EACHSHOT YONGNUO YN EF 50mm f/1 : Noisy focus, otherwise great.

My first nifty fifty lens and i’m really liking it. Excellent choice for beginners and people low on money.

Being used in my nikkon d3100 dslr to good effect. Auto focus can be a bit hit and miss at times hence 4-stars. But at this price point it’s worth the gamble. Pros: price, performance, build qualitycons: auto-focus can be intermittent – but often gets fixed by power cycling the camera.

Bought this just today for my nikon d3330. Was a bit skeptical given the low price compared to the competition but it seems to work really nicely. Lovely sharp images, great narrow depth of field, decent build quality and seems to work well in quite low light conditions. Sometimes takes a second or two to find its focus on auto, but considering the price of the alternatives, it’s a steal.

Great quality for the moneyfast delivery.

Thought i might as well give it a go andhave to say its pretty good. Af works well with my nikon d3400 and images are pretty good. Af no more noisy than the kit lens.

Having already previously owning the nikon 50mm, this is a very close call for the money you seriously can’t go wrong for less than a quarter of the price of the nikon 50mm.

The lens is surprisingly good, very well made, the box was slightly damaged and there was no cleaning cloth but the lens itself is great value for the money.

I bought this lens after seeing a similar lens demonstrated on youtube. The price is a fraction of the genuine nikon product. It arrived 3 weeks earlier than the delivery date given when i placed the order. As soon as it arrived i quickly fitted on to the camera and tried it out. It is exactly what i wanted and gives excellent results. I am just a novice and take photos for my own enjoyment so i don’t worry too much about the technicalities of photography but the results that i have achieved exceed what i was looking for.

So far so good, no issues with sharpness, good bokeh at 1.

Might not be as fast as a nikkor, but for the price you pay is great.

Excellent lens for the price paid. Great for a beginner photographer.

Lost connection to camera fiev times. Not shure where fault is, but it did not got this behavior with other lens so far. Other then that it is good lens.

I’ve taken some slap up shots on this bad boy. Pics are a bit edited in a phone app but you get the jist. Bokeh is bokelisious and auto focus is superb.

No issues with quality of photos.

I didn’t expect that the quality compared with this price could be that highon the top of the lens also were a sticker which shows you that the company cares for their products.

I’m predominately a wildlife photographer so have spent £100s on telephoto lenses. I recently wanted to try a bit of portrait photography, and also wanted a good all round prime lens for outdoor shots that i could take on holiday and didn’t weigh a tonne. However, i wasn’t willing to spend loads on something i’d never tried before. This lens is amazing considering how cheap it is.Very versatile, and creates a lovely bokeh at 1. It seems very sturdy and well made. Lightroom does’t have the preset lens correction for this brand, but i’ve found it quite fun to try out all the preset corrections to see what looks good. Overall really pleased with this, i think if you’re anything less than a professional portrait photographer this lens is perfect and you don’t need to spend any more.Note – pic of me has a filter applied afterwards.

Great little lens for the money.

YONGNUO YN EF 50mm f/1.8 AF Lens YN50 Aperture Auto Focus for Nikon Cameras as AF-S 50mm 1.8G With EACHSHOT Cleaning Cloth : Quite soft wide open, but amazingly sharp over f4. Good for low light scenes, perfect for portraits. Not sure about quality of internals, but for the price, i would say you can’t fault it.

Very good, chunky feeling lens, the f1.

The motor does produce a lot of sound and vibration. If you plan to use it in a movie, at least go get a followfocus kit and turn it to manual focus. Otherwise a very great lens for the price, you get what you pay for.

Good amature lens to explore bokeh.

Very happy with the results so far,.

It’s a great lens for the money. It has a metal bayonet connection, the rest is plastic but so is my rest of my nikon lenses. The focus is as noisy as the nikons, nothing that you’d notice. Auto focus hunts in poor light and sometimes the camera thinks that the lens isn’t attached which is easily fixed by reattaching it. Remember to remove the plastic film from the front and rear elements before using. Fits my d3300 and i’m very happy with it.

Good value budget lens and works well. Mine had some dust in the lens though. It didn’t affect the quality and it was just used for an experiment so i didn’t bother to change it.

Every bit as good as my daughters nikon alternative.

Pretty new to photography which is why i chose this low prced lens. Must say very impressed with the photos i have took with it. Experienced photographers might have issues with it but i love it.

My first impressions of this lens lead me to say that it is amazing. The quality of the image is better than i had hoped and has far better clarity, colour balance and sharpness than my standard kit lens. 8, the sharpness does drop a little but nothing that noticeable. I also can’t see any vignetting so far. The bokeh is attractive and the shallow depth of field is already adding a new dimension to my photography. Hopefully the lens will prove reliable and strong – so far so good.

For the price that it costs you buy a good productsame features of the canon/nikon 50mm but half of the price. You won’t go wrong with that.

I bought it as i was pregnant to take pics of my baby and waw. The pics are so nice even with the automatic mode . The lens worth so much it’s price.
