Corsair Raptor CH-9000043-UK K30 Backlit Gaming Keyboard : the picture for the product is not the same as the keyboard i recieved

Very good considering the price, however there are alternatives within this price range with a tad more functionality. The build quality is, overall, pretty good, but it’s light and plasticy and is desperately in need of some nicer finishing materials.

It does the job for games and multimedia but has issues if you use it for typing. A reproducible example for me is – i need to type the combination “op” a lot for work, however, if i hold shift and type o and p quickly, it always ends up registering as “op” instead of “op”. I have had occasional other hiccups in input recognition that were not due to typos. Mine is about three years and still works well, but the typing issues really irk me.

Been using a cheap microsoft keyboard and my gaming was lacking. This has made a massive difference. I can hit the keys i want without my fat fingers hitting 2 maybe 3 at the same time. Good value for money considering the price you can pay for a gaming keyboard.

Very happy with this purchase. Well designed with multi function keys. Different light levels for the keys. Nice feel to finished product.

This keyboard is great – being full sized and having macro keys is perfect for gaming and general pc use. The only drawback is that you cannot change the colours, though the newer model allows this, so i would recommend that instead if a lack of colour change would really affect you (didn’t for me). Gets the job done, has a nice feel to press individual keys, as well as a sick feature where you can press various buttons at once and they’ll all be registered at once – previous keyboards i used will not process that and simply not input anything.

This keyboard is fantastic for its price range. The keys have a nice clicking sound, the backlighting is effective and the design is sleek. I have one problem and that is that while i removed the keycaps in order to clean it, the enter key no longer works properly. Other than that it is a fantastic keyboard and i would highly recommend it.

Originally bought a razer keyboard, but was not impressed with the quality at the price they charged, so went for the raptor k30. Looks sick (especially with the red backlit keys, even if they aren’t too impressive during the day). Keys feel great and are very responsive, make a rather pleasant sound in my opinion. Macro keys are great, and this is the only keyboard i’ve owned where the media controls work 100% of the time.

Perfectly happy with this keyboard. Was a bit awkward at first to enter the correct keys, as it is does not exactly match my other normal standard keyboards, which do not have the left hand side keys. But in due time i have got used to it and find it perfect. The backlighting is an asset, but only when the room is dimly lit – in a brightly lit room you do not see the key backlighting so easily unless you are directly over the keyboard.

  • A budget Gaming Keyboard perfect for Streamers.
  • Very nice keyboard
  • decent gaming/multimedia keyboard but with typing issues

Corsair Raptor CH-9000043-UK K30 Red Backlit Gaming Keyboard, Black

  • Make sure this fits
    by entering your model number.
  • Adjustable LED backlighting – backlighting offers adjustable brightness, looks suitable with other gaming gear and makes it easy to find the exactly keys you’re looking even in dimly lit rooms
  • Six programmable G-keys – six dedicated keys with three banks for easy, single keystroke access to up to 18 of your favorite presets and key combos
  • Game optimised anti-ghosting – ensures that every key you touch translates into the game
  • Onboard profile storage – stores settings and profiles in keyboard memory for direct hardware playback
  • Dedicated multimedia controls – play, stop, pause, skip tracks and adjust volume directly from the keyboard

I would avoid it if you would prefer a quieter keyboard, though. It can be rather loud and cannot be fitted with anything that would dampen the noise. Cherry mx keys are much quieter and can be fitted with rubber rings to reduce noise further. If noise isn’t a problem then it’s not a bad choice at all.

I wanted a decent entry level gaming keyboard and this came on top of reviews for its price and entry level. Still getting used to typing with a raised button keyboard as my last normal keyboard was a slim flat type hence it felt weird typing on this but apart from that, so far so good.

Slightly rocks on arrival which is offputting. The ability to turn off the backlight is great, especially for someone like me who hates brightly lit keyboards. Apart from the rockyness, seems like a solid keyboard.

A very high quality keyboard. I’m not really a gamer, though i play occasionally. I was more after a keyboard that looked stylilsh, had multimedia buttons, and the illuminated keys like my macbook. This ticks all the boxes and feels great to use. Recommended without any reservation.

