Olympus Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm, 40mm-150mm lens

The lens is quite light compared to the standard lens and makes for interesting portraits as well as allowing a close up of a wasps nest in the garden. Only disappointment is that it didn’t come with a lens case.
A great addition to the scope of photography with my olympus e-p2 camera. It complements the performance of the basic zoom lens.
The zoom is nice the quality is clear. Good price for this qualityi have olymbus d520 camera base. I took the lens for outdoors experianceand took some nature photos.
Great lens, excellent value for money and great serviceas must have for any olympus slrdelivered promptly and was as advertisedwould definitely recommend.
Lens is pretty sharp (even compared to my sigma 70-200/2,8 on canon). Compact, lightweight, build quality not the best though. Really good value for money.
I had been looking for this lens for some time in order to zoom in closer without disturbing nature like birds etc. Longer focal length now allows me to do this easily would definitely recommend this lens.
This is a fantastic lense, small, compact (infact i first thought they had sent the wrong one, it was so small) and lightwieght. The zoom is excellent and takes really nice sharp pictures even on sports mode. I have the olympus e-400 and it was definetly made for this series of camera. I have used the lens all day, trying (and mostly succeeding) to take photos of red kites while in flight, and i am now very glad i didnt go with one of the cheaper non olympus models. Well worth the money, especially if like me you are a ‘wannabe’ photographer.

I’ve had this lens for about a year now, and i think i get the best results (image quality) from this lens than from the others i have (14 – 42 standard kit zoom, and a 70 – 300 super telephoto) on my olympus pen e-pl1, with mmf-2 4/3 to micro 4/3 adapter. Af is fast (especially since the recent firmware update for the camera), but the manual focus ring is smooth and accurate – not notchy like the 70 – 300. Minimum aperture f4 isn’t terribly fast, but i still find it gives nice defocus in the 80mm – 100mm focal length range. Build quality seems fine to me, but there may be good and bad days for manufacture, hence the great value price, so i may just have been lucky to get a good one.Would still recommend it however. . I mean, at this price you can’t really refuse to buy one.
I use this lens with an olympus e-600 which, being a four-thirds dslr, has a limited range of lenses available for it. This lens works well, though, and adds a lot of extra range to the limited 14-42 that came with the camera. Autofocus can sometimes take a second or so to settle but that’s maybe to be expected on a lens with such a variation in zoom range. I can’t really fault the lens, though, and would happily recommend it.
This is the kit lens that comes with the dslrs that olympus used to sell. It’s got a decent ‘reach’ (equivalent to 80-300mm on a full frame camera), it’s light, and gives good image quality, with decent sharpness. It can take a couple of moments to focus, but other than that it does work well.
This gives the additional opportunity to take better closeups. It is for an olympus camera and fits well.
First class lens which is very compact. Excellent picture quality and easy to fit and use.
