Good sharp images across the zoom range. It’s surprisingly light and compact, an doesn’t feel heavy on the front of a lumix gf5 body. It has panasonic-compatible stabilisation and auto-focus. Manual focus is by means of a ring, and it can be zoomed either by the zoom ring or power zoom button.

It is very versatile and sharp. Now with a firmware update it is compatible with dual is with certain lumix camera bodies.

I bought this power zoom lens as an additional ‘environment specific’ long-distance lens for use with my panasonic gh4 dslr (and they are a great fit together). I use this lens primarily for video, and the power zoom offers smooth zooming functionality and great optics. It is also perfect for both long-range and macro photography. In particular, time-lapse photography. It is also an assuring weight/size, with a premium build quality. The power zoom is really the defining feature of the lens, so for this reason i recommend it. Especially to owners of the gh4, to bulk up your optical arsenal.

Excellent lens, very sharp, does not extend when focusing or zooming which is brilliant.

I’m using this lens with a panasonic dmc-g7 camera. The firmware versions as of november 2015 are 1. The lens handles nicely on the g7 and for me it feels more at home than the 14-42 standard lens that came with the g7. Zoom adjustment can be via the power zoom slider or the manual zoom ring, with the focal length shown on the g7 screen or electronic viewfinder. The power zoom is smooth and quiet. Focusing is almost as quick as the 14-42 lens, although i haven’t tried tracking shots or video as yet. I believe that the g7 firmware includes automatic adjustment for the lens and there wasn’t noticeable vignetting when i used the loupe tool in silkypix developer studio 6 to view raw images. Images are sharp and have natural colour that is vibrant with the right subjects.

Does what it says on th tin, excelent vfm. Used first time on holiday with great results. The clarity of focus was very impressive and with ois, picture sharpness was perfect.

Researched this lens, purchased for me as a present, performs and does everything that is required of it, so very happy with its performance.

This lens really completes the pansonic g5 and its well worth the money as its so reasonably priced for a great lens. I highly recommend you llok at buying this product from pansonic if you have a g series camera.

Very pleased with this zoom lens, the image quality is excellent and having internal focusing is great no zoom creep.

I bought this to go with a gx1. I have, so far, been really impressed. It is really, really light, very sharp and on my camera shows no signs of any issues mentioned elsewhere re is. It does not extend and zooms internally. Zoom via the camera or the lens in traditional way is nice + the focus locks on really quickly. Build is excellent – even though it is light and i saw no reason to go for the larger 45-200 zoom. This lens seems really well suited to the gx1 and together with the 14-42 i think i have an ideal combination. I have tended to use this lens on the camera with the lvf2 viewfinder as i am used to a big slr. But there is no reason no to use it without as the lens is so light and easy to use. I definitely recommend the lens.

Hesitated before buying but went on a photography workshop and realised i needed a better zoom to get the shots i wanted and get off automatic and into manual mode – went out the day i got it and the shots were fantastic and i am a beginner – could not believe the quality – great lens.

Purchased for my dad by my mum for xmas – believe it’s good – have not been told otherwise.

Brilliant powered lense uses an internally zoomed system so no dust is not carried back in to the housing, nice balanced size as you have not got the weight of the zoom, overall so practically built.

I aquired this lens a while ago, and very much enjoy using it. Bear in mind it’s about 90-350mm due to the micro 4/3. :d i made a youtube review for it anyway[.

It’s a leica lens and that should be enough, but this is a peculiar one: very light and soft by touch, very precise and accurate with images, is a wonderful lens for street photo as well as familiar photo: very versatile.

New Premium Lens Brand “X” From LUMIX G Micro System

Bought this lense before i bought the camera. Using it on a gx7c panasonic camera and reasonably impressed. Have not quite got it taking sharp images yet but i am still testing it. Liked the electronic zoom but had a little problem with the focus at first but now seems to be working fine. This is a good quality lense that im sure will give me years of pleasure.

Superb lens, well manufactured, sharp end-to-end and the power zoom works fine with the panasonic phone app too. Considering this is effectively a 350mm zoom on m43 its so light for a lens covering that focal length, highlighting one of the key benefits of the m43 system. As a wildlife photographer with a passion for going off the beaten track, this is likely to become my goto lens due to its quality and portability.

Delivery prompt and packaging appropriate. Excellent lens, but internal camera flash casts a shadow with the lens being much larger. You will need to use an external flash. Lens excellent for long range photography, birds, wild life etc.

Good quality pictures, easy to use and lightweight weight. The best feature is the internal focusing mechanism which means the lens does not get longer as you focus and there is no lens creep. All the automatic features work, a quality piece of kit.

This is one of those lenses which underlines the value of the micro 4/3 system. In conjunction with a panasonic gh3 the results are superb. 999% of photographers nothing heavier for 350 mm (eqiv) is needed. Sharpness is excellent at all lengths, including the far distancemy kit is the 14-45 3. This covers all my expected photographic needsbarnabas.

Very good for the price did look at a lot more expansive ones but this lens does all i need.

The World’s First Digital Interchangeable Power Zoom Lens

Added to my lumix dmc-gm1 this gives incredibly long range shots of amazing clarity. Because of the internal zoom it isn’t too big and is quite light so the balance of the camera isn’t affected unduly. Good value worth looking at.

The plus points are that it is small, lightweight and compact. It also comes with a lens hood and case. The negative points is that it is rather expensive. What i like most about this lens is its power zoom which is very smooth in operation. The zoom range is also good. Overall i am very pleased with it.

Exceptional, recent trip to europe and this lens shines. Its a better deal than the 150mm and better build quality than the 200mm. Photos are sharp and the power zoom provides smooth zooming perfect for video. Build quality is good for a plastic lens and the focus wheel is very smooth.

Depends where you buy it from. 00sharpness is very good at full aperture reaching max sharpness across the frame at f8. Ca is non existent and fall off at the edges minimal. Having a long lens that doe not ‘trombone ‘ is great. You do not have to use the zoom motor, manual zoom is very fast. However you can set the power zoom to slow medium and fast in the cameras menu. I am using a g5 could not afford the gh3 focus is fast, as are all mft cameras.
