Cooler Master MasterKeys Pro S RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard ‘TenKeyless – Very very comfortable, and with a satisfying sound

I don’t know where to begin. It’s my first mechanical keyboard and i feel that it was worth every penny and i’m pleased with the build quality. It comes with a removable braided mini usb cable of good length. The mini usb part that plugs into the keyboard is in an l shape which looks a little weird considering that the l is facing the opposite direction of where i had to feed the cable through. At first i wasn’t that impressed with the brown switches as i was expecting a more tactile feel, however, it has grown on me and i realize it’s more of a background quality of life improvement than an overt one. The lighting modes are varied and do not require any extra software as they can all be configured with the keyboard itself and i’m surprised at how well the leds work when set to white. The keycaps have a lovely matt finish and feel. I don’t have much experience with mechanical keyboards so all i can say here is that i’d definitely buy this again.

I use it every day for programming, it feels great and it looks great.

Perfect for my desk as i now have more space for my mouse and always wanted a mx brown (quiet) mechanical keyboard. This is compact full uk layout and is missing the numeric keypad (deliberate choice). Keys look normal / full sizelove the clicky feedback on cherry keys and it has no fancy additional keys (some soft key combinations and an extra ‘fn’ key). The white back light is a bit too funky for me (many modes) and not intuitive without looking at the manual but i have left it on a low light setting and forgot about it. Recommended if you want a ten key less keyboard for typing (gamers may want to look at something more funky with colours etc). Note : keyboard is far louder than normal keyboard (can’t use it at night in a quiet house without waking someone). Use a logitech k120 keyboard like me if you want a super quiet second keyboard but the typing feel is far more superior on this mechanical keyboard compared to that cheaper keyboard.

Stunning rgb lights, very sturdy and simple yet does not look cheap. Love the fabric cable too, looks so much better than plastic ones in my opinion. I think this keyboard is the best out there in comparison to corsair, razer ect. I got the pro s for my wife for christmas and will soon be getting the large one for myself ;).

The best keyboard i ever had.

If you’re heavily into first person shooters and need the fast responsiveness of such a board this might be a great purchase but for a typical user more comfortable using a controller i’d strongly recommend a regular, quieter keyboard for basic tasks when not gaming. The noise this generates when typing means it simply isn’t designed for everyday users who wish to carry out a wide variety of tasks in relative peace and quiet.

  • anyone who’s tried my keyboard mentioned how good they are

  • It’s my first mechanical keyboard and I feel that it was worth every penny and I’m pleased with the build quality

  • Excellent full size keys / compact no numpad layout / UK / backlit / Cherry MX Brown keyboard!

Its the best keyboard by far i have used amazing heavy strong robust fantastic to type on.

Brought for my 12yr old son , he loves it , well packaged easy to set up the lighting is fantastic. Fits perfectly besides his mouse mat as some are too wide , my son choose the buttons himself as i’m no gamer and he is over the moon. Even a friend that designs web sites and plays high end games could not fault it for the price.

Got this elsewhere but not many reviews here so i’ll comment here. It’s very sturdy, and easy to set up with the software provided.

I purchased the pro l and ended up getting a pro s; i’m not a picky guy so i decide to keep the thing since hey; my last keyboard was a cm quickfire tk which had a hybrid keypad/arrow key so i decide ‘screw it, let’s try 10 key less’it’s been 2 months since i’ve gotten the thing and i honestly feel like my typing experience is no difference than the quickfire tk (which was a pleasure to type on for me with the brown switches); the rgb lighting is very nice and i really do like the modes and the functionality it’s got. I do wish the colour wave was a bit quicker and nicer and more vibrant but that’s a very small gripe to be having with something that i mainly use in 2 colour modes. The firmware i cannot recommend installing because once you install the new firmware; you cannot roll back. My keyboard’s rgb leds were working perfectly until i installed the new firmware and now a few keys cannot output green without outputting red at the same time; but sometimes fixes itself without an issue. The buttons i’m having issues with is ins, home, del, end, up arrow, down arrow, left arrow and the fn key. Quite aggravating since i was mainly getting it to use it in green leds, very small annoyance though. For example; if i selected green on any of those keys; it would be orange and if i have all the colours selected to try make white; those colours would now be pink instead. The actual software feels very clunky to be used but i feel in this day and age that’s to be expected with peripheral software; a nuisance but it’s not too bad with this keyboard since the on-board led customiser is very easy to use once you understand it and it’s much nicer than having to run to some firmware everytime you want to change a colour of a certain key or the keyboard in general.

Very very comfortable, and with a satisfying sound. Would’ve hopped they do away with all the ‘gaming’ led gimmick, as it’s useless and only makes these keyboards more expensive.

I bought this product after having a white backlight membrane keyboard for many years (which actually cost more than this). Due to me currently undertaking a home project, this keyboard fit in perfectly with the final goal. The keyboard came brilliantly packaged with its own sleeve which gave it that bit more protection. The quality of the keys is fantastic; they feel incredibly sturdy but at the same time have a nice soft touch to them, meaning you can press these keys and feel comfortable. If you do not know a lot about mechanical switches, i strongly recommend reading into what each one does, it will allow you to decide if these are for you. Personally, due to me playing games a large amount, brown key switches are fantastic because they give a brilliant tactile click and response when your playing and typing. However, if you are after a quiet keyboard, do not go for these key switches because they are not designed for quietness. For lighting, i am normally a massive razer fanboy and love the the synpase program to synchronise lighting schemes, but i must say i am very impressed with cooler master implementation and software. The lighting is vibrant, easy to set up and the amount of lighting schemes is something to be impressed with. One of the nice things, is that you can store a large amount of keyboard lighting effects on the device itself.

