Logitech Gaming Keyboard G510s – UK layout, Good keyboard but

This keyboard even though it doesn’t have mechanical keys this keyboard is very comfortable and satisfying to use. Also the 18 g keys allow me to create macros for specific games. Making everything more streamlined. As well as a button that allows for quick macro creation. The lcd screen allows me too view stats about my pc such as the use of my cpu and ram. I didn’t expect recent games to work with the screen. As the official list gives games from 2011-2012. Games like the talos principle, will work and give you puzzle details, death counter and timer. I am happy with this keyboard.
What can i say logitech i love you. . I recently bought a logitech g35 7. 1 surround sound headset and i am so impressed with it that i decided to look for a good gaming keyboard. I looked for days and a friend had told me to try keep all my products the same like headset / keyboard / mouse. So looked at my mouse which iv had for a few years now only to see that it is a logitech mx500 i was so happy to see that so i looked around for a great keyboard and then i found it. Logitech g510s it looked so cool but it felt better with a massive 54 programmable macro keys just by pressing one button. The keyboard has a small led display that has a multi function option with a wide range of apps and games are displayed. Overall i would say it is the best deal for me and i think logitech wait. . I know logitech is a brand ill be using from now on.
Love this keyboard, it lights up (rather dim) but lights up and you can attach different colours and macros. It has a jack for headphones and a mic but sadly not usb. All the keys work as intended but after only a couple of months, some of the keys are starting to get sticky when pressing. Really dissapointing as everything works well. It has a notification window that can tell you the time, latest news but i mainly use it for the display of my cpu/ram levels. Very handywould give it 5 if the keys were not starting to stick.
Replaced my old g15 – it doesn’t link in via software with my z10 speakers like the g15 did but acts independently but its fine.
This keyboard is quite robust and has lasted me a few years. It is plenty of macro buttons on it if you need them. You are able to change the colour of the backlit keys to just about any colour. The brightness of the backlit keys are a bit dark and can be hard to see in rooms with high light intensity. The little button to change the contents of the screen will probably be the first button to stop working on the keyboard as you could end up pressing it many times depending on what you want displayed.
I am no more interested in computer games, though some 30 years ago i was some kind of a neighborhood champion in the arcade games, especially in the «defender». But now i’m 66 years old and don’t have the stamina and concentration required for a gamer. Several years ago, my right hand was ruined due to a devastating operation by an incompetent surgeon. Thus, the programmable keys situated at the left end of the keyboard, became an unexpected help to my disability. This is the second logitech keyboard i buy. Formerly, i was using its predecessor, g15. I don’t know how helpful this keyboard is to a gamer. However, i strongly recommend it to people who have the same or a similar disability to mine. I am confident that logitech will come up with a version focused on the needs of disabled persons. And we form a large number of individuals who have lost their ability to use both hands in typing, due to an accident or a disease such as parkinson’s or dystonia.
For office tasks, it’s not the most responsive keybaord ever, but the lcd screen and media keys are very useful. The g keys involve a bit of a learning curve to enjoy.

I’ve been a bit of a logitech fanboi but this has disappointed me. The font used for the keys is just ugly and the back-light doesn’t show through evenly as there are small marks on the letters. The wasd keys are particularly bad and pretty much impossible to read. The keys for the lcd screen are cheap and don’t always work, needing repeated presses to get anything to happen. Overall the build quality seems ok but the entire thing just looks and feels cheap and nasty.
First of all, i had logitech g15 keyboard, one of the first ones that came out with lcd screen (mono). But that keyboard was like 4 years old and the illumination was not as strong, barely visible. But overall i was very happy with logitech brand, therefore decided to stick with them. Lcd panel screen (for controlling my water cooling temps of cpu and gpus)i had 2 options: g19 or g510. G19 has couple extra buttons and colour lcd panel. That was about it, no other big differences, except the price. Didn’t want to pay nearly 150 pounds for keyboard. So i chose g19 with smaller lcd screen, which is still monochrome, but background colour changes together with keys colour. I was very happy to see that illumination can be set up any way you want, any colour. Lcd panel screen is smaller than old g15, but i was surprised to see how well it worked with smaller fonts. I could still get all my cpu and gpu temps on one screen. I had my old g15 keyboard’s panel lcd setup with barloggg’s applet and it worked wonders. I was very surprised to see i didn’t have to change anything once i connected g510 keyboard.
Logitech are just epic at making gaming gear. This keyboard is the perfect gaming keyboard. The ingame macro programming is so quick and simple to use. The whole keyboard it self is a beast. You can have 3 colour schemes programmed at 1 time from a choice of all the colours. Meaning you can switch from e. G red to green with 1 press of a button. You can set lots of profiles for your games so all your marcos are saved.
Very easy to install, use and handle. Bought this for my son who has never had a gaming pc or keyboard before, but found it very easy to use and picked up the keys almost immediately. Well worth considering if serious about gaming.
My husband wanted this as everywhere else it was far too expensive, and he liked this and wanted this one,and he has had logitech ones before,so they are a good make and design.
To begin with i was very unwilling to spend £100 on a new keyboard seeing as my current £10 one has been doing just fine but i decided to bite the bullet and buy this for my new rig. I can honestly say i had low expectations for this keyboard and only bought it for the nice lighting effect and the fact it went with my mouse. However it turned out to be very nice with some great features. This keyboard has lots of room for customisation and is very sturdy. Works great with the logitech gaming software and shows me my cpu / ram usage and keeps track of my dpi. All this stuff is great for gaming. Of course, if you’re not buying this for a gaming you’ll be unlikely to use many of the cool features you’re paying for. To summarise, if you can justify paying £100 on a keyboard i would definitely recommend this one.
I bought this for the programmable keys, which work well, and so i could use it in the dark. It’s fairly good, but with a couple of gripes: the illumination isn’t very bright (it seems dimmer than the g13 keypad) making the keys occasionally difficult the read in a normally lit room, especially when using a non-white backlight. Also, some of the key legends are tiny and a bit stylized – spotting the bracket keys isn’t that easy, for example.

