TeckNet Gaming Keyboard Rainbow LED Backlit Mechanical Feeling USB Wired Gaming Keyboard – Quality Keyboard for THE PRICE
The main reason i bought this keyboard was to do a bit of gaming as i have a dell bluetooth keyboard for general photographic editing and use but playing games with it would cause some lag. For the price of the teknet keyboard you can’t go wrong. The only thing i will say however, the key distance is a bit long and will take an hour or so to get the feel of it. Apart from that, it is worth having a spare keyboard around and having it set to multiple different colours is a bonus.
I purchased this as i had spilled tea on my mx red keyboard, totally ruining it, despite drying it out. A replacement was needed quickly so i didn’t have time to go into specs and testing them out so i just went for one that had good reviews, a half-decent amount of ghosting and was a cheap replacement. I am still using this keyboardit might be a membrane keyboard but the feel is actually quite good. Not as good as a red – clearly – but still good and exceeds what i had expected. It handles well in games though i do not play fps very often so your mileage may vary if you do. I also compose music using a combination of keyboard and midi controllers and the ghosting handles multiple key presses well. The illumination is handy and obviously far easier to achieve on a membrane keyboard than mechanical and is more than adequate for the amount paid. The colours are red, blue and purple (and off) in three levels of brightness. My only real gripes are:1: to access the multi-media function, the fn key must be used. It is on the right hand side – away from the media control keys.
I ordered this keyboard as i have heard mechanical keyboards are much better than standard keyboards and i have to say i am definitely not disappointed. The keyboard feels really nice to type with and is incredibly fast and accurate for gaming. The keys are responsive and can easily be used for every day typing as well as gaming. As other reviews have noted the space bar is a bit noisy but you get used to it and isn’t really an issue. I would have liked more colour options for the led’s and am surprised their is no green option with this keyboard but overall for the price you can’t really complain. I am very happy with this purchase and would happily recommend this keyboard to other users as it has since become my daily driver, be it typing whilst working or when playing games.
For the price, the best all around. Gaming keyboard and mosue, really easy for everyday use too. One little thing if you have on and off charge fuction on your motherboard you’ll have the red leds going fulltime if you don’t disable it. And even though build quality is great, not willing to have them on 24/7 due to leds lifespan not having the greatest of records. I won’t be 4 staring it for that as most keyboard and mouse combos don’t really have a disable button of the leds. Mouse is nice and i find it really hard to warm to others, but this one just feels right. And everything really suits my black and red theme i’ve got going on with my pc. The best thing i like about ‘centrophorus’ is it doesn’t look cheap. Update: after using for a couple of days i have noticed a squeaking noise coming from the left click if i press it to close the middle scroll.
Great value for money, the box that it came out looked amazing, the keyboard and mouse came in the same box and they fitted in nice and snug, the lights when they are plugged in look great and the mouse is very comfortable to hold and the weight changing option is a nice feature too, keyboard looks great, keys aren’t hard to press but make a fairly loud noise, not to loud but you would definitely know if you accidentally pressed a key, the only problem so far is that the spacebar makes a loud springy noise when it’s pressed, pressing lighter or harder doesn’t seem to help and it’s really quite annoying, overall a good product just a shame that the only problem so far is an annoying one, hopeful that will wear off soon or i’ll have to remove the key and set what the problem is, maybe add some lubricants or something.

Its a good bundle, better then i thought it would be, for the mouse it probably the best between the two for me, you can also change the weights if you want to. But the keyboard is okay, acceptable, i have two problems, when i am playing and use the media function buttons, sometimes the keyboard thinks the arrows keys are the wasd for some reason?(rarely happens but still annoying) this is crucial for gaming, but its easy to fix unplug the keyboard or if you’re lazy change the bindings for the game or something. Second is how stiff the keys are especially the lshift, backspace and the space button. Other then that it’s pretty good. I am definitely upgrading the keyboard but the mouse will stay longer.
