You know, even before it arrives, that this is a ‘one-trick-pony’, and at the price it will be a little bit fuzzy at the edges, with a few chromatic anomalies, because you’re not spending £100,000 on a nikon 6mm fisheye – you’re buying a cheap and cheerful adapter. That said, my first impressions are that it performs brilliantly. 8 there is a little cut-off from a perfect circle at the top and bottom, so i’ve ordered a 67mm adaptor ring to put it on my 18mm to get the full circle. Yes it’s a bit soft around the edges, and there is some chromatic aberration, but you hardly notice it. You just gasp at the effect, then sit back, and enjoy the fact that you have a great tool for claustrophobic locations for less than the price of a decent polarising filter.

I have a nikon dslr and considering how expensive a nikon fisheye lens is (£500+), this fisheye lens adaptor does a good job and is excellent value for money. In addition, the seller provides an additional adaptor ring to cover lens rim sizes between 52 and 72mm, as well as a mini-tripod free of charge.

The lens is perfect but it is a screw thread fitting and as my nikon lens is 72 mm diam it will not fit and to be returned to the suppliers. Meantime i have a sigma 24 – 50mm zoom lens with nikon a1-s manual focus lens that will take my old semi-fish-eye.

I am pleased that i did buy this adapter. Using it with my 18-55mm lens on a nikon d70s the fish eye effect is excellent. Some of the reviews mentioned macro which was another reason why i bought it. Not impressed at all with this aspect but that is a minor detail. One thing i would say is, take care when you unscrew the adapter off your lens. It doesn’t take many turns to release it and i have had a couple of incidents of nearly dropping the thing. For the money – well pleased.

It`s a quality item and does work fairly well, but you really have to stop down to at least f11 or f16 to get everything more or less in focus. It`s worth buying it to see if you like the effect before spending a lot more. A further advantage is that you can use it on other lenses with the same filter ring size, or with step up/down rings with others.

Packaged well, with lens covers for both ends. Screws straight onto the front of my nikon d3100 with the 18-55mm lens, within about 40 seconds i was taking cool fish eye picturesa great buy, well worth the money, i wasn’t expecting it to be this heavy duty for only £50 but i’m really impressed by the quality and value. I think this is probably perfect for the beginner looking for a little fun and i would obviously recommended it. Hope this helps your decision making.

It’s working well on my d3200, came in nice pouch with cleaning cloth and lenses caps. Well packaged and good value.

Bought this for my husband’s birthday and it has proved to be very good. He likes the effect it gives and the picture quality is very good. Amazed at how much picture you can fit in to the shot. The delivery was the only problem, paid for one day delivery which would have been a saturday and waited in all day, but on checking with parcelforce they don’t deliver one day deliveries on saturdays (that would have been an extra charge. After a call to amazon, was refunded the delivery charge and the customer service was very good. Think the system should know that if you are ordering on a friday and it was going to be by parcelforce that you would not get it until monday and say this in the details so that people don’t pay £7. Other than that i was very pleased with the packaging.

Feels a lot sturdier and better overall then the 0. 35 version i had (which came broken). Not expecting amazing results in sharpness, but cant complain at this price :).

New to dslr camera world and just exploring lenses. Not disappointed in any way, amazed with the outcome and very impressed, also product arrived earlier than specified in delivery note. Good surplus attachments for different size of lenses.

Great addition to my camera kit,gives great pictures. Yes i would recomend this product. Nikon lens just to dear,so i bought this instead.

Have used a few times am pleased with the results so far obviously not a true fish eye but for the price a good buy.

Bought this after reading many other reviews, some good, some not so good. Out of the box i was immediately struck by excellent packaging, all metal construction for the adapter (remember this is not a lens in its own right), great little drawstring pouch, step up rings (again all metal construction) individually wrapped, worth noting that as standard this adapter has a 52mm thread so fitted my nikon lenses without step up rings. Used the 58mm ring for my sigma,whilst it isn’t a lens as such (you need a lens to screw it to) it does have optics built in, protected by front and rear lens caps when not in use. I fitted it to my nikon 18-55mm dx kit lens and off i went. Maybe not at the edges in terms of focus, but the effect is fantastic. You can virtually have the lens touching the subject and produce great images in the round. Back off and you can have wide angle with almost no curved edges. This lens is so wide, it is fantastic what you can get in edge to edge and floor to ceiling.

