Logitech G110 Gaming Keyboard, Excellent Keyboard – Minor Faults

This keyboard works but it has downsides about pretty much every aspect of it. Not sure if this is typical of a gaming keyboard but the prop clips at the back barely raise the keyboard at all. Next, the keys themselves are very mushy. Again, this may be how gamers prefer it but i’m finding it hard to get used to. Sometimes if i am holding a key like w to move forward in a game, it will release before it pops back up. Fairly sure it’s not supposed to do thatit has a built-in audio device so you can plug your headset in. Well, being its own device, the audio stops getting processed by whatever was doing it before. The sound quality is inferior compared to the sound on my motherboard, mainly because the realtek driver can be tweaked in numerous ways, whereas the keyboard audio device has no driver at all and therefore cannot be tweaked.

Bought this years ago and still use it to this very day very good keyboard would recommend.

Great keyboard at an affordable price. Colour modes seem a bit unnecessary as its just red, blue and purple with really no purpose but why not i suppose. Rarely use the hotkeys at the left of the keyboard although i rarely play games that would require such functions. Feels good to type on and the keys respond well to the touch without much pressure. A very big complaint i have though is that the spacebar squeaks often when pressed which drives me insane sometimes. I know its most likely just my keyboard that suffers this fate but it only started happening after the 30 day returns policy so it may be a global conspiracy to drive me insane.

Great product, programmable, illumination adjustable to mood, good weight which grips surface and remains steady during use. Does have a plastic-feel (yes that’s because it is) but is a nice keyboard overall.

I have had the keyboard for 6 months so far and it’s been good, not a single problem. It works equally well under windows 7 and linux, although the logitech software is not linux compatible, there are drivers available for it. My previous keyboard was also a logitech keyboard (the g15) and i have never had a complaint about that either (it suffered a tragic accident involving water).

I have absolutely nothing back to say about this keyboard. It does everything i need it to do and the extra keys allow me to customize what i am doing depending on the task. Would recommend for anyone looking for a good gaming keyboard, though it does take some getting used to but that is pretty much the same with most keyboards so that is not a downside that is specific to this particular keybaord.

This is ideal for people who don’t want to have the giant lcd screen similar to the g19. Pros- volume control and ability to plug in a usb device (this will work well for my turtle beach headset)- windows button disable key for those annoying moments when you accidently hit the windows key in-game- 12 macro keys- range of different led colourscons- because of the macro keys the windows and ctrl key are to the left which can be annoying if you are used to hitting the windows key in the bottom left. However you can easily get used to this. – led backlight is a little dim. Overall i would defintly recommend this product to anybody who needs a gaming keyboard to play games like bf3, gta.

, Fantastic Keyboard!
, It lights up! I like lights

This is a great gaming keyboard, it’s still running well after several years even though it has endured some pretty severe abuse at times. I would definitely want to buy something similar once this one dies.

Good control over backlight colours means you can choose how in-your-face it is. I like the key action, though the spacing is slightly off its not a big deal. Lots of extra keys and easily programmable macros. Only poor feature in my opinion is the oddly small legs, which hardly tilt the keyboard to you at all when fully extended. I wouldnt let this put you off, if you want a glow-in-dark keyboard this is spot on.

I’ve always liked logitech stuff, but this keyboard didn’t quite meet my expectations. The keys are very high, which i wasn’t expecting, so that took a little adjustment. Also the plastic has a strange texture that feels ‘soft’. I am still, after a few weeks, adjusting to the keyboard but i am getting there. The extra keys on the left mean your brain will think your hands are too far to the right, and you’ll end up typing one or two keys to the left until you get used to it. For me, i’d then go to work and type two keys to the right. This cycle continued for a while but i’ve almost got used to it now. The glowing isn’t really that impressive, you can choose between red/blue or some combination like purple, but it only really looks impressive if you look at it at a 90 degree angle, ie. Directly above the keyboard looking down.

The keyboard works really well is easy to set up but takes a bit of time to get used to, because of the gaming keys to the left of keyboard i kept hitting them instead of shift etc i have now got used to positioning and love the ease of use.

Used at work in low light environment where the backlit keyboard makes typing much easier. The fact that you can set up 3 different colours of lighting and easily swap between them is a real boon too (separate ones for different lighting conditions). The really annoying problem is that i cannot get the keyboard volume control to worki used an old logitech web-savy keyboard prior to this (non-backlit) and its volume control worked perfectly for years without trouble and still functions to this day.

