Canon Macro lens : yes second hand but is good believe me

Fits easy onto my canon 1300d camera. Once you get use to being a real close up lens it take fabulous photos. Picture shown is of a rose from my garden.

What can i say about this macro lens other than buy one nowthis fantastic little lens has opened up a whole new world of macro photography that i thought was out of my price range, the image clarity is excellent and i have nothing but positive things to say. The lens arrived promptly, well packaged with all the relevant instructions, i fitted it to my canon 500d and i was off and running. The zoom is absolutely great and it enables you to get in super close to the subject, the auto focus is sharp and snappy but most of all it’s really easy to use and the results are awesome. So if you’re looking for an affordable macro lens that packs a punch look no further.

It is ok but the motor is slow and noisy and my view is that a macro tube would be a more sensible buy. If you do want to get into macro shooting then the reality is that you will very soon want something much better than this. I’m using this one only in situations where i don’t want to worry about risk to the lens.

I have started using my new macro lens. And i am very happy with it i find it easy to use good value for money and at a cost i can afford.

This lens arrived in very good time and was packaged really well, i have had the opportunity to try it out and hope to improve on my photos with practice. Laurel has been a great help with info supplied and the fact that any problems can be raised and help can be given.

Superb piece of equipement and a great company to deal with. It far ouperforms a similar lens that was 4 times the price.

A better result than any combination of my supplementaries or extension tubes, but, focusing is a bit strange, and i would strongly recommend use of a traveling macro stage for focus. You do need to read the accompanying instruction leaflet carefully. Not the easiest accessory to use, but certainly, in my opinion, cost-effective. The base lens can be obtained elsewhere for about £20, but, the modifications are not really straightforward – this ‘ready-to-go’ solution saves a lot of woe, and the merchant’s communication is good.

Bought off ebay from this seller. Ordered on friday and received on sunday. Being a bloke i didn’t bother with the instruction sheet that came with the lens, attached it to my camera (canon 1200d), set it to auto (i am a total beginner) and started intimidating the flowers (and everything else) outside in the garden. The results speak for themselves, you can see the the individual pixels on a pic i took of a robot logo on my laptop screen. It is not a point and shoot type of lens and it does take a bit of fiddling with the distance from the subject to get the auto-focus to work (at least i did, beginner?) it is an extreme close up lens after all. Can’t wait to try the super close setting. I emailed a few pics to laurel and mentioned that i am a beginner, pretty soon i had an explanation on basic camera setup that i could understand, and that on a sunday eveningreally pleased with the lens and especially impressed with the after sales service, these guys have a customer for life.

A fantastic lens at a fabulous price, please don’t be put off because it is refurbished, it is amazing. I am a total novice to macro photography so didn’t want to spend a fortune and this lens far exceeds my expectations and my capabilities. I was unsure wether to purchase initially but showed the product detail write up to my photographer friend (over 30 yrs experience) & he said to snap it up so i purchased straight away. If a novice like me, then please read up on macro photography, maybe purchase a book (plenty on amazon), use a tripod and make sure you have plenty of light, as leigh told me (the supplier) use a torch pointed sideways as you don’t always need the expensive equipment and it lights up your subject brilliantly. I have high expectations from this lens as my skills in macro photography develop, be warned it’s addictive. I have uploaded a couple of flowers and a spider that was just 4mm long and the detail is fab i just need to get better at getting my images sharper, that is me not the lens. Brilliant, excellent lens, don’t hesitate & purchase now, why pay morehappy macro photography .

I am impressed with this cheaper alternative to macro photography. The image is sharp and clear. I have used a 2x magnifier in the past and also tried extension tubes but at the cost of too much light reduction, this lens however gives a true macro image at such an affordable price. I am also impressed with what has been packed with it – the little extras such as two lens cloths, a uv filter and even the paper clip to use on part of the lens to lift up a cover if you want to adapt it to a different magnification. These little extra bits may cost next to nothing but it clearly shows attention to detail for a happy customer. When i have spent a fair amount of money on a camera brand new from the shop i have also had to separately purchase the standard uv filter so its nice to see that this lens came with it. I have only tried it out on household items at the moment as i have run out of daylight time but so far i am more than happy. It also arrived in very good time, it was delivered the day after i placed the order and was not expecting it until much later. Life time support is also offered on the lens by phone and an e-mail. Just uploaded photos of leaves from a mint plant at the lower magnification setting – this is my first succesful attempt at macro photography.