Been looking for a decent keyboard for gaming and standard use, so far really impressed with this one it has a nice feel when typing as doesn’t require a lot of pressure. As someone has already pointed out in the reviews the characters on the keys look like they will rub off at some point in the future but the product is cheap enough. Design of the keyboard is smart, red wasd and arrow keys are glossed and have a smooth feel. The back lights are a great touch. Just ordered another for work. At roughly £14, you can’t go wrong.
gaming keyboard tecknet 105 keys 3 color led backlit mechanical feeling usb wired gaming keyboard, uk layoutgenuinely impressed with this keyboard, heavy, well built and looks great. Most importantly – it worksfor £13. 49 (at the time of writing this review) i think this is the best value gaming keyboard on the market. For an in-depth view have a look at my video on here or on my youtube channel (search for: kris tecknet budget keyboard).
First impressions count when you get something new. I hadn’t even opened the box and it was already notching up the marks, the weight of the keyboard spoke of what was inside. Opened up and out of the well presented packaging the weight of the keyboard lends a good feel of quality to itself. It has borrowed some styling ideas from other mechanical keyboards with the exposed screw’s and vicky feel and would not look out of place next to a razor or corsair board. There is a nice braided cable with a good solid connection into the board and the moulded usb plug is of a good size, that sounds daft but i find small plugs a pain to plug into the back of a pc. I’ve gone from a low level keyboard to this one and at first found it a bit high, but i used some wrist pads which levels out the typing height and it soon became comfortable to use. The key presses are very positive with a mechanical feel to them. You get a similar feel to a board running cherry brown switches. There is no loud click that i find annoying on some mechanicals, but instead you get a feeling of resistance on the key, i suppose this will be down to personal preference. There is some nice touches with the lighting.
Can’t say that it truly feels like a mechanical because it doesn’t, but where other manufacturers are charging over £100 for mechanical’s it will easily suffice. Feels as good as some logitech £70+ keyboards i’ve used. Only annoyance is that it forgets its led colour setting on every reboot but because it has a dedicated key to change the colour instead of some unmemorable keyboard sequence then this isn’t a problem.
I’ve had this keyboard for some time now and it’s is excellent. I seemed to have a minor problem where the enter button keeps getting stuck/slow to pop back up. I swapped it a couple of times with amazon but then the manufacture got in touch with me to make sure everything was good. Really good communication and sent me a new keyboard no questions asked. I have to say, this went from 3 stars (sticky button) to 5 stars immediately.
brought this for my son for a stocking filler, hooked it up to check for any issues and all good. The keyboard is very sturdy and well built, doesn’t feel cheap and flimsy but also a lot lighter than my similar tecknet keyboard. The backlight could do with being a bit brighter as even on the high setting it was just a little too dull for me but looks good all the same, the key presses are very smooth and not overly noisy except the space bar but not that much of an issue. The cable attached to the keyboard is just plain black and not braided like some others but depending on where you place your keyboard this shouldn’t be an issue. Nice budget keyboard with nice lighting effect, great for anyone’s first keyboard or entry level gaming keyboard.
Excellent keyboard and mouse set. Let’s start with the keyboard. Actuation force is perfect, and it is very responsive and perfectly usable for gaming. The keys feel satisfying to click, and although this is not mechanical, it is still very good for gaming. Overall, very good keyboard, however they could have included a wrist rest, but for this price, it’s not really a complaint. Very good, with adjustable dpi and leds that go perfectly with my gaming system. It is responsive and is weighed perfectly. I play first person shooters on this set and it works perfectly fine for me. One thing they could improve is to improve the quality of the scroll wheel. When you use it, it’s clearly not a microswitched ‘mechanical’ keyboard and it’s a stretch to have it described as ‘mechanical feel,’ but it does feel pretty wonderful to use. For the price it’s unbeatable. I keep telling my friends in discord and they keep saying, ‘yeah, yeah, we have proper mechanical keyboards’ but they have no idea what this one feels like. It’s very, very good, and for what i’ve paid compared to what i know they paid for theirs, i think i’m the winner here. ;-)fwiw, i definitely do recommend it – no ‘would recommend’ here – i do recommend it.
