Nixeus Revel Gaming Mouse PMW 3360 – perfect for a low price
It’s a safe shape, i was worried that i wouldn’t like it’s shape, as my other mice had been qpad 8k & mionix naos 7000, but to my surprise i like it a lot. Pixart 3360cheapit just works.
Basically, a sensei with a 3360. It’s not quite a sensei, the dm1 pro s feels like a more accurate copy (yes i have one too). Not a huge fan of the shape (prefer wmo / deathadder), but it is what is. G303 would be 9 / 10, my fk1 a 8. It’s notchy, but more precise than fk1, the mb3 rather stiff like a zowie. Not on par with the best g303 / kpm). Tracking and feel is outstanding.
Had time to get used to this and it’s decent. Everything is good – price good – buttons responsive and work well – dpi jumps work well with my games – colour of dpi makes it easy to cycle to right dpi setting – mouse wheel bumps nicely when scolling – cable good – grip feels good – plastic grippy enough – mouse feet seem good despite what i read online – glides smoothly on mouse mat.
Looks nice, be aware of qc issues though, my mouse2 is mushy and the mouse feet scrape a bit on the pad. I got demolished by tax by getting it from massdrop (over £50 total). I’d be alot less upset if i paid £36 now that it’s on amazon.
Shape is almost exactly the same as the sensei. Maybe a millimetre or so longer but still feels the same as the sensei (extremely comfortable). The optical sensor is significantly better than the sensei raw’s laser sensor. I can feel it being much easier to aim with than my sensei raw (playing games like starcraft 2, overwatch and osu). Mouse buttons do feel a bit different, they seem to have more travel than the sensei which provides good feedback. My only concern is that the longer travel distance may cause the buttons to deteriorate over time. However i’ve only had it 2 days so time will tell. Middle mouse button feels good, it sticks out a little more than the sensei but feels very accurate to scroll with while remaining comfortable to click down during gameplay. Only minor downside is that the dpi isn’t software controllable. The steps in dpi seem small enough that most people could find a dpi they feel comfortable with.

I’m a mice freak and have tested literally anything on the market. From most logitech models with pmw3366 sensor (g pro, g502, g403, g303) to zowie models with 3310 (za, fk, ec), razer, etc. This nixeus revel is the best mouse i ever used. Its pmw3360 implementation is one of the best i tried, is very responsive and snappy. The mouse is so light that it can work in any type of game, including fast paced shooters like quake (wich is my most played game). The materials don’t feel cheap at all, wich was one ofd my main concerns, due to the mouse being so cheap. You have software available to customize all the lightning and sensor behaviour. Just make sure you update the firmware to the latest one for the best sensor performance. Mine didn’t come with the last firmware and i bought it in november 2017. The only downside is the fact the buttons are a bit stiff compared to logitech models, but is a minor isse to me as i love its shape and performance.
Got it used and absolutely love itthe sensor is unbeleavable. Normal gaming mice with this cost double and more. Design is perfect coming from an old wmo 1. No uneeded software, just raw pure mouse power. Would buy another one in the future. Thank you nixeus for an unbeleavable product that is basicly the new wmo1. 1a that kills any logitech product any day.
The nixeus revel has side buttons on the left side of the mouse, though the shape is ambidextrous in design, and so there is no reason it couldn’t be used by left handed users. Though of course you won’t have easy access to the side buttons. Pros…- excellent optical sensor (3360)- 20m omrons- no sensor rattle- ambidextrous shape (side buttons on left side)- small-medium hands (palm/claw), large hands (claw/fingertip)- weighs roughly 85g without the cable- programmable buttons- dpi button- multi colour lighting (though not quite rgb)- plug and play (software is optional)cons…- rubber cable is very flimsy (gets caught on things – bungie will help a little)- mouse1/mouse2 feel weird when pressed at the edges of the buttons- can’t change lodthis mouse has excellent performance, and where i live, it is currently the cheapest mouse with a 3360 sensor. It also has 20m omron switches, which is a nice touch – it’s just a shame that the implementation feels a little weird. If you would like to see a more in-depth video review, search youtube for “joshtechbytes nixeus revel review”. I have included some pictures from multiple angles, as well as a shot with my other mice for comparison.
