VILTROX C-AF 2X Magnification Teleconverter Extender Auto Focus Mount Lens : Does exactly what it says on the tin!!
Works as expected, only issue is that the autofocus doesn’t quite work, but that might be more to do with the lens attached, needed to use manual focus instead.
I am very pleased with this product. It’s alot cheaper then the canon lens(which i’m sure is excellent, but alot more in the pounds and pence department) i am very pleased with results, i nearly always shoot in raw format and use an high speed class 10 sd card; as the write speeds are so much better now. I also use high end software to correct any abnormalities i might find in my shots. So for me anyway i am very pleased with lens, if your on a tight budget when it come to lenses and accessory’s, i can highly recommend this lens.
Great lens for doubling your lens distance.
Was expecting this to fit on both my canon 1300d and zoom lense but had to buy a different lense.
Had a go with it over christmas very pleased can’t wait to go on walks over my local parkland and take photos of the birds on the lake.
Quick delivery and works perfect.
The cheaper alternative to a massive lens.
This is a gift for my husband and he is thrilled with this.
- Struggled initially on a 70D with 90-300 lens but it came good on the second time out
- Does exactly what it says on the tin!!
- Autofocus could be better

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Doubled the focal length of my 300mm lens. I am now able to get closer shots of wildlife & birds.
I tried this on my 6d mk 2 with a canon ef 90-300 lens (what i bought it for) and it failed. Error so bad i had to remove the battery to reset the camera. I then tried it on my 400d with the same lens and it worked perfectly, even auto-focused. Since the resolution is rather low on this camera i tried it on my wife’s 70d (with the same lens) which it is claimed to be compatible with. This also produced an error and would barely function but not nearly as bad as the 6d mk 2. I would only use on a lower spec camera. Since it doesn’t function on the cameras i want to use it on i will be sending it back and saving for the canon version. Update: i have had another go with this on the 70d in full manual mode and this time the lens even tried to auto-focus. It didn’t succeed at 2x 300mm aimed at the moon but at least it tried and no errors – maybe it just hadn’t made a proper connection last time. I have yet to try it on the 6dmk2, but since it delivered as promised i have changed my mind and will keep it.
I have taken a couple of photos with this on my canon eos 1100d & a tamron 500m lens, as i’m only likely to use this on a few occasions the results are very impressive very sharp at a cropped 1600m, for me it’s great value for £69. 99 as against £400 for a canon 2x. But if your into serious wildlife then this may not be for you. I should point out that it was on a tripod & manual focused i’m just coming up eighty so i’m not exactly 20/20 vision but looked great on the computer. There is as mentioned a problem with autofocus when over 200m, i found it hunted at 300m. But if your into photography it shouldn’t be a problem manual focusing. At this price it’s worth a try.
Autofocus on my eos 1100d is simply lost. Battery lasts no time at all with adaptor on, either in a/f or m/f.