I haven’t really used many of the features on this, the extra sound card is good, allows you to have voice in your headset and game sound out of the speakers. Macro keys seem to work well. Only allows you to choose from 3 colours though, blue, red and something else. Doesn’t have the full colour choice of other keyboards.

Nice keyboard for the price point.

I am totally over the moon with this keyboard, after spending years and years buying cheap crap i finally decided to get spend some cash and get a decent keyboard and i will never look back. I use mine for work (i’m a programmer), i use it for all my online stuff (social networks etc) and for playing warcraft and it does it all superbly, the keys feel good, there is a solid but not too loud click from each key, the back lighting of the letters is perfect, i like the volume controller, the windows switch key, the usb port and headphone ports on the back, the media keys are also handy. The keys even feel nice to the touch, especially after a few weeks use. Only one thing that’s not positive to mention:the space bar rattled, not serious but a bit irritating, here’s how i fixed it. I took the bar off (carefully, lots of breakable plastic clips under there) and used a silicone based grease to lubricate and dampen the bar slider, since then perfect. I absolutely would buy another if needed.

I was surprised to see just how compact this keyboard was, took me a while to get used to it because i was used to a large keyboard but after a few days its a cracker. Keys are comfortable to use, very responsive, lots of macros on, can change the colour of the backlight red, purple, blue. And its very bright and clear. I game a lot at night on old republic and have mood lighting on and the keys are easy to see and comfortable to look at. The arm rest is poor hard plastic so i didn’t use it. Altogether a cracking keyboard, very pleased with the purchase. Can change all the setting with the cd included, if your a gamer you will not be disappointed.

Brilliant sevice from amazon as usual-next day delivery well packaged etc. Gamer etc, and the most important details for me in a gaming keyboard is the ability to program macros/scripts, plenty of keys to program, that can be set up and changed quickly and easily etc for different games. A minimum of `ghosting` on keys and fast key response. Although the g110 is not a mechanical keyboard, this fits the bill perfectly as a gaming keyboard etc. No ghosting, at least 36 macro/script keys available. I used to use a logitech g15 version 1 keyboard (15 extra buttons)but was damaged by coffee lol. I replaced it with a microsoft x6 – big mistake, programming takes forever using the m/soft software and a real pain when u want to switch games or chars etc. After 3 months persevering, finally decided enough was enough. I then purchased a merc/stealth gaming keyboard this was a bigger mistake than the m/soft x6, what a veritable pain to program etc you would set it up for a char on world on warcraft etc.

Lots of functionality with programmable keys and adjustable light-up keys. Slightly noisy key action but i quite like that and it has a great feel to it. I use this for all sorts of activities from gaming to lots of work writing document etc and it breezes through all tasks.

I am very pleased with this keyboard. I’ll simply list the good and the bad so you can easily see:pros:- good quality keys (plastic feels durable)- typing sound (i know this was a factor for me) is satisfying- macro keys work as required, are positioned well and the 3 modes are easily switched between. The ‘macro record button’ also makes it easy to create a macro on the fly which i found useful. – software that comes with the keyboard is intuitive and makes it easy to manage the macros that are assigned to each key, and which modes contain which macros. – volume control is useful- the slider to disable the windows key is useful when gaming and gives a satisfying clunk when turning it on/off, you definitely know whether you have switched it. Cons:-due to the addition of the macro keys, the main bulk of the keys have been shrunk from what they would be normally be very slightly and this can throw you off your typing a little bit. I havn’t really noticed much of a difference but a couple have friends had some problems when first using the keyboard. I’d say it’s not too much of a problem once you get used to it. – backlighting could be a little brighter, as the brightness only reaches its full potential when you are looking from directly above the keys. It is still bright enough that you can easily notice that the keys are lit, even in a brightly lit room but i still sometimes find myself thinking ‘it looks like it could just be a little brighter.

Product arrived one day early. Felt like a kid again when i got the ‘wow look at this’ factor while unpacking the stuff. Absolutley pleased with the logitech keyboard but then again i’m alway’s pleased with logitech product’s. You can alway’s guarantee quality in their stuff. That been said let’s get onto the finer detail’s. Rating’s: 5 star’s isn’t enough for this keyboard as it states in the headline that it’s a gaming keyboard onlylike’s: totally suprised when i saw that you can hook up you’re headphone’s and mouse to the keyboard. Guess i didn’t read that in the product detail’s when purchasing it. Nice feature when assigning a colour code to each set of macro’s to illuminate the keyboard. Loving the extra key’s at the side of the keyboard to assign more macro’s which is espically ideal for flight simulator’s which is why i bought it. To quote will ferrell ‘so much room for activities, it’s making my head spin’.

