Shogun Bros. Ballista MK-I 82 Wired Pro 8200dpi Commander Series Gaming Mouse – Knight Black (PM-1002-BL) – Great gaming mouse with a couple of minor flaws

I’ve not used many mouses before this, decided to take a chance on it and it has been great, i’ve been using it for around a year now, still comfortable to use (min 8 hours a day, usually 12+) it’s been great for gaming, improved my aim in fps with the easy to change sensitivity settings, havn’t used the macro’s much but i did set up a couple for autoclickers and for mmo stuff, very easy to set up. Cant recommend this mouse enough.

This mouse is fabulous our teenager loves it for gaming thank you great quality item and super speedy delivery.

Purchased in 2012-2013 still use it every day at work (10 hour shifts 5 days week for a few years) , best marco system ever. This mouse is better than the g700s logitech. I have that one for my home pc and it’s no way as good for hot keys/ marcos.

More customisation than you will need, well built, comfortable. Best mouse i have ever used.

Works like a treat, and easy to use; couldn’t ask for better and would always recommend to any of my friends.

Without doubt the best mouse i’ve had in 30 years, (bearing in mind i’ve got wide hands and short fingers), logitech’s g1 was ok but this is 10 /10 on all counts. Comfort, build quality, software customization, on the fly dpi adjust, bling (nice but subtle rgb), had it for over 5 years and have just bought a new one in case they discontinue it .

  • Good but lacking button config for all buttons.

  • outstanding mouse pc gamer gave it top marks

  • Took a chance, did not regret it.

Love this mouse it’s well build, solid construction. Just a few points that stop it getting 5 stars. First the dpi, 8200dpi is mental the mouse is almost uncontrollable at that setting, i have had to wind the dpi down as low as it will go for desktop and most games despite running at 1440p. The drivers are slow to load at start up but are easy to use and finally, the right side thumb buttons (default to forward and back in browser) the back button is a little to far back to comfortably click if you’re in a rush in a game but this could just be because i have larger than average hands.

I have used mk-1 for about a month now in all sorts of different games and also in 3d modelling and design applications and so far i’m very pleased with the mouse handling. It holds nice and firmly in my hand. All the long gaming and work sessions have been a pleasure due to the comfortable design of mouse. Buttons are well placed, and i especially enjoy the dpi button, which lets you change dpi up and down, not just cycle around dpi values. Also the four dpi indicator lights are nice and practical, making it easy to see, on which dpi level i am. Another good design element is the rubber area on the left side, which doesn’t get slippery under thumb, thus giving excellent grip all the time. Regarding the software, then that is also looking good. Macro editing has been made quite easy to do. Now what i don’t like so much, this is quite my own preference, are the two buttons on the rights side of the mouse. They are not really good to use in actual gaming situation for me.

It’s chunky and has a nice weight to it which i really like. The ability to change the dpi on the fly via easy to reach buttons is useful in some games. However i was disappointed that those same buttons were not customizable. I didn’t really buy this mouse for the dpi changing feature, it’s useful to have when you’ve got it but i actually brought it because it had a lot of buttons and boasted how they were customizable. I expected to be able to change what buttons did what to my own liking but the 2 underneath my thumb in particular were stuck as the dpi changing buttons. For someone who plays rpg games more than fps i really needed the button config changeable. In the end i ended up with just the 2 buttons above my thumb and the 2 near my pinky being changeable. Considering out of those 4 buttons only 2 were actually reachable in comfort and with little effort that didn’t’ interrupt my gaming i was very disappointed to be stuck with just 2 extra viable and customizable buttons to play with. I used the mouse for about 4 months as despite the lack of buttons it was a really good and responsive mouse. During that time i found myself playing planetside 2 so changing dpi quickly was very useful.

Is hard to get use to at first because of back being a bit narrow coming from a razer death adder 3. 5but the tracking on a mouse mat is great best used for fps to be honest i have not really messed with macros etc but the software seems finewould def recommend just make sure you have a mouse mat though i always have done lazer mice don’t like desks to much unless they are certain types.

