Thermaltake E-Sports Talon Blu Gaming Mouse : Three Stars

This is an amazing mouse for the price. The lighting settings are cool and i use them once inawhile depending on if i am in the mood. Feel of the mouse is very apealing and comfy. The weight of it is perfect for me.
Decent mouse, nice cpi variation, easy to changeno software needed. Easy to hold, nice wheel feel. Nice lights, easy to switch between solid/breathing/offmy previous mouse (redragon centrophorus) had quite the straight line prediction, while this one doesn’t seem to have any. Edit: recently i started having some issues. It keeps disconnecting randomly from my laptop. (tried different port, same thing, tried different mouse, no issues)edit: 2 new issues. At times the sensor stops working. I can;t move the mouse, but the keys can be used.
A bit smaller than i hoped it would be compared to the similar one i have.
Good for the first few months, worked flawlessly, no gaps etc. One day it suddenly starts stuttering and becomes impossible to use, the stutter is something internal with the mouse and nothing external and to do with my pc etc. I know this because i plug in another mouse and it works with no problems. So all of a sudden, the mouse has started lagging and stuttering becoming impossible to use and thats £15.
For the price i couldnt wish for a better mouse. Unbeilivably comfortable havent had a single problem with it. Had it for more than a year now. If you are considering to buy a cheap mouse i recommend it.
Has been used reliably for over a year and has never failed to impress me at its price. Its perfect for first person shooters as the tracking is accurate. Nothing flashy either just a simple design.

- Make sure this fits
by entering your model number. - AVAGO 3050 OPTICAL SENSOR – The AVAGO 3050 Optical sensor found inside the TALON Blu gaming mouse offers up to sensitivity up to 3000 DPI. The sensor is very accurate in precision, has no prediction, and has a high perfect control speed (meaning even low sens. users who rely on very fast movement will still have perfect tracking).
- OMRON SWITCHES – Industry standard, OMRON switches provide a crisp clean click with a life cycle of 5 million clicks. The TALON Blu gaming mouse plans to compete as long as you do.
- BLUE LED LIGHTING – The TALON Blu has blue LED lighting with static and Pulse lighting patterns. [To change the lighting pattern or turn lighting off]: press left click (mouse1) and press the DPI adjustment button simultaneously. This will cycle through pulse lighting, static lighting, and turning the lighting off.
- SENSITIVITY THE WAY YOU WANT IT – The TALON Blu has a dedicated DPI adjustment button on top of the mouse. The lighting system will flash to denote the DPI setting. Flash: once = 500 DPI / twice = 750 DPI / three times = 1500 DPI / four times = 2500 DPI / five times = 3000 DPI
- REMOVABLE SIDE PANELS – The TALON Blu gaming mouse features removable side panels, so that users may further adjust the shape of the mouse to their liking.
Could not find a better mouse for such a price. (with a possible exception of kata nemesis)the only thing i have noticed about it is after a while it starts disconnecting every now and then. I was too lazy to send it back, so i voided the warranty and took a peek inside. It seems like at least for me, the disconnecting was caused by the cord being really badly cramped inside the mouse under the chip (not the best design there). After a while it wears out and the wires inside the insulation simply break. So what i did was something magical. I just moved the cord to a not-so-cramped position and fixed the broken wire.
The blue led’s are perfect, the feel is great and the side mouse buttons also work great.
Very good mouse for the money. Bought it for my son who loves it. Just a few comments from a more experienced user. Sensitivity is just right for 1080p gaming for average user but would probably be too low at higher resolutions. I personally set my corsair m65 to custom 3600 which is too much for this one. Mouse feels light in hand and is reasonable in size. Blue light is a nice feature but can be switched off. There’s a few set dpi settings but no indicator as to which one is being used. The wheel is ok but has a jump when do 360 which luckily doesn’t really happen in games but is slightly annoying when browsing. Considering it is under £20 at the time of writing it’s a great mouse but there are better mice for £40+ corsair m65 and asus rog glasius being the 2 i’d go for.
Amazing mouse, lovely to the touch, amazing lights, comfy, braided cable is nice. I have done a video review herehttp://youtu. Be/vtwovb3tmwa?list=uur6m8ovqtmy0qjszhowvaoq.
Bought this for my gamer husband and he’s obsessed with this mouse. It shines pretty and works excellent.
Short version: if you’re a cheapskate and you want a mouse that works, it’s fine. Long version: i had been using a generic cheap mouse for a while, and as i needed a new one and play a lot of pc games, started looking at so-called gaming mice. I didn’t want to spend too much, but also didn’t want to spend more than entry level on something that wasn’t up to snuff. I started looking at the logitech g402, the steelseries rival 100 etc. This was cheapest, so i went with it. I think my hand is larger than average – around 7 and 3/4 inches from palm to the tip of my middle finger. I was a little wary that it’d be too small, but it doesn’t feel small with a hybrid palm/fingertip grip. I have a mousemat with a wrist-rest though, so my palm rests back on that a bit. I’d look for something a bit larger if you have a full on palm grip and hands about my size. Functionality wise, it works.

Happy with the materials and with the fit for my large (ish) hands. Not a lot of functionality, but buttons have a positive feel and the sensor seems quite precise on the middle sensitivity options.
Till now (1 month of usage) it works really goodi would recommend especially for this pricei also did not notice any gaps in quick moves when gaming, so that is something very good.
pros:1) soft touch plastic material, makes it easier to hold the mouse and more comfortable. 2) the blue led’s are nice to have and add a nice aesthetic to the mouse. 3) the scroll wheel has notches to indicate where you are and it also has a grippy texture to easily click and move the mouse wheel. 4) there are 2 buttons on the side which act as back and froward buttons on browsers and can be remapped in games. 5) the dpi switch is also tactile and once clicked, you get feedback through the colours as once you change the dpi, the colours flash. 6) the sensor is precise and the mouse works well in video games such as cs:go and other fps games. Cons:1) the mouse wheel did end up not working at one point as when i clicked the mouse wheel, it ended up clicking multiple times and if you wanted to open for example, a bookmark from chrome on a new tab, it ended up opening 4 different tabs with 1 click. This somehow fixed itself and it doesn’t do it anymore, but i would be cautious about it. 2) the mouse feet where also uneven so on flat surfaces, it used to rock around a bit since it wasn’t flat. All in all a very solid mouse and nice packaging is also appreciated.
For the price, you will hardly find a better gaming mouse. Really comfortable, smooth tracking, great sensor, lots of dpi settings and most importantly, it looks cool. It also has a matte finish which feels great. You can turn on or off the lights by pressing the left click and dpi button at the same time. Overall, you won’t be disappointed :).