Bought this keyboard to replace the (starter) keyboard that came with my pc and it has been amazing. The customisable key colours are a nice feature and having 12 macro keys is astonishing. With the buttons on the keyboard, you can tell it was build with avid desktop users in mind. A good buy and well worth the money. Would buy this over razer and alienware.

A shame its been discontinued. Not sure i would buy again, as it doesn’t have great anti-ghosting (pressing multiple keys at once) and it does get on my nerves. But overall a great keyboard, for gaming or general use.

If you refer to older reviews you will see the general consensus. The only real criticism i have about this board is that the keys feel slightly rigid, it may ‘loosen up’ after a week or two but at the moment it has a somewhat cheap feeling which does make the overall quality of this equipment lower. With that being said, this keyboard has almost everything you would want from a gaming keyboard, anything else such as the display on the g150 is something i would call too much money. For what this is worth, you’re not getting ripped off from this fine company, i can assure your £50 that. Ps to any hardcore gamers out there, try finding a mech keyboard if you find rigid keys being a major problem.

Good:- keys are sturdy enough in an old fashioned way- windows key can be switched off- function keys in a traditional grouped-by-four configuration- keys are back-litbad:- multimedia keys don’t work (proprietary software installed)- g keys are utterly useless, the keyboard would be much etter without them and with keys of standard width- keys are not back-lit enough- even with raisers up the keyboard is still flat on the table.

The keyboard is great, the lights illuminate nicely although not amazingly bright, red is a lot clearer than blue thanks to the eyes view on the spectrum. Keys have a silky feel unlike any normal grade keyboards. Macro keys on the side work fine with the software. New users to side buttons may find at first pressing shift etc. You find yourself pressing the macros by accident but you get used to it like all things. Volume roll cylinder feels nice and media keys all work. Usb socket doesnt have enough power to run my 16gb memory stick but maybe for smaller ones it would be ok i have not tested. Only qualm is the drivers don’t always load perfectly resulting in the keys not lighting and any special keys also dead, unplugging the usb and reinserting only fix, even restarting doesn’t help. Only happened 3-4 times over a year though.

Good solid keyboard for the price. I havn’t yet explored all its functionality but after a couple of months use its still working fine. Recognised by windows 7, 64 bit with no problems. The letters are lighted and easily visible in both low light and bright conditions.

Firstly, i like this keyboard. I recently bought it as a replacement for my old microsoft sidewinder x6 (which i’d by again if it were still in production and had blue led’s) and first impressions are great, the pictures on here don’t really do it justice however, it looks much smarter in real life. It feels comfortable to type with but may require some getting used to or a wrist rest for long periods of use. Also a point to note is how quiet the keystrokes are and the g-series key profiler software is really good to use. The only downside i can see thus far is that the back lighting is pretty dim during the day (i didn’t even know it was on) but at night with quite bright lamp light you do notice it. Secondly the cable runners underneath the keyboard designed to house wires running from the usb port don’t have a clasp or anything to hold wires in, the wire just sits there and if the keyboard is lifted up they fall out which is a little annoying but not a broken feature really. Aside the two minor points (and they are very minor indeed) this is an excellent keyboard (if you have a sidewinder and need to replace it, you’ll not be disappointed with it). To summarise then:good points- good looking keyboard- comfortable- quiet- value for money- enough keys for additional functions and macros- blue or red back lightsbad points- not very bright lighting- cable tidy is a bit naff(games keyboard used for are world of warcraft and command and conquer red alert 3 mostly (plus others older than these)).

Bought this after much deliberation over what to replace my saitek eclipse 2 with. * i didn’t wan’t a moulded wrist rest (ala sidewinder)* i wanted backlit keys for easier use at nightmy first impressions were not good, like other reviewers have pointed out the keys are small. For a gaming keyboard i find this strange, like some awful assumption was made that gamers all have small hands. Strikingly underwhelmed by those just because my eclipse 2 was so much brighter and actually lit up the spaces between keys instead of just the letters on them like this one does. Pro’s—–* it doesn’t have a moulded wrist rest* the volume ‘wheel’ is great* the keyboard lock function is very useful (stops accidental tabbing to desktop in middle of game)* with the bundled software you can make the keys light up any colour you wantcon’s—–* keys are too small* macro keys are poorly placed on the left side far too close to the shift key* back lighting is dimthe indifferent—————* it has 12 macro keys and 3 bank buttons giving a total possible 36 macros – this is not important to me as i already have more than enough keybinds and macro buttons on my naga mouse* it has headphone and mic sockets plus 1 usb socket – again i will never use thesei would say that if you don’t mind small keys, macro buttons right next to wear you bump the left shift key with your lower hand, and the dimly lit backlit keys, then you might find this item useful. For the money though i would say there are probably better options.

