldn’t go back to a keyboard for most games now. I am a pretty constant gamer, i probably average about 10+ hours a week on games that i use my g13 with and given how long i have had mine i make that out to be well over a thousand hours.
This gamepad is awesome using it for a couple of month now and then preis what i paid for the gamepad is very good considering the quality what you get there are big rubber feed on the bottom of the device its does not slide a little bid during gaming sessions the ergonomics are very good after 12 h of gaming i could not feel any issues with my hand or wrist there were not numb or even tired would highly recommend that device 5 out of 5 * from me :).
This game pad is quite simply awesome. In every game i have played, it has given me the edge. My only complaint and it is a big complaint, the thumb stick is far too smooth. If you are playing a game that needs accurate control, rage springs to mind whilst driving, the sweat off your thumb makes the thumb stick slippery and uncontrolable. If it was not for the thumb stick, i would have given 5 stars. Pity really, an excellent piece of kit, let down by a silly thumb stick.
Nice and sturdy feel well made.

I purchased this device a short while ago in the hopes that it would sharpen my game up a little – i play world of warcraft with a guild that is constantly chasing down hard-mode pve achievements and i also like to engage in a spot of pvp once in a while, so the ability to move quickly, shoot while moving, and generally react instantly to the changing environment is crucial. This is a fantastic device for my purposes, and i would rate it as the #2 item that every wow player simply must have. (#1 being a blizzard authenticator, for obvious reasons. )the thumb joystick works well, and lets me easily move while shooting while using the mouse to control where i’m looking – its angle to my hand while on the device still feels a bit off after a few weeks of playing, and that is pretty much the only improvement i would suggest for the device, except that it would be nice if the software for the g13 and g19 keyboard could also be used to control my g9 mouse profiles. A 10-15 degree clockwise adjustment would probably make it perfectly angled for my hand. Note: it takes some time to get used to the unit and the key layouts you decide upon. Don’t try taking this into a raid or arena on the same day you purchase it – give it some time until you can find your keybound abilities without fumbling about. Also, take the time to devise a number of macros either in-game or in the device control panel. It really is worth it when you start using the logitech macro utility with any keybound abilities you have. Think shot rotations, think gcd wait times built into macros, think awesome-sauceawesome device.
It does make it easier and more comfortable to play, even if you’re just a casual player. The backlight on the keyboard helps playing in lower lighting (you can switch it off). The mini-joystick isn’t analog, so don’t expect that good control with it. The button under the joystick is a bit hard to press, but that could be of my own specific build. I see no easy way to clean it – i don’t think they keys are removable but i could be mistaken. The driver software is a bit sluggish. Also, doesn’t work on linux – you need unofficial drivers.
The logitech wins on every level. Quick background, i’m a console player for many years, and decided to make the switch to pc gaming. But i knew there was no way i could play with the wasd keys for movement, so was looking for something that would give me movement in similar method to console, but i still wanted to use a mouse for aiming and firing, (i play fps games mostly). So i originally bought the razer orbweaver in the hope that it’s d-pad would allow me to move around in game as i would on a console, ie. Using my thumb to control movement. There was no way of using the orbweaver’s d-pad as an analogue stick like on a console controller, so i had to assign the wasd keys to the relevant movements on the d-pad. I’m currently playing mohw, and it was woeful.
As the title says i bought this nearly 4 years ago and have used it for a minimum of 5 hours a day (yes i need to get a life) for all that time and it is still going strong. Not one of the keys is starting to feel tired. I have had the nostromo n52 and the saitech command pad neither have been able to take the pounding that i consistently give the g13. I have small hands and find the g13 is on the slightly large size compared the other speed pads on the market but it has more keys than any other as far as i know. Many of the functions of the lcd screen are gimmicky, but it’s handy to tell you what profile is active. Though an expensive outlay it’s longevity is amazing, it’s the oldest and most used of all my computer components. I can’t rate this highly enough.
