DBPOWER Rainbow LED Backlit Gaming Keyboard Mechanical Feeling USB Wired Gaming Keyboard : Not bad

This keyboard is just what i expected. Its still working ok but with having a lighted keyboard i don’t know how long the lights will last for. The colours are nice and i use it for everyday laptop use not gaming as the colours help me relax and chill whilst working.

Lovely to type on and decently bright coloured keys, excellent price and fast delivery.

Bit clunky for my liking as the movement in the keys is quite substantial so if typing fast can often press multiple keys at the same time. For gaming and for the price though, would definitely recommend.

After looking on amazon and reading reviews on youtube decided on this keyboard, really pleased i did. Its very well made and very tactile, types beautifully and the back light makes me wonder why all keyboards like this. Hence to say i am as many others, very pleased will all aspects of this keyboard and would highly recommend.

I really like this keyboard, it is the second one i have brought. I had to buy a second one, as i have two computers up and running and one of then is used by one of my sons, who complained he did not have a light up one. It is easy to change the colour of the back-light and also turn the brightness up, down or off. It just works with no problem, the keys feel comfortable and responsive, as i hoped they would. It is easy to clean, and i can shake most of the mess my boys have made, without having to resort to the vacuum cleaner.

Love the keyboard, having light behind the keys is a huge improvement. Bought as a good alternative to my standard one which came with pc. Only disadvantage in my eyes is the back feet doesnt lift it high enough, the buttons are bit chunky so you need to be more above it. But it’s fast and no issues with connecting or daily using.

Fantastic keyboard, really is, amazing for the price to be honest. I’m gutted as a perfume bottle knocked off a shelve spilt over it and ruined it. Because i’ve never been so upset over a keyboard in my life xd. Beautiful strong colours in the lighted background, easy to change between them and the intensity. Keys are crisp, and the actual board itself doesn’t slip around even on a glass desk thanks to the excellent rubber pads. When i was looking to replace this one, i came straight back to the dbpower brand. Couldn’t find this specific one again intially (amazon cleared order history ๐Ÿ™ ), and the £10 one i got from them is still good quality, but advise you to get this one, it has it all.

Very well built keyboard, with a very nice feeling and great response. Too bad the lights are not more costumizable, but for this price it’s a real bargain, especially if you can wait for it to go on discount.

  • Great Keyboard for a Good Price

  • Excellent, looks stunning with the various lights on too.

  • Pretty good for the price

I’m really pleased with the keyboard. The problem i had with my old one was that i couldn’t see the letters on the keys because of the glare from my computer screen. Now the letters light up, it make typing so much easier. It’s a good keyboard for a proper touch typist – good key spacing and the keys are high. Personally, i can’t type on a flat keyboard (old habits die hard). Each to their own, but i like it. The coloured lights are great too. None of them are too bright that you can’t use the keyboard.

Latency low enough for gaming. Light seepage from underneath keys can be distracting though – plus bright primary colours make it look a bit like a kiddies toy keyboard.

Not had it long so can`t honestly comment on durability, but so far – 6 weeks – of daily use she feels fine and was a plug and play keyboard. Keys are positive and what i thought was a gimmick at first – the illumination – have come to enjoy and now use different colors to change things up abit. Used mainly for word processing and with photo manipulation and design work.

Pretty colours, features all the letters, numbers and characters i need and makes a reasonable clicky noise. It’s not a mechanic keyboard, nor does it sound like one, but it’s nice all the same.

I got the dbpower backlit keyboard as i had bought a new laptop and wanted to get other new bits too; i know, unnecessarily frivolous :). Primarily i use the laptop for web design and office tasks with some occasional gaming; so i liked the ability to swap the wasd keys with the cursor keys with a simple key press. I also liked the easy accessibility to several functions such as the calculator and email (amongst others) via the fn key and a very nice touch was the ability to easily lock or unlock the windows key. The backlighting is good, toggling through the seven colours or turning it off is simple as it is just a repeated press of a dedicated key. I find the backlight very useful at either end of the day as it makes the keys much easier to see; the colours can be dimmed too. Overall i love this keyboard and am glad i bought it as it was very good value. I struggled with whether this was deserving of four or five stars but settled on four due to a couple of things which i felt were lacking. I use the white backlight and always have to toggle through all the colours to reach it when i first turn the computer on; this is not a big chore, but it would be nice if it could remember the last setting whether that be off or a specific colour although i appreciate that maybe the cost would outweigh the benefit. Also i found the keys to be quite high which gives it more of a mechanical feel to it and does mean that more things end up under the keys, dust, hairs etc; although in theory these should be easier to blow our with an air duster. All in all though this is a lovely keyboard which i am definitely pleased that i bought to replace my reasonably basic and somewhat dull microsoft one.