Nice solid keyboard design cherry mx browns have a nice feel to it, come with a key cap remover, only fault is the usb connection is usb micro (not strong enough imo).

Communication was polite and delivery was fast. The keyboard itself is very good quality. I was looking for a very compact keyboard without tenkeys and this one is just that. Configurable from the keyboard itself so doesn’t need separate software, which is nice.

Love them, wouldnt change them.

I must say, i was quite satisfied with the product, it feels solid, the functions are great. Typing was a satisfying experience, much better than any of the previous keyboards i owned. During my typing i use my right had to hit the space bar and i usually hit it in the right side of the key. Sadly this has the effect on the space bar, and it started to slope to the right and after a while not returning to the original position. I had no issue like that in any other cheap keyboard so far. With a better solution of space-bar mechanism i would have this keyboard again. But as it only lasted 4 months, i give 3 stars.

I am using this keyboard at work as a programmer. I don’t use the lights because i don’t want to catch the eyes, but still, anyone who’s tried my keyboard mentioned how good they are. And indeed, i have an increased typing speed and precision, plus this one allows me to put the mouse really close to the keyboard, which allows for smaller movements, less stress for the shoulder.

I’ve used this keyboard for some time now and find the tactile feedback from the cherry mx browns a really good choice. I used several other keyboards including the havvit low profile ones and find the cherry mx keys to be best for me, i have even bought some custom keycaps (blank translucent ones) which are awesome to use (see picture). I have now bought a second keyboard to use for home.

Let me say that the masterkeys pro is the best cherry mx rgb (tkl or not) keyboard you can get, not corsair’s k65/k70/k90. (you can read my previous review of k70 here: https://www. Uk/review/rf0k9zy4g2mhk/ref=cm_cr_rdp_perm )i also own a cm storm quickfire pro. I have always been a fan of cm keyboards because of their good build quality, but masterkeys pro even outdid quickfire series in this aspect. Keycaps are of thicker, higher quality abs, and they replaced the squarish looking, ugly fonts of the keycaps with a stylish, modern looking one. Keyboard case is still made of heavy, thick plastic, which is a good thing. I think plastic case is better than a metal one, and i will explain why below. There are several reasons why this is better than corsair’s offerings.

High quality mechanical keyboard. Nice feel to the keys, good for touch-typist. Has solid looking feet underneath to raise the top of the keyboard for a good angle for typing. I wanted a smaller keyboard (the width) so i could place my mouse closer in. I don’t use the numeric keypad anyway. This is expensive but having a good quality keyboard if you are working from home is important.

Looks very minimal and clean. Only problem is no wrist rest. If your thinking about buying this keyboard and like the minimal style go for it. However, you may want to buy a third party wrist rest. Also i highly recommend testing out cherry mx switches in a shop before you buy based on what you think you would like. As i thought i may like brown switched because i don’t like keyboards that are too load but i do want the tactile feel. But when i tried it out in the shop the blue switches actually felt more satisfying when typing.

Just bought this over the weekend (not from amazon) and my assessment of this is, it’s a great little keyboard to get if you need to replace your keyboard. The backlit aspect is a definite plus and the fact it’s white and not blue or red was the clinch for me. The shop i walked into had a red backlit keyboard from a different manufacturer, and while my wife loved the look of it (because it came with a glossy red mouse), i just wanted the clarity of white light. I cannot speak highly enough about this keyboard, it’s dinky being tkl (tenkeyless – which removes the numeric keypad from the right-hand side), and the clickety-clack of the cherry mx brown keys is very satisfying. The keyboard while being dinky is surprisingly heavy in weight, so it gives the impression of being small. I was kind of disappointed in doesn’t come with the masteraccessory wrist rest though if i’m being honest, for the price i feel it should be included. But all in all i would highly recommend this keyboard if you need to get a new keyboard, the backlit element is just something you can’t appreciate until you have it.

I’ve owned a few keyboards over the years, and as a brand cooler master seemed like a good shout for a 10 keyless. It might see picky but the typing experience just doesn’t compare to similarly priced fully aluminium frame boards. I wont name other brands but you can get better for less money. To be fair it seems pretty well constructed, but i haven’t used it enough to really evaluate it.

Brown Cherry MX RGB Switch

This is my 2nd tenless kb and i think it will be my go to board for years to come. Build quality is absolutely fantastic. Really solid feeling board while typing. The brown switches are my favourite but this is personal preference. Keycaps are good quality with an easily readable font. The rbg lighting looks great and the software to control and customise it is very good. The colours and modes can also be controlled without the software with the built in function button controls.

A neat, compact, and robust keyboard. I was concerned that the backlighting would be set to some distracting wave pattern but fortunately it begins with a static and very bright light, and that’s how it will stay for me. I am relieved to have more space on my desk now, and i think this keyboard will last me longer than previous cheap ones. I have only one disappointment; two of the keys are not backlit – the caps lock and screen lock. There seems no reason for these to be missing backlighting so i must presume a fault. It’s more trouble than it’s worth for me to return the keyboard, however, so i’ll settle for posting this comment and giving it 4 stars instead of 5. Actually, even if the keys were all perfect i might have given 4 stars for the two months’ wait.

One of the best keyboards i’ve ever bought. I used to have a razer black widow ultimate and this keyboard completely blows it out the water.