Like one of the earlier reviews this lens is not brilliant, certainly not like the manufacturer writes, but it does a reasonable job, just as long you are not expecting it to be like a stand alone lens. This add on lens, comes with various adapter rings, i used the 52mm, pretty much standerd for the 18 to 55mm lens. 3 rings in all, 58mm the next size i think.

Before buying this product, i read all the feedback on this item, which, to be honest didn’t really help. No one had my camera or my lens so i didn’t really know what it would be like for me. I got this for my birthday, when it arrived (3 days in advance), i thought that you needed to use the mounts for it to fit, when actually, for the 18-55mm lens on the nikon d3100 all you have to do if screw it on your lens. I was more than happy with the result and would recommend this to anyone.The only disappointment is that when you use the integrated flash with the fish eye, you tend to get a reflection on the lens, not a big deal considering i’ll be taking pictures in broad day light. If you’re going to buy this item, i would sincerely recommend you buy a filter for your 18-55mm lens, just in case the fisheye scratches it (doubt it will, but rather be safe than sorry)ps: a lot of people say in their feedback that the lens is blury on the outside, that is not correct, the lens is perfectly clear and a very good qualityhope this helpslucy, 13.

I am an amateur photographer nikon d40 and d40x. Seen fisheye photos before but now i have seen what this great piece of kitcan do i wish i had bought one earlier.

This is the perfect lens if you do not have loads of money to spend. This is because the lens screws straight onto a standard lens and it works really well giving great results overall, would recommend this to anyone who wants a fairly cheap lens to start out with.

This is a great piece of kit, i’ve had some sweet pictures on it. One issue that may just be my ignorance, i cannot see any results if i use a larger leba than your typical kit lens (18-55) when i tried my 55-300 i couldn’t see any difference. Finally it comes with these really handy adaptors to fit all lens.

Received the item well within the stated timescale,had the lens on my nikon d3100 camera. I love it,makes what would be ordinary snaps into something really outlandish. Took a photo of our local rugby league stadium. Well impressed with the result,would recommend the item and seller very highly.

This isn’t specifically for nikon, it will fit any stepping ring, though the focal length will affect the way it looks in photos. The quality isn’t that of a true fisheye lens.

The lens arrived as expected, but using it for the first time at a party with my nikon d7100 it gave a wide angle view but the edges were to distorted for my liking and not really usable pictures. I haven’t tried any of the more expensive wide angle lens but it would be a good change to compare all the same.

I know may professional photographers have few good words to say about this product. I think that for the price it is a great product. It is perfect for a beginner or a keen amateur. When you consider a full fish eye lens can cost £300.

Fun item with multi fittings for d3000, works well, looks good quality for youngster having a good time getting ‘into’ photography.

This is a great lens for someone who doesn’t want to break the bank for a decent lens.

Good product – i unfortunately dropped it before i was able to test it totally.

I am new to this sort of stuff, this is the first add-on lens i’ve bought. The thing i hadn’t realised was that it is a fish-eye when on minimal magnification and a wide-angle when zooming. It meant that indoors there was a bit of blurring around the edges when using the auto-focus on people spread apart. I was also surprised at how close you needed to get to the subject for a full fish-eye, a bit awkward when it was a cat. The pictures from it were great, we look out on a welsh and hills so it allows some amazing early morning mist and sunset pictures. The fish-eye was great fun and provided my kids with new and different facebook profile pictures.

Found it difficult to line it up with the adapter. Bit of extra patience and care and it performs great.

Excellent quality and value at this price. For me, a non professional enthusiast, it gives the perfect degree of ‘fish-eye’ which can be varied by fitting to a zoom lens to give a vast range of creative possibilities. The lens is strongly made and produces good quality results. The adapter rings pouch and cleaning cloth are a useful bonus too.

Excellent realy pleased with the item delivery was very fast.

Good value for price a good beginners lens, slight difficulty in getting to focus out of fish lens focus, but soon worked it out using it as attachment lens for my nikon d3200.

Haven’t stopped using it, it’s really awesome. It came on time, packaged safely and in great working condition. Definately a worthwhile purchase and i would recommend it to anyone.
