Cooler Master MasterKeys Pro L RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard ‘Full Size – RGB effects are awesome, You can program it to work without software

Great quality keyboard with very nice switches and keycaps. I like the simplistic design, and the rgb capabilities are pretty decent, especially if you download the cooler master software. Unfortunately, if you select the ‘breathing’ rgb option, the keyboard fails to maintain a consistent colour when fading in/out. This minor failing is why i’m giving this a 4 star rating. But honestly, if you can find this keyboard for a decent price like i did, i’d definitely recommend it.
This keyboard is an absolute gamers dream. So comfortable and slick to type on, and the keys are positioned smartly, the right size, and overall it just feels amazing. It is not as ‘flashy’ as the corsair strafe one for example (i also had this), but it is far easier to use and designed much better.
This keyboard is actually my first mechanical, & i didn’t want to cheap out so i knew i had to pay more than you’re average consumer would consider acceptable. First off, the build quality is a lot better than i expected. Not a single rattle from any keys aside from the space bar, but even that isn’t bad by any means. I prefer the subtle design of cooler master over a more aggressive style from others like logitech & corsair. The keys have a nice font & they feel nice & chunky plus a key cap pulled is included. They’re pretty smooth keys though which is my only gripe. The rgb backlighting works fine, but the light doesn’t shine through the entire key along the number row, only the top part, this being because each key only has 1 led at the top end of the switch. You can control the entire array using just the keyboard, no software required which is great. Macros are available too but i haven’t expermented with any of that. The keyboard feels solid & sturdy with rubber-tipped kickstands & small cable channels running underneath for different cable management options.
This is my first mechanical keyboard, and i have to say it is worth every penny. The first thing i noticed is the build quality and how heavy it feels. It is far supperior than any membrane keyboard. The cherry mx brown switches are great and feel very nice, not too loud. It is comfortable to type and the design is simplistic and thats why i like it rather than a gamery type mechanical keyboard. The colours are very nice and bright enough. Also, the software is easy to use and there a lot of customizable settings, especially the one i like is the equlizer that reacts to music you listen. My pc recognized the keyboard the second i plugged it in and didn’t have any issues. Overall i am very pleased of this product and i think it’s a great keyboard to upgrade to.
Really solid build quality, with a classy minimalist design that makes other ‘professional’ gaming keyboards *cough* corsair ch-9127014-uk k95 platinum rgb rapid fire cherry mx speed multi-colour backlit mechanical gaming keyboard – black *cough* look like they were designed for children. The rgb is really impressive, with the white plate really helping to make the colours stand out. The profile keys are also really handy for quickly switching between lighting effects. Despite what the pictures show, this is the iso uk layout. The uk version is only available with cherry mx brown (tactile bump when you press the key, but no click) switches at the moment but for me, these are ideal for both gaming and typing. My previous gaming keyboard had red (no bump, ‘smooth’ as you press down) switches, but i’ve found that browns are more satisfying and that i haven’t accidentally pressed keys, something that would happen before (maybe i’m just bad at games. They keyboard i use for work has mx clear (like browns, but more force needed to press) switches, and whilst that will always be my favourite for typing on for long periods of time, the browns feel really nice.
My first mechanical keyboard, as well as my first rgb keyboard, and i’m glad that i chose this one. I love the fact that any key can be a macro and that macros are super easy to create, just check the included guide and it tells you. The software that you can download took a while to find, but once i did i was amazed at what i could do. It has 4 profiles that you can create, and switch between by one of the p keys up in the top right of the board. If you’re looking for a high quality mechanical rgb keyboard, this is for you.
- Probably a 4.5 star keyboard.

Prosaesthetics – minimalistic, simple and colours are amazingperformance – great feel and response rate from the cherry mx brown switchessoftware/firmware – has it’s own rgb config setting that can be adjusted without installing the software which is great. Installed software and is easy to use and can set up to 4 profiles – mapping them to the four keys above the numberpad. Has a load of difference options and styles for the rgb. Practicality – has groove on the back of keyboard to direct braided cable to left, right or center. Secure but easily removable keycaps with the provided pluck if you ever get crumbs or dust inside. Consprice – this is an expensive keyboard but it most definitely is premium – £155 (current price at time of this review). Luckily i bought this during black friday sales at £90. Verdicti love this keyboard and would recommend but at £155 makes you carefully reconsider other options before buying. I’d advise to wait for sales promotion or price to go down.
Great quality keyboard and a very resonable price too. I’m really enjoying it and i’d definitely buy another again.
From the moment it landed on my desk i’ve been clacking away on it and i’m very impressed. It feels awesome to type on and all the keys register my presses perfectly – way more sensitive than my rubber dome keyboard. The case is very solid and has a nice weighty feeling to it, and the usb cable is removable with 3 potential guide-channels (left, right and rear) for good desk placement. Lighting-wise there are a ton of options, and it can be manipulated via software or using the function keys on the keyboard (very shallow learning curve too). My only gripe is that the scroll, caps and num lock keys do not illuminate when they are not on, meaning scroll and caps are off almost all the time. Hopefully this will be addressed in a future update to the software. As opposed to other reviewers, i have not had any issues with dead keys so presumably the issue is now resolved.
The led novelty wore off within a few days because i only use my pc in light environments. But the keyboard is solid with a premium build quality.
My brother loves it, rgb effects are awesome, you can program it to work without software on pc. Excellent feeling of buttons. Quite loud as all mechanics.