Item arrived very well packaged. Very good comms from the seller including instructions and video links. Have yet to try the lens for taking pictures, will update my review once i have.

Happy with results achieved so far.

It is comparable to a lens that costs more than 5x the price. I purchased this lens to take photos of products and insects and so far it has not let me know. The seller is friendly and very helpful and alway at the over end of an email to assist customers. The seller even provides a good user guide with very helpful tips and tricks. I plan to use keep this lens with me at all times in my camera bag. I cannot rate this product or seller highly enough.

I bought the lens after reading the reviews posted on amazon. I found the instructions that came with my lens helpful and the lens works great i’ve taken lots of pictures all of which are crisp,clear and full of detail i found the lens easy to use in auto and manual focus the bezel rotation is smooth and the lens is light and compact and easily fits in a pocket i’m very happy with my purchase and can recommend the seller.

This is a highly detailed lens for a cheap price, you can get results from this lens that you would normally have to spend around £1000 , if your looking to start macro photography try this lens out you won’t be sorry, seller gives you good instructions on changing the magnification of the lens, you can get very close up high quality detail.

I’ve been in to photography for over 20 years and this is my new favourite lens. It’s light, flexible, easy to use and gives amazing results. It arrived within 2 days of ordering it, and since i first used it it’s been in my camera bag and has never left it. The zoom works really well allowing different magnifications without changing position and the sizing allows all but the largest flowers to be fully in the shot. The autofocus is fast and accurate – i’ve snapped a bee on the wing about to land on honeysuckle, and the maximum magnification is out of this world (more of a scientific instrument than a consumer lens). I’ve been totally blown away by the performance, and i’ve since had some prints transferred to canvas. Most visitors stop to look and comment on the pictures. I blush with pride when i say i took themone word of caution, wondering around stooped looking at the ground and poking around in every single hedgerow and nook and cranny is great fun, but it’s not good for the back. That’s the only negative thing i can think to saythe seller is helpful, friendly and delivers quickly. Exactly as described, and absolutely delighted.

The accompanying shot was taken with this lens on a canon 760d dslr and was only the 4th photo i took with the lens the day i received it. It was taken at 1/200 sec at f 7. 1 iso 100 with just on camera flash. If you zoom into the stamen you can even see the remains of the pollen after a bee had visited the flower. The service from canonmacrolens is exemplary. Within just a few hours of placing my order i received an email from the company thanking me for my order and providing some extremely useful information. The order arrived on time and the lens was well protected. The information sheet in the box was in plain english (and not thankfully a translation from chinese which is far too often these days). Full instructions and advice was provided on the sheet.

I’m quite new to macro phtography, and wasn’t quite sure what to expect, i can’t afford a top of the range lens, and came across this, and i’m not sorry, i struggled at first, my images were soft and blurry, and then i read the instructions, not glanced i mean read, i tried on f22 or f16 as stated, and wow what a difference, so go on , go for it, it will only get better , i can’t wait to get out there with it, very excited, and we’ll worth the price , customer service is outstanding also go on go for it, you won’t be disappointed .

I bought this lens for taking photos of teeth. I am not an experienced photographer. With the lens came instructions and contact details for the vendor should there be a problem. I could not get any decent shots. I have had fantastic support from laurel who regularly emailed me and was instrumental in teaching me how to get great pictures.

As described and the customer service was really wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and as a non techy person, i was not made to feel silly for all the questions i asked. I would highly recommend buying through this source and it saved a fortune by buying an upgraded lens which worked just as well.

Excellent service from supplier. I’m new to macro photography but they provide all the instructions and advice you’re likely to need. Quality is what you’d expect from canon products. You need a bit of practice to get the best from this lens so persevere and have a good play. You will need good lighting for macro subjects, daylight or close lighting.