This keyboard has a robust mechanical feel that usually comes with more expensive boards and has a metal chassis that makes it quite weighty (so don’t rage with it cos you will definately break something) so far found the keystrikes very reliable for typing, and for gaming the keys are nicely spaced (essecial if you have tree truck fingers such as mine) so far 9/10.
The keyboard arrived the next day and was delivered by dpd who are the worst for delivering packages dented and scratched from either transit or loading. That said the keyboard was in good order inside thank god. It is still early days but i thought id give it my first impressions since ive had it for a couple of days now. Pros:feel sturdy and weighty (although can be seen as a negative)plug and playwindows key lock for in-gamequick access key function3 light functions (although i dont always want it on so im still figuring out if you can have it off permanently and on/off when required)feels pretty responsive so farnot experienced ghosting so farprice is reasonable when you could pay several times over that for a gaming keyboardcon:it has the worse spacebar that i have ever had. (very loud and clunky, especially when playing fps games) why they did that for that key is beyond me, i dont think i will use it for regular document typing. . It doesnt come with black wasd and arrow keys replacement when i think they should provide them. Not sure if the keys detail are painted on or lasered on so we shall see if they fade very easily over the next few months. Delivered by dpd (not the best for looking after your precious goods)conclusion:its an affordable keyboard to get you started and for sure you get abit for that price. There are many improvements that needs done with this hardware and the first thing they need to fix is the rediculously loud spacebar. Even a £10 keyboard from logitech doesnt do that kind of noise and i dont feel like im forcibly tapping it either.
I use a corsair k68 mechanical gaming keyboard at home and wanted something cheap-ish to use at work which was a bit nicer than the generic dell, microsoft, hp etc. Keyboards provided by my workplace. It’s got a good weight to it and has a decent tactile feel for non-mechanical keyboard, definitely feels better than must rubber dome keyboards i have used in the past. It also seems to be capable of taking in multiple key presses at once without locking up, which is important for gaming. It provides 4 lighting modes (blue, red, purple and off), which can be cycled by a dedicated keyboard button, as well as fn keys such as play, pause, next/previous, volume up/down etc. For the price i really can’t fault this item, if you’re looking for something cheap for gaming or work consider giving this ago.
this is a good keyboard on a budget, for £20 that is. I know some people have had the usa layout for this keyboard but i got the uk layout which is good. Quality wise, it feels good for the price. Before opening, i realised the weight. Onto the actual keyboard for the price, it is good. When i say that, i mean, it feels as good as some keyboard that are double the price or even triple or more. It has very minimal flex to it for the materials used. There is a nice braided cable with a good solid connection into the keyboard but it is non-removable. The keyboard itself is not too loud (apart from the spacebar which i will get to) and offers 3 varieties of led colours. Red, purple, and blue with 3 brightness settings. Along with off and a pulsing/breathing effect which scrolls through all 3 led colours and has 3 speeds for this effect. The keys have sort of a gamey looking font on them, but i do not mind as i rarely look down at my keyboard. There are functions for volume control and music control, mail, and more. On to the spacebar, it feels cheap unlike the other keys.
Overall this is a superb keyboard. They is one drawback which stops me giving it a 5 star review and it’s a biggie if (like me) you use a kvm switch. This keyboard does not have an illuminated scroll lock light. Some other reviews have also mentioned this. If you use a kvm switch you will likely use scroll lock to double tap to switch between pc’s and sometimes the scroll lock will stay on and so you need the light to let you know where you are in the on/off cycle. No idea why they omitted it from this keyboard as it has three lights and cap and number lock work as expect, but i have yet to see the 3rd one light up at all. And it’s not just me/this particular keyboard as other reviews on amazon have mentioned this. Apart from that – excellent. At this price is it a genuine bargain (£14)the keys feel good – quite clicky clacky and reminiscent of my old commodore 64, but that’s what gamers are after these days. But easy to type on as well, so overall feels very nice and solid.
