CAMKIX Lens Kit compatible – Solid quality, for specified use only

I was a little unsure about this kit at first. I have a full size dlsr with a large selection of glass so at this price i had some doubts a kit could do justice to the s8 plus superb camera. Everything comes in a sturdy and very well labeled box. Camkix certainly dont fall short when it comes to supplying cloths and pouches. The lenses are all labeled so easy to see which is which. You have to fit a special case to your phone. One for s8 and one for s8 plus. This was one bit i was not so keen on. My case is a titanium edged case held on by screws so it was a fiddle to remove. But thats not the fault of camkix. That aside it is easy enough to fit the camkix case and attach which ever lens you require. The quality of the pictures you get are about what you can expect from a kit at this price range. Yes you can pick fault with sharpness / lens distortion around the edges but i was actually surprised in a positive way and would not really complain.

Well made, secure fit and compact in size. Transforms the picture into a professional look.

From first impressions, the kit is decent and pretty well priced. Am looking forward to using it on my next holidayam nitpicking with the couple of issues i’ve personally encountered during my short experience with the kit:1. The supplied cover, although not ‘bulky’ it does cause a slight obstruction to the fingerprint sensor and as a result, unlocking the phone with your finger is hit and miss2. As with another reviewer, i have also noticed that the wide angle lense suffers from slight blurring on the edges. Although it isn’t horrific, it is noticeable.

Took it on a holiday to peru, and used the lenses quite a bit.

The telephoto lens is really not up to much. It is not much better than the galaxy s8’s own zoom function, the quality blurry and grainy as much as i try tinker with it. Not worth the hassle of setting up imo. The fish eye is interesting in itself but that is about it i am afraid.

Item shipped fast,quality is more than pleasing there is little fault with fisheye lence thread (attached photo) so i guess there can be little inconsistency as in any ptoduction. Does job which is meant for easy and good, though might be just a bit too open for those who think to use it as protection case too.

Great lens kit, i leave the backing on the phone. And simply, pull out the phone. Screw the lens on in seconds then your ready to snap away. The lens is easy to adjust and focus, and gives fantastic images.

I bring it with me all the time. It’s very convenient and comes in handy all the time, even as a simple tripod.

I used this product for my sansung galaxy s8 and it is very useful.

Partner liked this but hasn’t really used it as it will come into play in the summer but is a bit of a faff.

Got it as a present for my brother, he was really happy with it and the pictures he took were amazing.

Very good does the job nicely very impressed.

This equipment is easy to use, very effective and great value for money. Shipped quickly and arrived exactly when they said it would.

It fits my s8 perfectly and the picture quality is good. The only issue i have is that the macro and wide angle lens screw threads won’t allow me to put them together since i separated them, which renders the wide angle lens as useless. I am rather disappointed by this so unless the vendor can send me replacement macro and wide angle lenses, i will have to return and order again.

Very good – well made, simple set-up and just works.

First of all, i’d like to make it clear that i was given this kit free by camkix, as a review product. It’s a well made kit, that comes with a sturdy little tripod, a carry pouch and a couple of lens cloths. You can gat some nice effects, especially when taking portraits. You can also get some rather interesting super8 film effects, when filming in 4k. I think this kit is more of a novelty item, and i’m not sure it’s worth £25, £15 is a more realistic amount.

The camkix 4 in 1 lens kit is well made, for the price range it’s in. Supplying both (in this case) the samsung s8 & 8+ backs it works with either phone is a nice touch, the case fits my samsung s8+ well and holds the lenses firmly. It comes supplied with a tripod and phone holder and makes this an all in one solution with wide angle, macro, fisheye and telephoto lenses, the telephoto lens though lacks sharp detail and could be easier to focus. The macro/wide angle and fish eye lenses are very well made and the results were great, would definitely recommend, if they could improve the telephoto’s sharpness it would be worth a 5 * rating for sure.

Nice box easy to put together but in the telescopic lens there is dirt which can’t be removed leaving round black dots on every image taken with it. Apart from that all the other lenses and the tripod and case etc are fine but as that is the largest and probably most of the cost of the set it has to lose 2 stars.

I bought this because i’ve just recently got into spider photography. I heard about this kit from a friend, and thought it would be ideal for someone who is a hobbyist but not wanting to spend hundreds of pounds. This is very easy to use and has a macro, fisheye, wide angle and telephoto lens. Also included- cleaning cloth, tripod, and a cover for the phone, which the lenses screw on to. Very easy to use, and i’m very happy with my purchase and i’m sure to use all of the lenses at some point. My sample photos are an apple stalk, a small fragment of a leaf, and a very tiny (8mm) spider.