It’s great keyboard for the price, coming from a logitech g15 gen 1 (blue backlight) this seems to be similar in performance key press wise, however the key presses feel a bit more snappy but then again i’ve used my g15 keyboard for about 10-11 years (it released in 2005). The backlight on it looks nice, and is a bit brighter than my g15 keyboard, however it also seems to be brighter on the number pad area than on they keyboard side (left hand). (hence the 4 star rating)i’ve been using the keyboard for a few hours now, and coming from 3 banks of 6 g keys going to just 1 bank of 6 g keys. I must say that 1 bank really is enough as you’ll really only be able to reach up to the second bank anyway, for the rest of them you’ll have to lift your hand. They are however handy outside of games for quick shortcuts within programs etc. Packaging was good as well, however delivery keeps being a problem for amazon logistics, even providing them with an access code to use on the intercom so that i can be notified and open the door for them, they seem to either walk away upon seeing the door/intercom, or manage to get through the door and leave it in the post room with the concierge on a weekday, even when i gave them clear instructions how to gain access to my front door and they promised me over the phone to call me 15-30 minutes before delivery so i wouldn’t miss it, and they still didn’t do either of them. Claiming in the end my phone was unreachable even though i haven’t seen a miss call, i’ve had full signal and when i tell them to give me a call back (through the website support) they seems to be perfectly able to call me on that number. The only reason i have my keyboard today is because amazon delivery happened to come across the concierge who happened to be in to do some work for a few minutes, he was kind enough to give the package to me straight after the delivery by amazon, otherwise i’d have to wait until monday before i can complete my work.

Very easy to clean, great as far as membrane keyboards go, way more customisable when it comes to the macros when compared to other keyboards for example my friends mad catz keyboard which costs over 100 pounds but has dire software when compared to this baby. My only beef is that you have to buy the k40 just for extra light options which is pretty dire along with the fact that a wet cloth managed to unstick the very pretty mental corsair logo sticker.

Decent keyboard for the price. Has a nice selection of multimedia keys as well as extra keys you can program yourself. The lights are alight but nothing mind blowing. I had this keyboard for about a year before i spilled beer on it which resulted in loss of half the keys functionality. All in all its a decent budget keyboard but i would personally recommend spending a bit more and getting something a bit more sturdy.

Great keyboard that delivers fantastic experience whilst writing. Colours fit most set ups and the fake aluminium doesnt matter since its only for aesthetics and it does its job really well. The whole structure is really sturdy. The brightness of the one red colour led illumination is perfect with low light environment, however not visible at all during the daylight. One thing that really dissapointed me was the support for the double size button such as the enter wasnt fitted propely so had to be refitted-not too hard to do but for a begginer wont be visible to see but does certainly affect the typing on the keyboard and makes an annoying click to it. But without those little errors keyboard does the job really well.

I ordered this model because i required to has left big shift button but it arrived with a small one, which i hate in any keyboard, otherwise keyboard is good. On corsair website the picture of the keyboard is also with a big shift.

Certainly a strong choice in its price group. On balance more than the k30. The k30 seems quite small even though its about the same size. I like the raise keys design but somehow they also feel smaller than my cyborg keys even though they are not, just a different shape. I also miss the wrist support that was standard on the cyborg in the same price bracket. So in summary, its a good keyboard. But if i was buying again i would probably just get another cyborg, or if i was spending any more i would go for a razor over the pricier corsair models.

The multi-functional k30 is a great all round budget (in comparison to other boards on the market) keyboard with 6 programmable g keys and awesome multimedia functionality keys. The g keys are perfect for streamers wanting to bring up different scenes to their audience without having to go through the hassle of doing it manually. The keys in general are very responsive and well made, unlike other budget keyboards that feel very plastic based and not so nice to the touch. My only criticism of the product is its back-lighting, although very visible, unless you are directly over the keyboard you wont experience the full benefit of having a backlit board, however a very small criticism on an otherwise incredibly well rounded gaming keyboard.

I bought this to replace a fairly standard keyboard and “needed” one with red back lights to match my pc internals. It arrived promptly and in perfect condition. As a keyboard it performs as expected. The shift key is smaller than my precious keyboard but that stops being a problem after 5 minuets. The windows lock button is a nice feature that has saved me a few times already stopping you from accidently hitting the start menu key. Overall great keyboard for the money but then it’s corsair so of course it’s great.

Liked the design and fell of this keyboard. But just after the 1st year the ‘y’ key came off whilst cleaning. Plastic part broken so unable to reattach. Contacted cosair to hopefully acquire replacement key but found them very unhelpful. Ended up getting new keyboard.

