Sigma 10-20mm f3, Good value for money

Big fat yesgood lens, good value for money, very nice quality pictures. Who not happy just buy better, pay 700,1000,1500  pound and more for lenses. If money is a problem so just enjoy what you got. One more thing, i know people who can afford camera and lenses that coast 4000-5000 pound, and dont know how to use it or use it just on auto mode,my pictures from my phone looks much better to compare with them😂doesnt matter how much your camera staff coast, matters what you can do with that. Thank you and enjoy your photo.

I use to use an 18-35 before buying this one, and boy, there is such a difference it even changed the way i take picture. There is so much more you can add in the frameif you are into landscape photography, you won’t find any better.

It has great center sharpness at all focal lengths at most apertures. Where it falls is mainly right in the corners where it gets quite mushy. It needs stopped down to f8 to get edges and corners into focus. It’s not really usable wide open unless you crop in 50%. It doesn’t have nearly as much distortion as expected so for video it would be good. Better value for money than the af-p 10-20mm from nikon.

Have had this lens now for several months and love it, it’s almost become my standard lens. It came with me on a recent trip to italy and rome and it stayed on camera practically all the time. The colours on it appear good and no problems with sharpness.

Amazing for landscape photography, strong expensive build, feels like a machine, quite heavy, great auto focus, tad expensive at the time.

This lens has a good solid feel to it. It looks to be at it’s sharpest at f8/f10 and at 10mm there is an expected modest amount of barrel distortion, which fortunately lightroom lens correction deals with fairly well. Out at 20mm the distortion is minimal and unless you are doing architectural work or have other prominent straight lines near the image edges then it’s more than liveable with. All in all very happy with this lens and at under £300 it’s good value for money.

Beautiful lens, pin point focus

My favourite lens!

This is the second version of the sigma 10-20 i’ve owned. Well made and a delight to use.

Great build quality great picture quality but heavy after a while on 10mm can get a massive amount of land on every shot. Auto focus is fast and silent.

Delighted with the performance of this lens. I can’t compare directly with the canon equivalent but this lens has certainly exceeded my expectations. Used on a holiday to the italian lakes and all the images are excellent.

My favourite lens as i so mostly landscape photography. This lens just works and any poor images are down to me not the lens.

Great quality, great results – very pleased.

I have wanted a wide angle lens for ages and when i got this i was so pleased with the results. Big wide skies are just awesome. It is amazing how close you can get to smaller subjects and still fit them in. It is horses for courses so don’t expect to get small detail in a big scene so it should be one of two or three lenses in your bag.

Really sharp which is exactly what i needed. A definite must have in your camera bag.

Works perfectly with my nikon d7200. More than sharp enough for normal needs. I don’t know what it would be like if pixelpeeping, but i really like the images this lens produces.

It’s great, expensive but does the job.

I bought this for wide angle photography but not satisfied with the outcome. The sharpness is not good enough. May be my skill or my camera fault, but the outcome failed my expectation.

Not really used this lens yet other than to make sure it works ok, with a few test shots in the house and garden, but first impressions are very favourable. 5 aperture throughout the range is a real plus point.

Fantastic lens, get a whole room with no problems and the uprights aren’t sloping inwards.

For edge sharpness it needs plenty of light. That’s not a criticism though, as the performance/price ratio from this sigma (my first from the company) is excellent, and build quality seems to be fine. No significant vignetting, which is good news.

A very good wide-angle lens at a fair price. I’m using it with my nikon d7500 which came with an 18-140mm lens so an additional lens of 10 – 20mm is a great help for improved landscape photography.

Exactly what i expected, wish the instructions were in english though. Need help re the settings to be fair so looking it up on the internet now.

I wanted a wide angle lens for recording interiors this does the job brilliantly. You need to learn the technique of using a wide angle to get the best results. I use it with my nikon d5100 and have been very pleased with the quality. Comes in its own case which is a nice extra.

I use this lens on a nikon d7200 and love it. The build quality is excellent and it handles really well. 5 isn’t that fast compared to a prime lens but at least is constant across the zoom range, which is a real boon.

This lens has opened up a new level of landscape photography for me. The extra wide lens makes such a difference to every day landscape photos, instantly adding a dramatic feeling to a good sky. The corners can be very soft which has caused me some issues, but as long as you don’t frame your picture too tightly you can work around this.

Really excellent i’ve had some fantastic results. Good quality well made and good value l love it. I couldn’t believe how fast the delivery was i ordered it on 7pm on the sunday and it arrived the next day at 7 pm doesn’t get much better than that thank you.

A very good lens clear and sharp well made zoom is smooth, manual focus is an ease if req’d. Supplied in a well padded protective pouch.

I’m not an expert, but naturally it’s not the sharpest at the lowest aperature. For the price, it’s a good wide angle lens to have and it came in handy a few times. If u need a wide angle lens and on a budget, safe to get this one.

This is a great lens, though a rather heavy addition to the kit. Takes a bit of getting used to the fixed f-stop but enjoying the results and glad i added it to my options.

Much better than expected, even at the edges. Greatly improved my landscape range and interior shots. Highly recommended for the money.

Well built feels quality a great lens for landscapes and indoor shooting best used with a tripod due to the weight.

What a fantastic lens, crystal clear throughout its focal length. Light and super quick autofocus.

I have used this lens for so many occasions when i have needed just that extra width. However, even for milky way photography when f/3. 5 is smaller than the maximum f/2. 8 generally recommended i have had some much better than expected results. When i next try my hand at milky way photography, i will be using my pentax k3ii camera which has an astrotracer built in and this will really outweigh the aperture restriction regarding light collection.

I have it on a canon 600d and i find the picture quality very impressive for the price. I am an enthusiastic novice, so no expert by any means, but i think i can tell a decent image when i see one.

Fantastic ultra wide lens with little to no abberation at widest point – sigma’s own supplied hood however does introduce some vignetting between 10-12mm – which is disappointing as it means that they have not considered that possibility when they designed it.

My 2nd sigma lens, and not disappointed, great pics, sharp and quick af.

Beautiful lens, pin point focus, great colours and lovely to work with. Using on a crop camera but still getting a super wide angle on shots.

I’ve had this lens for a few months now and i have to say it is excellent. Autofocus is very quiet and pin sharp. I have taken some fabulous landscape shots with it plus used it for a wedding shoot. 13/08/2017this lens will not autofocus with a nikon d5500 after the firmware is updated in the camera body.

Fall in love with your photography all over again with this lense. Opens up a new image window that you have not explored before.
