Satechi Edge Wireless Gaming Mouse 800 DPI : Very good

Has broken once however customer support were great i was sent a new one and have been using it since. The hotkeys are very useful and easier to press down than mice i have previously owned.

It feels higher quality than the price would suggest. I’ve only used it for diablo 3 and some rpg games with turn based combat so can’t comment on how useful it is for fps but i love it.

Fantastic for the price, no input lag at all in games, i know a few elitist gamers hate wireless mice and keyboards but even trying to see if there was any lag in response, i could see nothing at all, nice and smooth, and lag free can’t rave enough on this mouse. This actually replaced a busted asrog £100 gaming mouse, think i paid for the aluminium body on that one as this mouse is just as good, and even has a media mode, as well as a double click button which i use a lot in my games.

I will not be as thorough with my review, as there are many extensive and detailed reviews already on here. The mouse arrived quickly and i was very impressed with the product, the low price is a bonus. It was very well packaged and the design of the mouse is perfect for my needs (gaming and general computer use). However unfortunately i did have some problems with the mouse’s laser sensor, however everything else on the mouse was working perfectly and when the sensor was functioning it was a joy to use. Luckily the customer service team emailed me for feedback, general enquires and to ask if i have been having any issues. I explained the problem and they responded quickly to explain that the mouse was defective and are now sending me a new one. I am still extremely happy with the purchase and i don’t want my experience to throw you off from buying it. Unless you game at a high level or need more buttons for what you want to use this mouse for; buy this mouse. You will receive a high quality product, great customer service and all for a low price.

Quality and functionsthe satechi edge wireless gaming mouse is a mouse that has a lot of functions. It has a gaming mode that provides a double-click button with one keystroke. When you need to do fast actions in a game, you are already one step ahead of your enemy. This mouse can be used for gaming of course, but it also has a video control mode. The mouse buttons will transform into play, pause, skip forward/backward buttons and you can adjust your volume with a single click. While in gaming modus you can just the dpi between 800, 1600, 2400 and 4000 dpi. Every single dpi level has another color. Green, blue, red and pink so you know which settings are used by your mouse. The polling rate can be set to 250hz or 500hz. 4g wireless receiver usb, the range is 98 feet. Satechi used a 20g acceleration in the edge gaming mouse. The mouse is made out of plastic and it’s very comfortable even for people with bigger hands. I don’t have any problems at all when using the edge. Naturally curved grooves for fingers and thumb, you are feeling comfortable while having this mouse in use.

Bought this cheap and cheerful mouse for use with my laptop works great windows 10 just plug and play.

Comfort: 4 starsthe first thing i noticed after unboxing this mouse was that it is very light weight without batteries in it, which in my opinion is a good thing because with the weight of the batteries it gets to a pretty comfortable weight. It feels pretty comfortable in my hand, and the positioning of the side buttons line up pretty well for my thumb to easily click them. The left and right mouse buttons require a bit of pressure to click, so you won’t accidentally click them. For fps games, you might want buttons that click with a lighter touch. The side buttons click with slightly less force than the left and right buttons and they feel pretty good. Functionality: 5 starsvery good responsiveness and accuracy for the price. There’s not much else to say other than it works perfectly. Battery life: 1 starthe batteries that came with it lasted less than a week. I changed batteries and turned down the dpi settings, and those batteries lasted 5 days. Although, during the 2nd set of batteries i forgot to turn the mouse off one night.

A mouse that is certainly worth 5 stars in terms of it’s value. At it’s current price of £19. 99 it truly represents a solid mixture of decent hardware, good design and low cost. Hardware:i’ve tried researching online but the exact model no. That said, it does offer up to 4,000 dpi (dots per inch) which is more than sufficient, but more importantly the sensor does have a report/polling rate of 1000hz. This means that the optical sensor reports its position every 1ms, which leads to less jitter and janky movement across the screen. The reason why polling rate is so important is that whilst high dpi is good, most mice in this price bracket tend to offer only 125hz or 250hz (8ms and 4ms respectively). Whilst 8ms of time is imperceptible to the human eye, in usage in intense games, it translates to less pinpoint accuracy of the cursor – shots in fps games and micro-movements in moba or rts are less accurate. This is no issue with the satechi edge as its optimal polling rate of 1000hz means that the cursor glides smoothly, as well as quickly in relation to the dpi setting. Design:generally good neutral design elements with some choice implementations. 0 features a neutral, symmetrical design that suggests ambidexterity, but in truth, is still only meant for right handers due to the thumb button placement on the left of the mouse. It is intended for medium sized hands (think 17-19cm long, 8-10cm wide) but does have quite a high grip for it’s size at around 4cm. I would say this mouse is suited for a palm or relaxed-claw grip style, though everyone’s perception of comfortability will be unique to them.