Reviews from purchasers :
- Quality Keyboard for THE PRICE
- First impressions count.
- Amazing keyboard with some great features

This is a phenomenal keyboard, after a year of extreme use and abuse it still works nearly perfectly. For £15 this is well worth a purchase, the back-light isn’t anything to write home about but gets the job done. Only now has it started to occasionally get stuck on caps lock when turned on but otherwise a simple ‘unplug and stick it back it’ works fine. When compared to a corsair keyboard i attempted to purchase (and send back twice) this has outperformed it greatly. For £15 this is a steal, its warranty isnt bad too.
For the price of this it is a no brainer. It was intended as a temporary fix for my expensive system as i ran out of funds. Obviously it is not a mechanical keyboard and it is very basic. I read a few people stating it was no good for uk as it is layed out in usa format. All you need to do is go to settings, languages and change the keyboard language pack to usa. The quality is actually pretty decent too. The keys can be removed easy and replaced with different ones if you like. It is good enough to be permanent just i cant live too long without mechanical. The mouse is the best part here.
The previous keyboard i was using was from lenovo, it was plain, boring and old. Hard to type in the dark and some of the keys weren’t always registered. Switiching to this has made everything better. The enbtire key-set being responsive when pressed has made gaming far easier so i’m no longer having to press things repeatedly to get an action to happen. The light behind the keys have also made night-time playing far better too. I can actually see the keys i’m pressing without issue. Multimedia keys are always welcome, prevents the need to go into whatever menu the feature is stored behind.
I got this on a warehouse deal for £12 and it’s crazy good for the price. Most of the cheaper mechanical type keyboards i’ve tried are awful but this feels solid and the functionality is great. The top surround is made from metal, so it’s sturdy. If you’re a lefty you can switch the wasd keys to the arrow keys at the touch of a button, and you can switch between the 3 colour backlit led lights or have them pulse whilst changing colour, you can also change the speed of the pulse. The only thing i’ve noticed is the occasional flicker of the lights, but this could be a power fluctuation from my usb port edit: after a week the led backlights are so dim they might as well be off. Th ekeyboard has a dimming function but trying to turn up the brightnss has no effect. Lights suck, keyboard is otherwise good.
I’d had a basic keyboard for a while, and i finally decided that it was time to jump into the modern age and get something with back-lit keys so i could see what i was typing in the dark. My one and only gripe is that it would be cool if you could get the wasd and arrow keys in normal colour, but honestly i don’t mind too much, and i play games anyway. There are 3 colour settings- red/blue/purple and of course unlit, and this is changed by a dedicated key down near the arrow keys. The letters themselves are back lit as well, not just in between keys. I know this isn’t the case with all back-lit keyboards, but it was an important feature for meit’s set up as a uk keyboard layout, and it has a slightly mechanical keyboard type feel to it, which i like (it feels really good/nice quality, i’d worried it would be a little cheap or flimsy), but i sound like i’m the angriest typer in the world now, i have to admitwhen i got mine, i had two ‘d’ keys instead of an ‘s’. After sending photos and whatnot to the seller, they replied in a super timely fashion and got one sent out to me in just a couple of days. I was really pleased and not offput at all, and they were very polite and apologetic, couldn’t have really hoped for any betterall in all, does the job, and i’m very pleased :).
I needed a quality, comfortable keyboard in black with backlight keys to match my other keyboard. This keyboard has a fast response but also within my budget to use for programming on my raspberry pi. This is exactly what i needed. I spend most of my day using keyboards, so comfort, quality and reliability is priority. The keys are set up and feel like my other tecknet keyboard on my main pc, so it’s very comfortable when switching between keyboards. Once again i’ve saved loads of time searching, i’ve become a fan of technet products, when i need peripherals i just search technet on here because it’s always quality, within my budget and arrives fast.