I got this as an emergency keyboard after i lunched my old one. Quite the price drop from the previous one but i needed it quick. Have to say, i’m pretty impressed. Typing feels nice and clicky, which is something i, personally, like. The fact that i can change the backlight colour and intensity, and the fact that it turns off when i turn my pc off (some cheap keyboards that had backlights didn’t) is a bonus. It feels like a fairly sturdy build, not too light that you feel like you might snap it in half but not as heavy as the more expensive keyboard. It has a full range of function keys, a huge bonus for me as well. We’re talking all the media buttons, mute, volume control, pause/play, forward backwards. As well as buttons for email, home and calculator and to top it all up it has lights for the caps, num and scroll lock. Honestly, severely tempted to get another one at a later point as a general back up keyboard for everyone in the house.

I needed a keyboard for a laptop i’m using for work and didn’t want to spend a fortune, but needed big ish keys (big hands) and positive action – the lenovo one i was using was poor to say the least. The name sold it to me – i am a db admin, so a db power keyboard was perfectin the event, the keyboard is robust, with a nice positive action without being clattery, an all round good feel. Very pleased with the keyboard – and cheap too.

Really like this one, soft to medium feel with fairly quiet button presses and that nice clickyness. Leds are really bright when set to high, the build quality surprised me and feels sturdy and strong considering the price. The button swap option between arrows and wsad is a nice little touch too.

Update: this keyboard looka great and functions well, the keys are quiet but not silent (wasnt advertised as silent just worth a mention. ) all the colour settings work which is nice to have the blue to match my other devices. This is a replacement keyboard i got from the sellers and their customer service is top notch, absoutly amazing. ————–recived this in perfect condition. However in all devices i use it in the following keys do not work (y u i o \ n m ,. ? numlock / * – and windows key) unusable.

Heard one review about it causing a ‘bleeding effect’ with the backlit. It almost put me off buying it. Its a great keyboard that doesnt cause that. It feels nice, mechanical like but not actually mechanical. The lights are frankly pretty awesome. It also lights up the keys which is good if you game in a dark space like i do at times. The actual only negative of this keyboard is that the wire on it is quite short. You can get around that with usb extension cables obviously and its not really really short where its impossible but yes it is still a bit short.

Worked perfectly, the patterns were nice but lacked innovation hence the 4 stars but for a basic colour keyboard couldn’t be faulted. The instruction sheet was compact but fairly good which i liked and the keyboard is good enough. One worry i have keyboards keys will wear the letters off with time, not sure have the printing is done on these i suspect it won’t chip but ?wear i don’t know. All in all a pretty good keyboard for the price. On a weeks use i would recommend.

This keyboard works fine on a pc but its a mess on a mac. The letters m, n and many other keys simply don’t work when you press them. I’ve googled and youtubed for help and gone into system preferences on my mac and tried everything everyone has suggested and nothing works. Luckily i have a pc i can use the keyboard with. Not worth the ball ache for mac. Not sure sure why its plays up, but my old cheap £10 pc keyboard works fine on itgo figure.

Bought this on a whim to use alongside my laptop. Was drawn in by the colors(typical) and low price, not expecting to get much for my money at all. It was well packaged, and worked straight out of the box without having to install any drivers etc. Also came with a small leaflet with instructions on how to change the colors and modes, and how to change keys around as the ad said. Feels nice to type on, the keys feel quite big to type on but that’s something i’ve started to like. Very responsive, nice sound when you hit the keys. Would buy again without question.