Arrived on time and works as expected (brilliantly). Was using a rubbish old wireless keyboard before without the extra buttons so this new layout will take some getting used to. I’m very happy with the amount of customisation that is at my disposal now. Only thing i’d like to point out is this: if you’re looking to install the logitech gaming software, the download for windows 7 64-bit is incorrect on the site’s drop-down menu. Instead of giving you the right file, it downloads the 32-bit version instead and you’ll be greeted with an error if you try to install it. If you encounter this issue go here and download the file listed in the highlighted post:http://forums. Com/t5/logitech-g-mice/sorry-this-software-is-not-compatible-with-your-operating-system/m-p/1419395/highlight/true#m37613that should fix the issue for you.
I am now stuck with a pointless(ly bad light show of a) keyboard.
Very good keyboard for the money it has a bunch of really useful shortcut keys you can use to mute your volume, raise and lower it, pause, fast forward and a bunch more but the keys have to be pressed quite hard in order to type.
When i first started gaming a number of years ago, i was introduced to the joys of logitech gaming keyboards with my first g15. The ability to set up profiles and g keys were a revelation to me. Since then my time available for gaming has reduced but my love of logitech keyboards has not. This is my third gaming keyboard, not because they are flimsy but because i am quite hard on keyboards and like new shiny features. One of the main things that draw me to these keyboards is the fact that there are predefined game profiles, sparing you the bother of setting them up. For example i have just bought a new computer – i simply installed the game, installed the software and it automatically detects the game, downloads the profile and then i drag and drop commands to the keyboard map and on my logitech mouse. Other smart features include the lcd panel, which you can choose what it displays such as the time, pop3 clients to display email, rss feeds, media player etc. , it also has media keys on the keyboard. I love the system volume, which frankly every keyboard ought to have. It has a built in sound driver, so if you plug headphones into it it has it’s own management system.
If i hadn’t loved that keyboard so much i may have gone for a mechanical one at this price. As is often the case though amazon offered the best online deal i could find including delivery.
The 1st g510s i got was faulty – the ‘esc’ button wasn’t working and there was vertical lines appearing on the lcd screen. I got it replaced and after a month of testing i am happy with the functionality and design of this keyboard. There is couple good and bad points about it. 1st thing i noticed about this keyboard is the amount of programmable g buttons – i’m not sure if i’ll ever use half of them. The blue/graphite surface on the back of the keyboard is shiny so you can see every fingerprint and mark on it. Lcd is great though i haven’t played a game which will have additional support for it yet. I use it for displaying gpu/cpu stats from msi afterburner software – really useful. The g software is really good and lets you customize everything very easily. The buttons are quiet and soft but precise at the same time. Because of the keyboard layout it took me a while to get used to the location of some buttons.
Used this for gaming for what feels like forever. If it died on me from old age or use i would by another. Comfortable to use with full custom settings in its software and profile settings for each game you want to play. Its aged a little compared to the higher end keyboards but as a starter or budget buy you wont bear its value.

