Corsair CH-9000223-UK K40 Multi-Colour Backlit Gaming Keyboard : Great keyboard for a great price

I have had a few keyboards (none mechanical but soon, i hope)this is my favourite by far, sure, there is no wrist rest, the led’s are not rgb nor very bright. There is something so nice about the corsair keyboard design, the clash between professional and enthusiast, maybe not quite as nice as the k70 or higher but honestly?. This is a reliable and comfortable keyboard which i have used every day for over 6 months now, i would recommend a wrist rest though (still haven’t got one but save your wrists while you can)the price is great, the performance is adequate and the aesthetics are lovely and complement a well made product. If you can get it for less or around 50 i would go for it, or maybe grab a k55 if you like pretty lights.

Amazing keyboard, i really love the feedback when pressing the keys, it has a great design. I do play games on my pc but haven’t had a chance to properly use this keyboard for gaming.

Bought this specifically for the uk keyboard layout for programming and backlight helps. Membrane instead of mechanical, so it’s quieter.

The best parts of this keyboard is all metal frame and the very durable keys which don’t peel away and make the characters un-readable.

Easy to set up just plug in and off it went, my sin was a very happy boy in christmas day . Fast delivery, no complaints.

Been using since july 2016, working on windows 10. It’s aesthetically pleasing, i’d say that the black and silver look would go with any setup. The color reproduction is amazing however at the angle you perceive the keyboard the back lights seem dull. Chunky keys with a nice action. Media keys are a nice addition. Solid build quality as with most of corsair’s products. There are too many macro keys for me (that’s probably a good thing), i think i have managed to find uses for 3 out of 18.

Programming keys need a little bit of thought ,once mastered it’s simple.

The corsair k40 is a real solid rubber dome keyboard the egg lighting is great it has 6 macro keys which can easily be changed through the software the windows lock helped when gaming as it stops yo from tabbing out. Overall really sturdy keyboard would recommend to friends.

Good keyboard, wanted something for gaming but not metal or too heavy, this fits the bill, it goes with my corsair mouse, its a good size and its comfortable to use, the key presses are precise, only 2 small issues, one is bits fall under keys and the light is a little bit too light would have liked it a bit stronger/brighter.

Its a nice keyboard but i found the keys to high and awkward position.

That mechanical typing feeling is just amazing and the programmable led’s make it suit and match anyone’s build.

I like the feel of the keyboard however the macros are annoying as they fail to work from time to time.

Love it, been using it a while now. Almost mechanical feel but not so damn noisy that you keep everyone in the house awake. Not used the macro’s much yet.

Solid, satisfying, not too loud, everything you need really.

The quality wasn’t bad but to be honest not very good it’s just okey. I received it and found the spacebar and g6 (optional button) sticky so i did not return it just took the buttons out and adjusted the position of the buttons and worked fine. I have windows 10 os and downloaded the software. It worked without any problem and really loved the backlight colors looked bright amazing.

Did my research on this but the research didn’t find anything about it being one colour across all keys. Thought i would be able to change certain keys to different colours. Still, definately lights up bright so i don’t need a flood light when i’m working through the night. Still adapting to the macro keys being on the left of the keyboard, maybe better if they’d been across the top but they work.

Great keyboard for a great price. I’ve been using it for a month now and it feels better than my old keyboard and responds well even when playing games like arma 3 with lots of keys to press. The lights can look a little dim if the room is well lit but i often play in lower light levels and they are just right then.

Corsair CH-9000223-UK K40 Multi-Colour Backlit Gaming Keyboard, Black :

Great bit of kit, very pleased with the keyboard.

I wanted a full rgb one where you could change the colours of individual keys but couldn’t justify the daft price of them. This is full rgb but you have to keep the keys the same colour. I use it for work (writing) and gaming and i like the response from the keys. It is an ‘open’ style which i find means under the keys are easy to clean with a can of compressed air as you can remove the grimness that bit easier. I’ve always liked corsair stuff and this does nothing to change that.

Nice keyboard, i’ll have to get used to using it though.

Finally decided to treat myself to a quality gaming keyboard and chose this because, well, corsair. Plus, the wasd / arrow keys were differentiated. Very happy with the purchase. The back lighting is perfectly bright enough for me, tho i notice a few reviews said it wasn’t very bright (certainly brighter than my last no name gaming keyboard (£12 from this very site). It’s not got the clickety click brand name keys, but these are firm and have great travel – they feel durable. All previous keyboards were cheap and cheerful (most expensive was a ms combo for about £30), so i’m in seventh heaven with this baby. Slight negative, the left hand set of keys (programmable) is pretty superfluous to my needs, wish there’d been an option without them, but i’m slowly getting used to shift, esc etc being one key in, and they wouldn’t stop me from buying the same again.

Great keyboard easy set up, good bright lit keys what a bargain at 30 ish pounds would have bought it for full price well recommended +good quick free delivery.

Good keyboard except it lacks any form of wrist support, so long term gamers could end up with wrist problems. Myself i adapted a wrist rest pad to cover that problem – shouldn’t have needed to.

Macro keys are easily programmable. It feels like a mechanical keyboard but without the ‘clicking’ of the the keys. Massive amounts of customisation options in the corsair software.

Looks great and nice to use – nice colours.

After a year of use i’m starting to see some wear and tear and some keys are getting stuck which is annoying. If you are a heavy user like me this key board gets dirty very quickly and is slightly hard to maintain, but for the price a whole year with no problems what so ever it is an amazing keyboard to use for gaming i highly recommend it.
