Yongnuo Lens : Good Lens for the price

For the price this lens is brilliant. I used it with home studio with constant lighting. No problems with focus on nikon d5300.
You are getting what you pay for here. So the major problems with the lens are:-autofocus is slow and clumsy. When you have an incredibly shallow depth of field this can be quite frustrating. But i have seen this as an opportunity to learn how to manual focus properly-chromatic aberrations after 10 meters become significant. After 15-20 meters the picture becomes unusable. Be aware this is not a multipurpose lens. That aside i bought this for potraits and street photography. The clarity over 5 meters is great, isolating a subject can be done with ease once you figure the manual focus.
Auto focus can be hit and miss but for its price can’t really complain.
Sharp but a little bit bright.
Very happy with photos from this lens.
i’ve been using this lens for almost a year now, mainly for portraits and night sky pictures. It produces fairly good quality images with slight distortions on the outermost edges of the pictures. The auto focus isn’t always accurate, and is fairly loud, though i don’t find this to be much of an issue. This is a lens i carry with me for most shoots. A great, useful lens for the price.

Nice little cheap lens for the amateurs with shallow pockets. Afmotor a little noisy and slow but you get over that and it’s not a wildlife lens so as for street/portrait etc, shouldnt cause offence.
Excellent lens, great price & fits perfect on my nikon.
Brill for the money well worth it.
Amazing even when i used to practise with it the image is brilliant recommand you to buy it especially for the beginners.
I have rated this at 4 stars mainly due to the cost in comparison with a better quality lensmain issues are with the autofocus. Not very accurate and very rarely works. It has forced me to use manual focus which isnt the end of the world. Sharpness wise it is a little softer than would have hoped but can’t really complaini do use this alot with portraits and love the bokeh that it produces. Note: if using with a crop sensor body then you may want to pay a little extra for the 35mm as this one is a little tight and finding that have to stand a little further back.
To say what a good price this lens is, it is amazing quality. Pictures are pin sharp and the whole lens has great quality. Works perfectly with my nikon d3200 and d3400.

Plastic fantastic –wonderfull buy does as stated no fuss lovely clear images. Would buy yongnuo products again highly recomend.
Good quality for money, fits my nikon d3300.