I have been using this keyboard for about 6 months now and it still works like a charm. It’s pleasant to type with and feels like a good quality build. I usually keep the led lighting on the the brightest setting as the two lower settings seem a little to dim for me, but none have died or lost any brightness since it was new. I do some gaming with the keyboard and it works well, the silver w,a,s,d keys being a nice touch in my opinion, though i haven’t used the macro keys so cannot comment on them, though the windows key lock button is a nice feature indeed. Very few cons with this keyboard, though the few i’ve noticed are as follows. As the keys are elevated above the surface of the board (which makes for nice typing) it can make keeping the keyboard dust free and clean a little trickier and the almost flush to the surface multi media keys located above the number pad can also be a little awkward to use without accidentally pressing one of the elevated keys on the number pad in my experience. I really don’t notice any other cons with it thoughall round i’d definitely recommend this keyboard, it is great quality for the price.

I simply can not justify spending £75+ on a mechanical gaming keyboard, i game but not to the extent where im bitching about a millisecond response time from a keystroke. If you are then go spend more money if you want a decent gaming keyboard that lights up (my primary reason for elite dangerous int he dark) this is the ticketsolid, and works what more can i say.

It is comfortable to use whether typing, coding or gaming. The buttons are responsive and satisfying and it still works perfectly after all this time. The brightness level is ideal for gaming in the dark.

Disappointed that it’s not really a mechanical keyboard and ended up getting a real one, but this served me well for the 2 years i had it. The lights are cool but only in red so keep that in mind.

I’ve had this for about 6 months now. The only factor i can fault it on is that it’s gets dirty easily but i think that dirt gets into every keyboard one. If youre wanting a keyboard thats almost like the mechanical one you wanted, but not quite as expensive as the razer deathadder then this is perfect. Programming isn’t incredible but good enough for standard use.

Previously had the k50 and this lives up to the same high qualityvery happy with this keyboard, would recommend to friends.

This keyboard easily beats its bigger bothers and sisters who cost 3x as much, feels like a mechanical keyboard (it isn’t) and the build quality is outstanding, recommended.

Beautiful looking keyboard good for gaming, keep in mind that the keys are quite high off the main board so dirt can get under them and is pretty hard to clean.

Good keyboard so far, only has red leds which suits my pc build. Only problem i have with it is the shift button, sometimes if i type in caps, it’ll be like this. Other than that, i don’t know what to do with my extra buttons, all can be programmed to what you want them to do, and i don’t have a clue. Gaming-wise, this product feels fine. I’m a fan of membrane keyboards and corsair so this takes the cake. If you want the same product with rgb leds, you should take a look at the k40.

This is not a mechanical keyboard but a membrane activated keyboard, however it has been working just as well as i have had it now for over 6 months and it has been delivering 100% in spite of may falls and knocks.

The main reason that i like this keyboard so much is that it feels good to type with, it’s very nicely made and feels robust and is full size, maybe slightly wider than the average which is good. As a gamer i also appreciate the extra six programmable macro keys down the side but i personally haven’t used them for anything since i got the keyboard but it’s nice to know they’re there if i ever do want to use them in the future. I actually do like the red lit keys very much, i wasn’t sure at first as it takes a while to get used to them if you haven’t had them before but now i’m used to them i like it a lot. On this keyboard you can only have red lights, you can set the intensity wherever it suits you and store your settings, and you can make changes to your settings whenever you want. I set it up the first day and haven’t changed anything since, i’m happy with it. It’s pretty quiet, no louder or noisier than any other keyboard and it looks the business. I have added corsair to my list of good products.

Got this for a friend as a gaming keyboard, he had only ever used cheap dell and microsoft keyboards. This thing has some premium feel to it, if you don’t want to change the back light from red then don’t bother looking at the k40, as that is the only difference. In my experience, this is the best gel membrane keyboard i have use (though i had the k40), my friend feels like this is the best keyboard ever. I have dipped into the world of mechanical keyboards and it’s hard to go back now. But if you don’t need mechanical, i highly recommend this to you.

I’ve used this for quite a while now and i don’t like it. It’s cheap feeling and i constantly hit the macro key instead of the ctrl.

I was looking for a budget backlit keyboard at a reasonable price. This particular keyboard has a button which allows you to adjust the brightness of the backlit display. There are also several macro buttons which are useful for gaming but could also be used for other functions such as applying effects in photoshop. Overall a very good quality keyboard with nice raised keys. The keys can be pretty quiet (depending on your typing style). Could be good for gaming commentators who don’t want too much background noise.