Dbpower have kindly offered me an updated free unit of this keyboard as part of a customer care follow-up project. I originally bought this keyboard on 26/02/17 so was quite surprised after such a long period. The keyboard has been improved greatly. No windows 10 fast boot up problems concerning the caps lock or num lock this time. Also the spacebar key has been fixed from miss types and loose rocking/wobbling. Typing is still great to say it hasn’t cherry mechanical switches. Regarding the back-lighting, overall brightness is quite even and bright at the highest setting, but on my unit had colour shifting where the left control key is situated. Depending on which colour is selected yellow bleeding occured and was noticeable. Overall this backlit mechanical like keyboard has a good price point compared to the more expensive cherry switched rgb variety, and has a sturdy build with no slip grips. ‘this keyboard doesn’t play nicely with windows 10 concerning the num lock, caps lock led indicators.

I like this keyboard a lot it’s well lit up and has a great choice of backlit key colors the only thing that i don’t like about it is when you choose a color that you want and you want to use every time you switch on you cant for every time that you turn off your computer it reverts back to the start color which is red but it is still a very good buy.

Lights up really nicely the keys are raised and feel nice to type on. I don’t often write reviews however i really like this product i would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a led budget keyboard.

Nice enough, lights are great but its a bit ‘placticky’ if thats a word, just my opinion, worth buying, dont regret it a all, but if it was £10 more with better ‘build quality’ then it would be 5 stars all round. Overall though, great valuse for money.

For the price paid it’s difficult to find fault with this keyboard, it’s illuminated, it works just fine for gaming. The keys are not the sturdiest but it’s acceptable and useable. If your looking at keyboards in this price range you will no doubt be happy with your purchase.

Nice and comfortable although the single colour light up programme sometimes just shuts down – you can have either the pulsating colours or no light at all – until you unplug it and plug it in again.

I have never reviewed anything, i should. Very good quality for the price. Big chunky keys, easy to type on, no annoying “wrist support” thing in the way, big classic sized enter key, and the backlight on the keys is very nice. Very clear when typing in the dark. I’ve been looking for a while to find a keyboard that has all of these things in one, i’m very picky, and i’ve finally found one, and it’s only £12.

I waited a while to review this item as i wondered if the product and features may lose their novelty. It’s a great keyboard with some nice features, particularly for gamers. The customisable backlight is really nice – good colour range. My young daughter is a keen fan of it, and loves to press the dedicated colour choice button. The option to ‘lock out’ the windows key is a boon when gaming, as (of course) is support for switching the cursor keys a/s/d/w). If anything could be improved, it could feel a little less ‘plastic-y’, but this doesn’t really devalue the product, given the price point.

Absolutely loved this when playing online gaming. It is instantly recognised by both my computers with different (windows 7 and 10). I like the quick feature to change the colour illumination so keys are more visible. There are also arrows on the wasd keys so that people new to gaming can see which keys are directional.

I ended up buying 6 different ‘illuminated’ keyboards trying to find one that was any good. All except this one were very poorly / dimly lit even on the brightest setting. This one was also one of the cheapest. The keyboard is clear and bright, nicely responsive, and has a reasonably small ‘footprint’. It is quite heavy too for its size, so no chance of it slipping about. I was impressed enough to buy a second one as a spare.

Wish could give higher than 5 stars. Best budget keyboard on the market and offers 7 colours whereas the others in this price range offer 3. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to buy a cheap gaming keyboard.

I brought couple of cheap keyboards to try out rather than being disappointed by an expensive one. Probably among the better options at the moment for a backlit keyboard currently on amazon. • i thought having a key amongst the keyboard keys would be intrusive but its fine. • i used a more curved keyboard before so the buttons feel a bit blocky and high but probably normal. • the sound is relatively muted compared to most oddly, probably because the keys are firmly attached. • the changing lights is clearly gimmicky but i guess it’s pretty nice being able to change the colour of something to reflect your mood.

I did get it on sale, woudn’t buy it for the original price. Cool colours, feels good to type and responsive. Edit: had it for long time now and still holds up great.

Excellent keyboard which feels solid, has a reassuring key action and works well. The colour schemes – from flashing to breathing etc, almost too numerous to mention – are easily changed and can be quickly toned down to a single steady colour, ideal for serious work in a less brightly lit room. However, if you want to go wild, you can let the colour schemes blow your brains out. Not for me but, hey, the options are there but do not need to be used. Very good value for money and fun to use. It now has a firm place on my desk and i am happy to recommend it.

Back light is nice and bright. I have settled for red, match my bloodlust when killing baddies. Nice clunky feel to the keys, perfect for what i want. A few nice touches such as a keylock for the windows key. Merdekel not involved, shame.
