Razer Widow Ultimate Stealth 2016 Quiet Mechanical Gaming Keyboard : Great quality as always from

Louder than i expected but beautifully made and you can type incredibly fast on it due to the small movement required to activate the keys.
Love this keyboard, ive never had a mechanical keyboard before and this just feels amazing to type and game with.
Great keyboard, does everything as expected. Slightly louder than i expected.
Great quality, if this is stealth, i dread to think what a noisy keyboard sounds like. However, it is a great keyboard and the noise isn’t an issue as it was primarily for gaming so, i wouldn’t be typing lengthy documents.
I’m old enough to remember when mechanical action keyboards were normal and so cheap you literally couldn’t give them away – i also remember throwing away a few just because they weren’t being used. If only i’d known then what they’d be worth now. For anyone having doubts at spending so much on a keyboard, let me assure you it’s worth the money. The action is precise and light enough for daily use, there’s no cheap wobble to the key travel, the return travel is positive but not overpowering and the noise level is quiet enough that my other half doesn’t moan about it
if you’re light handed enough you’d probably even get away with using it in an office to be honest.Keyboard itself feels like it’s built solid enough to beat whales to death with (not that you would want to) and the usb & audio pass-through is a nice additional extra (no doubt intended to run their gaming headset on but it happily runs my p5 headphones and a usb flash drive or a mouse). The different light settings are kinda cool but frankly a bit gimmicky and annoying as hell after about 10 minutes – mines just set to a softish solid backlight since i don’t want an epileptic fit inducing disco on my desk. Since you can turn them off i don’t class it as a negative. . Unlike the razer synapse software which truly sucks. Granted it will work as a standard keyboard without synapse but you get no control over the light settings (so no lights at all) and no keybindings/macro keys etc. That and the fact that it insists on keeping everything stored on their cloud servers on my system at least, it doesn’t seem to be able to remember my user details so i have to remember to sign in each time i restart the machine.
A massive improvement over the original for one reason.

The reason for 4 stars: noisethe term ‘stealth’ is unfortunately misleading with this product. This keyboard is probably half as quiet as a generic office keyboard, however it is probably no quieter than my previous keyboard, a no thrills ‘gigabyte force k3’ that i got from amazon for £22, about 18 months ago. Basically, if a ‘silent’ keyboard is something you feel very strongly about i would advise to look elsewhere as this product may disappoint you, and i would advise you to look into the non-mechanical keyboards that are similar to laptop keys. To be fair:that being said, i am naturally a hard typist, i press the key down until it stops, where plastic meets plastic. It does after all say ‘quiet’ and not ‘silent’. The main culprit for key sound is the space bar, probably because of the size and increased contact when pressed. It is perfectly possible to type with this keyboard by only pressing the keys down about 1/2 of the way, it really does register well when doing this, and doing so quietens the keys drastically but also slows my typing down considerably. This is something i am used to when gaming late at night so doesn’t bother me much. I play fps games in my room right next door to my parents sometimes til 3am, and assuming the doors are closed i am confident the sound will not usually be an issue in anyone’s home unless you share a room, your parents have big ears of you live in a caravan. ——————generic review:overall i’m very happy with my blackwidow keyboard since silent keys was not a main factor for my purchase.
Is neither quiet nor has the satisfying keypress of a standard mechanical keyboard. But is well built and is still good for speed typing.
Not as quiet as i expected but a lot quieter than his previous one.
Keys dont feel quite as good as mx cherry reds but the sound difference is way worth it imo, keys are much quieter.
This keyboard is a bit more quitee than chroma.
Isn’t exactly silent, but it’s quiet enough not to annoy other people in the room.

Another brilliant product from razer. To those who say razer can’t take a beating, i use this as my daily driver and it hasn’t skipped a beatcheck out my unboxing on youtube[.
Wife brought it for me for xmas great gaming keyboard should have got one years ago.
Before buying this keyboard i was using the razer deathstalker, a considerably different keyboard (membraine with chicklet style keys). Since receiving it almost 2 weeks ago, i’ve had a lot of free time to try it out so i’ve had about 55 hours of gaming time using it. Whilst it is a ‘quiet’ version, it is by no means silent: you still get a bit of noise coming from the keys, although it is nowhere near as loud as standard mechanical keyboards. With a nice set of in ear earphones or headphones, the sound is noticable but not immersion breaking. I quite enjoy the sound of the keyboard clicking away whilst playing a game or typing away for general use. Each keypress has a satisfying sound despite its lower overall noise and you can feel the mechanical switches working as you press. Razer’s new key switches are amazing; at first, i felt they were a little light in comparison to the deathstalker but after some time playing, whether it was breaking in the switches or adjusting to them, they’re amazing to game on. In comparison to the deathstalker, i feel the keyboard is better in all areas apart from one thing: the missing wrist rest. Now, whilst it’s not standard for keyboards to come with a rest, it is something i miss from the transition, but it’s something i can learn to live without. That or i can just buy a standalone one.