Being new to photography i was a little unsure what i needed, as such i trawled through the various options and saw the canon macro lens. I emailed the seller asking for a little advice and was delighted by the promptness of the response and the help therein, even on a sundaythe lens arrived a couple of days ago and i am impressed by the quality of the product, the relative ease of use and the results which even for a ‘duffer’ like me are impressive. Enclosed was a comprehensive list of instructions, well written and very easy to follow and the promise of lifetime support. Never had a macro lens before and was not going to fork out €800, i was vary happy when this little baby arrived and start messing with it straight away. I’m in a local photo club and will be showing a few of the members this lens and would have to problem recommending. I’m still shocked at the clarity of the picture and will upload one or two. I was using this on my canon 70d the auto focus is a little slow but still gets the job done and there is no problem with the manual focus.

Post sales support was not needed but the post sales email from the seller was a nice touch. The photos attached tell the story. The flowers were taken by my wife in her garden. She only had a couple of minutes but will be doing more later. The red object is a 3d printed calibration model and is why i bought the lens. Absolutely perfect for my use case.

Was a little hesitant on buying this lens. I love flower photography and wondered how well this lens would work. It takes a little time to get used to but the results are well worth the patience. I am only an amateur photographer therefore cannot afford to by expensive lens. Definitely recommend purchasing this one. Delivery was quick and full instructions were enclosed together with full contact details of the seller for problems and advice now or in the future.

I opted for this relatively inexpensive lens as it was my first foray into the world of macro photography. Once you read the instructions on how to use the lens, it is a case of practice makes perfect. It does take some getting use to, with regards to moving backwards and forwards in manual focus mode. As a beginner, its a very good lens, easy to use and the after-sales support is excellent. I’ve added a couple of images that demonstrates what a beginner with no experience of macro photography can do with this lens.

Well now this is some lens and i have to admit it is taking me some time to get use to it but this is me not the lens it is well made. Yes second hand but is good believe me. I like any one else need the time to work it out have had some moments with it and things turned out just great i just need more time to get it right. I think the price is right and the lens worth while.

I am a learner photographer but have always been fascinated with macro photography. The price of this lens was affordable so i decided to give it a go. I am really impressed with it’s quality, light weight and it feels very sturdy. I’ve had it for a week or so, and bearing in mind that i still have so much to learn, i was really thrilled with the results. So far i’ve only tried the lower magnification, but once i’ve mastered this, i’m really looking forward to experimenting with the more powerful one. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the product. Great lens for a really good price. It’s a few months since i wrote this review and wanted to give an update. I am delighted with the lens which produces really good, clear shots. For the price, it is excellent value for money and i can only reiterate my original review – excellent lens for a great price.

Superb value for money and excellent quality images.

Macro photography can be an expensive pastime but this lens offers a relatively cheap route. I have tried it, with my canon eos m along with the lens adaptor. I can vouch that it works perfectly for my uses. The product was as described, with clear instructions on how to use. Packaging was excellent and the product was supplied within one day of ordering.

Great piece of kit with terrific performance.

Being new to dslr cameras i am building up a collection of lenses, one area i am interested in is macro photography unfortunately t5hese lenses are so expensive. Thankfully i found this product on amazon and at such a reasonable price i decided to order it ,the lens was with me within a couple of days and came with comprehensive instructions i also received a e_-mail with instructions and short video as how to convert the lens. I had a play with it with both conversions and found it to be just what i wanted ,my only problem was that sometimes when trying to take a picture the camera did not work, being a newbie i did not now why so i contacted canonmacrolens,explaining the problem, they promptly replied again giving me excellent advice. I won’t go on about the technicalities of the lens because i don’t know them, all i can say is it is in excellent condition and does what i want. The one thing i will say though is this is one of the best most informative companies i have dealt with and i will most certai8nly recommend them and use them again if need be.

I’m delighted with this lens. I wanted to experiment with macro photography without it costing an arm and a leg and this has proved to be an ideal solution. I took a couple of almost ‘point and shoot’ shots without much effort setting up subjects and conditions and the results were fantastic. And as for customer service from this seller – second to none .

I am comparatively new to digital photography and therefore unsure as to what additional lens etc i should purchase to augment my camera kit. I enjoy dabbling in portrait/landscape and macro photography,but could not justify spending my hard earned cash on a macro lens that i was unsure would fulfil my requirements. When i spotted this lens i thought that i could afford it and that it would be fine for me as a comparative novice,i have no regrets whatsoever having made this decision,its perfect. It was delivered on time,well packaged and with clear concise instructions how to operate it and to change magnification if required,good communications with seller,all in all highly recommended,a great introduction into macro photography,at an affordable price.