I bought this keyboard about 7-8 months ago and it’s been an absolute delight to spend hours gaming or typing on it. It’s a tiny bit noisy but then so are most gaming keyboard anyway. About a month ago, the keyboard started having issues where the main ‘enter’ key would get stuck when pressed. It was surely annoying especially when you’re typing and i was about to give up on it until i thought of getting in touch with the customer service team at tecknet. The team was fantastic, responsive and sent me a replacement keyboard after an attempt to repair it.
A well made keyboard with some neat features, such as the various backlight colours and a lockable windows key. The red wasd keys are a nice touch, too. I do feel that ‘mechanical feeling’ is a bit of a marketing term, though. Having tried a few mechanical keyboards, the keys on this lack that satisfying ‘clunk’ feeling and noise that the genuine switches offer. You wouldn’t have to pay that much more for a real mechanical keyboard (tecknet themselves do one for only £25) so if you want the real deal then you might as well go for one of them. But, on its own merits, it’s a fine enough keyboard and i find it satisfying to use for non-gaming applications, it looks very swish (especially when paired with a gaming mouse that also has leds) and it is much more tactile than the flat, squishy keyboards you normally get at the lower end of the spectrum. One minor quibble is that there is no left function key, which i find means i have to think a bit harder when using the f-key shortcuts, but this may be because i am left-hand dominant. I would also suggest purchasing a wrist wrest, if you do not already own one, as the keyboard has quite a high profile. In conclusion, a decent keyboard for every day usage as well as gaming but be aware that if you want the sharp action offered by, say, cherry mx switches, this isn’t going to fool the connoisseur.
This is a very good keyboard, especially for the price. It looks good, feels good, and performs even better. However, very annoyingly after about a month’s use, the ‘enter’ button has started to stick upon use. This is incredibly annoying, whilst gaming but also whilst performing everyday tasks. It’s even sticking now as i write this reviewi’m hoping that this is a one-off thing, cause i am otherwise very pleased with the quality of this keyboard. In conclusion, i would thoroughly recommend this keyboard to anyone. Gamer or not, this performs well and feels professional. Update 12/03/2018 —after having got in contact with voxonstore (the sellers of this keyboard) i can confirm that they are replacing the keyboard for me to resolve my issue. Very good customer service, impeccable manners and helpful so i strongly recommend buying through them.
This was delivered very quickly and when opened my son said he wanted one for his pc. I plugged it in and both the mouse and keyboard lit up red but the lights stay, which doesn’t matter to me. I like the way the cursor/wasd keys can be swapped around as well as the inbuilt key functions such as volume control etc. The mouse and keyboard are both great and i haven’t had a problem with either but the only quibble i have is that i wish the keyboard had a slightly more mechanical/clicky feel (i’m old school) like the old dell keyboards but as it stands, for the price look and feel i’m happy, very happy and will order another soon.
I bought this keyboard for 3 reasons. 1: i wanted a keyboard that was back-lit so i could type in a darkened room without having to put the light on and strain against the glow of the monitor to see what keys i was pressing (i can touch-type but when you’re tired. 2: i wanted a keyboard that was comfortable to type on, keys big enough for my fingers, and a pleasing ‘click’ each time i depressed a key. And 3: both me and my daughter play overwatch, so i wanted a good gaming keyboard without breaking the bank. The gaming keyboard tecknet 105 keys 3 colour led. . Ta-dahlike anything that you plug into your computer, you want something that will do the job and not be a gimmick. This is not a gimmick keyboard. It is heavy, robust, has 3 back-lit colours (that can turn off too), is comfortable for both typing and gaming and ticks all my boxes. It looks good too, oh and the price was very good.
while this item is cheap, nothing about it feels cheap. I have been using it for almost two weeks as a replacement gaming keyboard for my corsair vengeance k70 (note this is a £120 keyboard). Key points:the feel of the keys is unbelievable, for the price you will struggle to find something better. the lights are good quality, but not too bright so as to distract you. The choice of colours are: red, blue and purplethe keys themselves are very responsive, i have not felt the button lag as of you. They are also relatively quiet in comparisonincludes a gaming mode which allows you to disable the windows key, similar to the k70, which is incredibly useful. the keyboard itself is quite heavy so it won’t slide about like some cheaper keyboards. In the image and video, the top keyboard is the k70, with the bottom one being the tecknet3overall, for under £20, this keyboard is nothing short of a bargain.