I didnt want the screen as i have a g13 gameboard with a screen so saved abit of money. Keys are nice and fast to type on. Nice backlight although only goes red/blue/purple and inbetweens. Good basic media buttons such as volume mute etc and play/pause. I used the g keys for diablo 3 and also had the custom profile changed keys to red to suit the game. The mic and heaset cables are poor and offer bad qualitey sound. The keyboard is solid and weighty and i hope will last years to come. Also the software included is good would be better integrated with the mouse software though.

It’s been a couple (5/6) years since i’ve bought this product. This is hands down one of the best keyboards i have ever bought. Still works without problems today.

G110 is very good classic keyboard with 12 extra macros , usb/head phones /mic connection on the front and media controller on top of the numpad. Build quality is quite good and they keys are as fast as in mechanical keyboards. The keyboard dose the job in the description and is very good. For lower price or the same, we can have gigabit gaming keyboard and madcatz , i would strongly avoid any microsoft product ,they look good but they intend to break easily(i had x6 and it broke after a year ).

Bought one of these for myself and one for a friend, definitely the best keyboard and at an amazing price. The mechanical keyboard’s key feel great and the backlight illuminates the keys great at night. The software it comes with allows you to customise the colour of the backlight and programme the macro keys on the left. The usb and audio inputs are really useful if you don’t want to plug things into your computer or your headphone wire isn’t long enough to do so. After using it for a year i’ve had no problems what so ever. The media shortcut keys at the top right are a great function to have and it’s so easy to change the volume and mute my computer now, definitely recommend this keyboard.

Here we go again, another success story. An expensive keyboard, the most expensive one i ever bought, but i am so glad i did. Still getting used to the extra keys being on the keyboard. They can at first take some getting used to as it is natural to move ones pinky over to the extreme left to press away on what would have been the shift or ctrl keys and so on. They are still there, just they feel closer and it’s a little off-putting at first. Setting the keys up and colours from the key profiler is a doddle, very clear instructions. The wrist rest i find just right and have had less problems with the bones in the top of my hand as a result, however i do have a bone disease so this may not be an issue for most people anyway. The gaming part of the keyboard is not fantastically innovative, but it works well. It is a little longer than a standard keyboard but as you can see from the photos, not overly long. It is certainly quieter to type on than my last keyboard.

This is a fantastic keyboard, i previously used a cheap mechanical keyboard and the sound of the keys did my ears in so it’s nice to have a keyboard that is not as loud when you type, having the keys light up is a very lovely addition especially when you can customise the colour you want (as long as it’s in the pink, red, purple or blue range), the keys are slightly smaller than i am used to but i like this as i have small hands though it will take some getting used to. I have yet to make use of the extra keybinds but it’s nice to have the option in case i do need them. Over all very very happy with this keyboard and glad i bought it.

The keyboard is brilliant for everyday use and gaming – the macro keys and headphone/microphone sockets are also very useful. The media keys are an excellent feature, and i would recommend purchasing a keyboard that has them. The only fault i can find with the keyboard is that the backlit keys are not very bright, and only support colours between blue and red. The keys are also slightly smaller than standard – i got used to them in a matter of days, however it does make typing on other keyboards a little slower. I use the keyboard in conjunction with a logitech mx518 mouse.

I’ve had this keyboard for about a year now (i think) it still works perfectly and looks great. I rarely make macros or use the gkeys but that’s because they’re not needed. I did try them out to see how they were and they’re really easy to set up. The keys feel amazing to the touch. I’m an avid gamer and none of the keys have started to wear. Looks like a brand new keyboard still (if it wasn’t dirty, but that’s me being lazy)the volume button and media keys are really handy.

Replace an aging ms sidewinder with this. Great to program with plenty of use definable keys etc.

This is a good quality robust gaming keyboard with a nice solid feel to the keys. I like the back lit keys and the ability to control headphone levels from the dedicated controls. Lots of extra programmable function keys as well.

This is a fantastic keyboard. I upgraded my pc recently and wanted an affordable, good quality gaming keyboard. I’d seen the g110 the first time of looking online for a keyboard and liked the look of it. I read the reviews and compared it with mircosoft’s sidewinder x4 and the razer lycosa. I discounted the razer because of a lot of negative reviews about the build quality. The sidewinder i discounted after seeing it instore. The finish was like hard plastic. Although i hadn’t seen the g110 for real, i went with the majority of reviews and my gut instinct.