Brilliant keyboard to go with my amazing mousei wish it had included a wrist lean or something along those lines. Other than that, perfect keyboard.
Overall this is a very good keyboard and i’m happy now i finally have one that works as it should. The prosthe bezel is small, there is no superfluous space on the case, and this keeps the dimensions small for a full size keyboard. It feels solidly built and the plastic isn’t flimsy. The switches (cherry mx brown) are good and while the keycaps aren’t perfect they’re good enough. The rgb leds are bright and the colours really shine through, in no small part thanks to the white backplate. The software to set up your colour profiles is relatively easy and straightforward to use. Having a removable cable is nice, and the cable routing for centre, left or right alignment is handy. The consmy first masterkeys pro l (technically my second as the first one i ordered amazon logistics lost en route) had a faulty switch under the ‘w’ key. With seeing reports of others having similar issues, especially with lshift i have concerns over the quality control of the first batch of boards. I do feel like the four profile keys could have pulled dual purpose, perhaps for custom keybinds/program launchers with the profiles on the fn layer.
Nice keyboard to use and plug and play on windows 10.
Seems good so far, the led’s are vibrant, the keys have a nice feel and are satisfying.
The keyboard seems to be sturdy, with detachable cable. I have always used laptop keyboards so it took time to get used to this one. It is a really good keyboard, but beware, the application where you can control the rgb is an absolute 0. Better to use aurora or some other third party software. One star removed for the software.
I’m drooling on this keyboard. I love using this keyboard simply amazing no fatigue when using it for longer period.
Mechanical

I’ve been using a membrane keyboard for over two years, and i’m so glad i upgraded to this. This is an absolute steal of a keyboard for only £72, and the cherry mx brown switches feel amazing. Ps: this keyboard uses its leds to indicated stuff like caps lock and num lock, which i didn’t realise before buying this.
This keyboard is a pleasure to type on and feels built to last. Looked at quite a few mechanical keyboards and glad i chose the masterkeys.
Great keyboardsolid, not too big but not too small, great rgb modes. Best keyboard i’ve ever had.
Beautiful keyboard – i’m impressed.
I got one of these to replace my beat up old tesoro g1n. I have to say i’m so far loving this keyboardso far i’ve found the lighting to be very accurate with its colour reproduction and brightness. The white backing plate makes them more vibrant and also helps the keys blend when using multi-colour effects. Also, the fact it has cherry switches in it means that the reliability should be top-notch. And with my old keyboard, that proved to be highly accurate as it withstood 2 years of heavy use and abuse and works fine despite a few run-ins with hot teapros:cherrymx key switches (mine shipped with browns)backlit keysmatte finish all roundremovable cablesolid constructionbraided cablecomes with a key puller. Cleaning just got a whole lot easierconsthe matte finish can attract fingerprints. I would prefer mini-usb to make it more robustthe cable wasn’t quite long enough to reach the back of my pc. It just makes it but it doesn’t give me much leeway to move the keyboard on the deskand that’s about all i could come up with. It’s been working perfectly since i got it and i’ve been tinkering with the lighting profiles a lot.
Good value for a full mechanical keyboard and only one key even slightly faulty (to my knowledge), which is impressive. The keys are of a high quality and don’t seem to have deteriorated at all in half a year. Marks against it include mediocre documentation and software, and an issue where the backlight will come on and stay on when the computer is asleep if you press any key. The backlight is quite blue and isn’t that bright, but is perfectly adequate for typing in the dark.
Full Size

This doesn’t quite get 5 full stars because of a few tiny design choices i’m not keen on, but this is a great keyboard. I wanted a work keyboard with mechanical action, blacklighting and importantly, no software to install so i could use it on work machines. This keyboard comes beautifully packaged and takes seconds to set up. It has a standard usb cable which means you can replace it with a 3m one if you felt like it. The lighting goes from super bright to off in nice increments. Key action is great, loudish but not so you’d get annoyed with it (or annoy others). The one thing i don’t like is the amount of light leak out of the keys onto the backing. It’s no deal breaker, but i’d have preferred them to be better isolated. All in all i was pleasantly surprised and impressed.
