Opticron 32mm Rubber Objective Lens Covers OG XS Pair fits models : Practical even if not wholly stylish
Very annoying when you lose a cap but these are perfect replacements and fit better than the originals.
Used for my zeiss victory 8×40 and covers them perfectly.
Fit canon 12 x 36 stab bins fine.
Arrived on time and fitted my bushnell 10x42mm perfectly. Better than the bushnell original lens covers as they slipped off all the time.
Since canon were too mean to provide the essential (in my opinion) objective lens covers along with the 12×36 is binos, i had been hunting all over the internet until i found these which looked to be about the right size. I can confirm that they fit perfectly and are very good quality so if you are looking for some excellent lens caps to go with this truly excellent binocular then look no further.
These lens caps were bought to replace the lens caps that came with my bushnells binoculars. They fit over the barrel of the lenses rather than inside the barrel and stay on much more securely than the factory ones which would frequently become dislodged while carrying them around. For what they are they are quite expensive but will be worth it if they stay in place while the binoculars are in my rucksack and prevent the lenses from getting scratched.
I used these to take on holiday because i was always losing lens covers in the field. Be careful to select the correct diameter when purchasing. It was such a relief to slip them on and off securely in wind rain and poor light. Simple and effective, well worth the price to protect a valuable pair of binoculars.
These were exactly as required and described. I needed a replacement as one fell off my binoculars. It just seemed quite a lot of money for what it was.

These rubber caps are for my leica 7×42’s. The original caps broke where the strap joins the ring and getting replacements from leica was like looking for hen’s teeth and the cost was high. I tried butler creek flip ups and these kept breaking at the hinge (yes, my bino’s are well used) when i found these on amazon i was a bit aprehensive because they seemed ‘too cheap’ how wrong i was, they are superb. Anyone out there with expensive binoculars needn’t break the bank for lens covers, get a pair of these. They are a snug fit on leica ultravid 7×42 and at this price, i can buy five sets for the cost of the original replacement from the manufacturer.
I bought these as the briggs & stratton sahara 10×42 caps fell off on the first walk out. These are better than the original and far more secure as the band that holds the caps in place is wider and a better fit to the barrel. I’m sure that i won’t have to buy a pair for each trip in the future.
A perfect fit for my canon 12×36 is iii binoculars. Attaching loop is a little loose but that means there is no stress on the caps when they are on, and means i won’t lose them.
These are perfect, exactly what should’ve come with the binoculars in the first place. You should either add a few £ to the price or take the hit. To buy binoculars in this price range and get covers that hardly stay on is a bit dodgy.
Bought for a pair of olympus binoculars.
Lost a lens cap on my olympus 8×40 binoculars. These fit perfectly, with the added advantage that they stay attached, so won’t be lost.
I thought this was a little expensive but it is well made and fits my olympus binoculars very well.
I unfortunately lost one of the lens covers for my bushnell h2o 10×42 binoculars within a couple of weeks of purchase and bought a set of these lens covers as a replacement. I am delighted with the quality and fit of these covers, having taken other reviewers advice and carefully measuring the outside diameter of the lens casing (which in this case was 50mm) i purchased the 48-50 mm size and they fit perfectly. Being made of rubber and flexible means that the fit is exact to the dimensions of the binoculars and they won’t accidentally become detached, the rubber attachment loop is an excellent idea and keeps the covers secure.
Much better tan the single lens fit cover – while these are one to a lens they have loop that fits to binoculars that maintains them as a fixture when in use.

Great product, well made and easy to use. Very happy with this purchase.
I have just purchased two pairs of these rubber lens caps, one pair for my swanky leica binos, which staggering, considering their hefty price, came without lens caps . Both pairs fitted rubber rings very easily but firmly fitted around the binoculars and the caps themselves fitted snugly into position. The really important thing is obviously to measure by millimetre correctly the two separate diameters. Od refers to the outside diameter of the binocular body and og refers to the millimetre diameter of the inner glass lens. Measure correctly and you cannot go wrong. I was impressed by the price, which includes the postage, making it v good value and i was also mighty impressed by their arriving within 48 hours of placing my order. Lens covers for wife’s binoculars.
Providing you realise that od refers to the outside diameter of the binocular barrel and og refers to the diameter of the objective glass – i. The glass at the end – you should be able to get the right size. They work and fit well on my leather-covered leica 8×42 bl.
These are made from good quality plastic, a bit bulkier than they need to be but perfectly fine for what is required. Measured external diameter of objective lenses to make sure i got the right size and all worked out fine.
I bought these to replace the dodgy lens caps on my nikon prostaff 7s 10×42. They fit snugly and do the job that the nikon caps fail to do which is to stay attached to the bins at all times.
Bought therese as an upgrade, they are excellent, really worth the money, they are a secure perfect fit and definitely will not fall off.
Purchased to replace a lost original from my swarovski 50mm binocular. They are slightly too small but can be stretched over and are in use. The material is less durable than the original but more flexible and strong enough. The bands are barely tight enough. I have had one pop off already. I would go for the originals another time and use these on optician.
The description seems to indicate you only get one, but you get a pair. Easy to fit onto binoculars to replace lost or damaged ones.

Fed up with loosing or dropping the separate lens covers on my nikon sporter ex 10×50 binoculars i purchased a pair of 58mm-60mm alongside an opticron 45. 5mm bga binocular rainguard. 5mm bga binocular rainguard both items fit perfectly and snugly and protect the lenses at both ends really well. Weight wise there is no appreciable difference to the original when carrying the binoculars around your neck or holding them up to view. As the covers are fixed tightly (but not too much) to the binoculars i can now leave the bino’s fabric carry case in the car or at home without fear of smearing or scratching the lenses at either end.
Not convinced that they’ll stay on.
These lens caps are the same as the original caps which only lasted a few months before they broke from the link that holds them to the binoculars and got lost. I would suggest cutting off the links and just use the actual lens caps. That way you can take them off at the start of the day and leave them in the carrying case eliminating the prospect of them falling off and not knowing.
These turned out to be a perfect fit to use as dustcover caps for the eyepiece lens (not the objective lens) of my canon 10 x 42 l is wp binoculars. I snipped them with scissors and just used the cap part.
. Bought as replacement for bush covers, which kept falling off until one was lost. These fit much better and i stopped worrying about whether they were still attached. Would thoroughly recommend them.
These lens caps fit my bushnell 42×10 binoculars perfectly and securely. They seem to be well made from strong material.
Do not perfectly fit my swarovski 10*50 binoculars: a bit tight. However considering the ridiculously high price of the original lens covers i’m very happy with these.