What can i say a great mouse probably the best mouse i have owed to date recommend to any pc gamer plenty of setting so you can set your mouse to your speed and style great buy.

I have a roccat kone+, a rat5 and have recently given away my older razer naga epic, so have experience with current gaming mice. Now i purchased this thinking, new name not heard of it, wonder what its really like. Read many very good reviews (gaming mags etc) so decided to buy it. I am really glad i did, its an incredible gaming mouse, very comfortable for right handed (not a left hand version available i don’t think), buttons are many and all worth having for gaming. Its a very good weight, the reviews i read said it was a little lightweight, but its not, around the same as my roccat kone plus, with two of the weights added, that’s the weights for the roccat, there is no weights supplied with the ballista, but they are not needed anyway, because as said its a very nice weight for gaming. Glides across my hard gaming surface with ease and its very precise. I game on the pc a lot and have owned many of the top end gaming mice, i would put this mouse up there with them. What makes it win out even more is the price which, if the name was more known, could easily be double the price.

Recently i went out and got myself one of these and at first i was really unsure after not having heard about the name before. I spent quite a while checking out all the features and i have to say i actually love the mouse. The grip on the side was a little weird to get used to but it turned out to be pretty awesome. If you are looking for a mouse that can change dpi fast and have multiple macros but also just basically feel like a normal mouse with a good grip, then this really is for you and i recommend it thoroughly.

There were lots of little scratches and scuffs on bottom of mouse so appeared to be used. Was expecting a break away part to the usb cable but there wasn’t. Some of the buttons felt a bit cheap. Fitted hand very nicely and was very good to use. Was returned due to looking second hand. Bought a razer ouroboros instead which you could tell was a higher quality mouse.

Best mouse on planet bar none. Keep your 1000 button mmorpg / wow mice (use a game pad)i don’t think they sell these anymore so if you see one get it.

Excellent mouse – aimed at the gamer – good price for the features – not sure if i’m going to use it to its full potential even though i play every night.

Family gamer very very happy with mouse, delivered very quickly.

Extreme movement sensation^12000 Frame Per Sec^Laser Sensor

Pc gamer gave it top marks in the mouse division , and you cant get a more reputable score than theres. And i have to honestly agree with them. You only have to check the reviews from the majority of retailers and know you are getting an excellant gaming mouse. Not worth buying for work or office use. , going ott with this for that purpose. It would be towards durability. Although i do go a bit far when playing dota2 and maybe would last longer if i didnt get to engrossed ;-)anyway still gets 9/10 from me.

I love this mouse & i have used lots of different mice over the years, but this is by far the best. . Very easy to use & switch between settings on the fly.

Brilliant and good value mouse. I have no issues with it whatsoever unlike some of the much more expensive mice that i’ve owned.

Excellent mouse, great sensitivity and good price. Only problem is the awkward placement of one of the macro buttons on the front of the right mouse button.

I took a chance buying this mouse, as shogun bros are hardly a renowned company. I was worried it wouldn’t be as reliable as a mouse from logitech or another large brand. I have been thoroughly impressed with this mouse since it arrived, and i don’t regret the purchase at all. I’ve been using the mouse for several months now. It is ergonomically perfect for my relatively large hands using a palm grip. It can be seen from the pictures that this mouse is not for lefties at all, but suits right-handers very well. I can use this mouse for hours without any discomfort at all. The sensor and tracking are also flawless. They provide pinpoint precisionfor all uses, especially fps gaming. There has never any stuttering or poor motion detection in my time using it.

Very surprised by this mouse as i’d not heard of the manufacturer before. I was coming from a cm storm inferno and didn’t think this would really live up to that, but it’s done very well. Software wise, there isn’t much to say. It’s simple, but you don’t really need anything more than that. You can change what keystrokes the buttons will send. Hardware wise, i’m really impressed. The mouse fits nicely in my hand and glides wonderfully over my desk (cheap desk from argos, chipboard with veneer). There a plenty of buttons for binding, including side scrolling which is a nice addition and can be rebound like the other buttons. A few of the buttons (forward, back and the two extras on the right of the mouse) have a slightly tacky, gloss plastic feel and are quite small.