Nice and accurate, very light and a good shape. Now comes with software to change button bindings, dpi and pollrate, and lighting. Not sure if it’s a bug in the software or device itself but it seems to fall slightly below your target dpi, as i’m measuring 750dpi when set to 800dpi using mousetester. This can be easily normalized to the speed you’re used to by multiplying your mouse speed in game by 800/750.
A budget priced mouse with the highest end components. Good size and weight, my last mouse was a steelseries and this feel’s very familiar. The mouse dragged and scraped across my razer goliathus control mouse pad because it has a textured surface, which sucked, but the mouse came with another set of mouse feet in a plastic bag, so i peeled the old one’s off and stuck the new one’s on, very easy. Problem solved, slides great now.
One of the best mices i have used.
I am a keen gamer and have many gaming mice – in fact collecting mice has almost become a hobby within a hobby. My hands are 19cm middle finger tip to base of palm which is about average. I own razer deathadder/naga/mamba te, roccat kone pure/xtd, cm storm alcor/mizar, ozone neon, func ms-2/3, mionix naos, zowie ec-1/2/1-a,thermaltake theron/ventusx, steelseries kana/sensei/rival, logitech g303/g502, corsair sabre etc. One of my favourite mouse shapes over the years has been the steelseries sensei which is an ambidextrous design. I find this shape very comfortable and easy to lift and reposition. I game at low sensitivities so repositioning the mouse is frequently required. I have two sensei pros (the normal and the mlg edition) and five sensei raws (glossy, heat orange, diablo iii, guild wars ii and heroes of the storm) and keep going back to them after experimenting with other mice. The problems with the senseis are in my opinion:1) thick braided cables that tend to drag on the mousepad (can be reduced by using a mouse bungee)2) thumb buttons on both sides (they are true ambidextrous mice although the side not used can be deactivated in software)3) laser sensors that have some mouse acceleration (not particularly noticeable but it is there)i’m always looking for new mice and came across a review of the nixeus revel and bought one. The revel is a very similar shape to the sensei, perhaps a fraction smaller but certainly bigger than the steelseries kana. It has thumb buttons only on the left side, an optical sensor and a soft rubber coated cable so addresses all the reservations i had with the sensei.
Best mouse i ever had in my entire life, good sensor, build quality is good, fits very my hand, perfect for claw grip :d. Here are the specifications for the Nixeus Revel Gaming Mouse PMW 3360:

Lighter than expected and sometimes not responding after booting (common problem based on my research. Pro:completely customable sensitivity settings.
Everything is as described, seller even included backup mouse pads. Working great, for this price (£36.
Good price and a sensor but the mouse is not fully ambidexterous. As a left hander the feeling is just not right. Still a great deal for right handed ppl.
I’ve bought the mouse for one month and i can say it is worth it. For this price, i believe that you can’t have higher expectations. The shape was perfect and the sensor ( 3360 ) – nothing to say about it. The build quality is fine in my opinion and the weight is optimal for shooters in order to make fast movements. My only issue with it , is that when my computer sometimes (not always ) wakes up. It doesn’t activate with it. Replugging it, solves the problem. It is mentioned already in the questions , so i don’t think it’s a crucial issue.
One of the best fps-gaming mice, if not the best. All-a-round nothing major to complain, does everything atleast at the level good.
Perfect shape, sensei shape with a decent pwm3366/0 sensore. I’ve read of people saying the feet catch on their mats but i certainly don’t have that problem. Lod is good for not being able to define it yourself. Build is fine, clicks are satisfying on all buttons including the side buttons. I’ve hear some folks think the side buttons travel too far but i don’t think they do and they are placed perfectly for me as i don’t have to over stretch my thumb to reach them as i do me sensei. The rubber cable hasn’t snagged once with me. My only gripe is the dpi switch which cycles through 6 different settings which is a pain when you want to switch from then back to the other. A piece of software to allow the user to define this would make this one of my favourite gaming mice of all time.