Much better quality than i was expecting. Backlit keycaps good for key hunting in the dark. Has a lockable windows key and wasd keys that work as arrow keys and vice/versa if you want. Design is thick and well raised, very comfortable’cons’fn key isn’t where i’d put it ideally and the screening on the keycaps isn’t that neat, we’ll see how long it holds up. Numlock/capslock/scroll lock lights are always blue and quite bright, irrespective of backlight colour. Heavy-ish, but also a pro because you won’t knock it about accidentally. Don’t bother with anything more expensive, gaming keyboards are a waste of money.
I bought this as a backup and use this on any spare computers i set up / repair. Very impressed for the price and prefer it to the flimsy hp and dell keyboards that come with the computers. So far i have had no compatibility issues and even works well under linux so can’t ask for any more. Its never going to match a top quality keyboard but for the money it’s good.
It’s a really nice keyboard. Surprisingly heavy and solid built. The keys have really nice feel and are responsive. It has extendable feet, but they could do with a bit of rubber under them. Keyboard doesn’t slide without them, but after you extend it does start to slide a bit. Nothing major, but worth mentioning. Usb cable is braided, which is a nice touch. You can choose from 3 lighting options – blue, red and purple. Also, you can press fn + light key for breathe mode that automatically cycles between colors.
Like i said in the headline, i’m no pro when it comes to gaming these days but i have in the past bought keyboards at over 5 times the price of this one. When the spacebar finally stopped working properly on my ‘pro gamer’ (expensive) keyboard after 5 years of daily work use and some high spec gaming i decided i’d give up and get a new one and fired up amazon. After seeing this (and reading a few reviews and youtube vids) i decided to give this a go. At this price even if it did turn out ‘bad’ i could always put it into reserve or use it for my laptop. The simple fact is that this keyboard is as good as some of the higher end boards as far as i can tell. The only negative for me is the keys can be a little more ‘noisy’ than some of the high priced counterparts. But you know, for the price, i’ll take that. The board is sturdy, about the right weight and compact enough to not take over your whole desktop with pointless additional padding to justify the pricing. It is responsive, well spaced, easy to set up and i honestly can’t fault it. The customisation (lighting etc) isn’t as involved or feature-filled as perhaps others boards but i’m not taken in by all that stuff and don’t really want a rainbow disco on my desk anyway.
The keyboard looks great but because i’m a stickler for detail, i’d rather send this back and purchase the item again. The reason behind this is just because one of the arrow buttons is the ‘d’ buttons. I know it’s stupid but i want my setup to be perfect. I recommend to anyone to buy this keyboard for the feel or look plus the sound of the keys while i had it sounded great.
Great keyboard, excellent value, this keyboard, is as far as i am concerned up there with the best of them. Everything about it is good, build quality, the first thing you will notice when you receive it is the weight. 3 lighting options (red, blue, and purple, blue colour matches my g502 gaming mouse. Braided usb cable, i really recommend this for anyone in the market for a budget gaming keyboard, you will not be disappointed.

First of all, this keyboard is massively tall. It’s not just the keys, which i expected, but the base is also very thick. This means i can’t rest my wrists on the table and type comfortably. Resulting in painful wrists. I inquired the seller if there was a matching wrist-rest available, which the seller responded by saying no. Secondly, a few months of use and the enter key starting sticking. However, the seller was helpful and resolved the issue for me. The support offered warrants some extra stars.
I find this really hard to use as the keys really feel mechanical and have a high lift. It is a bit retro for my tastesmy sons think it is the bees knees and is very much on style for game playing. I wouldn’t want to try and type a letter on it as it feels to me like a manual typewriter but it will stand the frantic button pressing as they try and kill players in fortnite.