A very good gaming keyboard at a reasonable price. Good for mmos and rpgs, and the brand name is one you can trust as well so a double bonus.
My old g15 broke after having it for over 10 years and this seemed like the next logical step up. Really like the custom colours that you can now use. Provides all the same features of the g15 with a couple of extra ports to plug in your headphones and microphone so you can control muting them from the keyboard. You can also use the new software to couple the profiles with logitech mice. I have a logitech g9 mouse and i was a bit confused at first when my mouse settings started changing when i was changing settings on my keyboard. Now i am used to it though it is brilliant. Would definitely recommend the buy.
Clear letters nice screen and fills really nice to use, brought this to replace my old g19 that broke (8 years old) but i never used the colour screen so this works nicely. I have several logitech items cant argue with the quality price and fill so always buy there products.
Did the job i needed it to, but had the draw back is that it was too bulky at some points.
I have had this for 3 years, i have spilt a full glass of coke on it and also a glass of apple juice. Haha but the thing is still working like new.Even though the coke was sticky i just popped all the keys out and wiped it down with warm water and soaked all the keys in warm water and then cleaned it with wet wipes etc. Today its still going like new without issues and still no non responsive keys.
I bought this keyboard to replace an old logitech one. Way more than i’ve ever spent on a keyboard before but i didn’t like any of the new standard logitech ones as they had weird things like a lack of a right click button (which i use all the time) or had hideous wavy keys and ‘ergonomic’ nonsense. I settled on this keyboard for the extra functionality the g keys provide. I don’t play a lot of pc games but figured these would be excellent for photoshop and 3d work. The ability to record a quick macro basically lets you copy and paste multiple text or figure entries without having to store stuff in a notepad and repeatedly go back to copy it. That’s indispensable in design work. Then of course you have the ability to set these buttons to execute scripts or macros in program. Previously i was running out of buttons on my mouse and keyboard to assign shortcuts to, now i have 18 dedicated buttons to play with. Another great feature is the lcd screen which can give a readout of the processor and ram usage. If i have something rendering in the background i can now just glance at the screen and see when the processor usage has dropped off rather than listening out for the processor whine, having task manager open or checking every few minutes. Only minor complaint with the screen is that the brightness on it is a lot higher than that of the keys themselves. There doesn’t seem to be an option to change the brightness individually. Also whilst the gaming keyboard software includes a scripting tool you can’t edit the existing applets which are all exes. So whilst there’s some things i would like to change about the applets for the lcd i would have to start writing from scratch to do this.
Excellent keyboard, working brilliantly at the minute and the screen although over-rated is a nice feature to have. I was like a child when i saw this product with the screen and expected amazing things, thus far i have only really used 1 function which monitors the cpu/ram usage of the pc. The right alt key seems to get stuck but doesn’t seem to cause any issue’s to the use of the keyboard what so ever. I’ve been able to smash away at the keyboard in the midst of battle and not had any problems.

Some problems i have come across, the keys are difficult to see mainly because the keyboard sits flat on the desktop even with its feet extended and the lights on the keys are not helping. Programing the key combinations are easy but the volume wheel seems a bit intermittent possible a software issue even with the latest drivers.
Coming from a years old g11, and not wanting to stray into mechanical keyboard territory (too loud), this keyboard has been a welcome replacement. The software is a bit shonky at times (the media controls don’t always work when playing music in the background with a game running at the forefront, but other than that, it’s a fine piece of kit.
Once you get one you will not want anything else, perfect for gaming and the extra side buttons are a godsend for macros and keybindings.
Always been a logitech fan and have used their products for many years, until a few years ago when i used a cyborg keyboard, followed by the merc stealth. This keyboard brought me back to logitech and i’ve not been disappointed , fully functional and programmable i find it very useful for mmorpg’s and elite dangerous to name a couple.
I needed a new keyboard for my new gaming rig and this fits the bill nicely. Some really good features such as downloadable gamer profiles take a lot of the messing about binding keys to the keyboard. The lcd display is a nice touch which displays cpu / memory usage, gamer profiles available and selected, date / time and news feed. Really easy to customise via the profile editor, even i can do it.
I love the keyboard, great for gaming. Only problem is, the palm rest has broken and i’m unable to find a replacement rest on the internet.
G keys aren’t really all that useful for playing games when you have a multi button mouse such as a naga. Keys have a decent feel to them for non mechanical. If you can, go for a mechanical keyboard instead, once you do you’ll never want to go back. Lcd panel is pretty decent and very clear. The profiles are easy to set up with logitech’s software and the rgb colours are really simple to work with too.
Delivery: on timepackaging: well packagedquality: strong and easy to configure with softwareverdict: still as good as when i bought it and doesn’t show any signs of changing.
Great keyboard, fantastic logitech quality and good software. The lighting on it is amazing. The keys are quite nice and great for extended use.
