Great item – does what is required – good fit shame you have to buy eye cup separately – still, if you need this canon dioptric adjustment lens e +2 – with old age eyesight changes – its just the ticket.

I bought this for my brother in law, who is a professional photographer. Does the job very well and was great value.

I bought this product as i was finding that the standard camera adjustment wasn’t quite enough to obtain a sharp viewfinder image. I wasn’t disappointed, it works very well and fits my canon 60d perfectly. The only criticism i have is that i feel the rubber eye cup should come with this product as it is necessary ( canon eb rubber eyecup for dioptric lenses eb). These are both genuine canon products as well and the service received from amazon was their usual first class service.

I would definitely recommend that you set your eye correction on a canon 5d as it has a +3 and a -3 setting range of correction. I had mine set by an optician and it was out. I used the 5d and was able to get a correct reading for my eye. Well worth it if you want a great quality correction lens.

Works well and easy to fit, but ought to come with a rubber surround because i can’t detach the old one from the small plastic frame in order to use it with the new lens.

Fits the canon 70d well, but really should have come with the rubber cover i think. I think i should have got the +1. 5 diop rather than 2 as i have this dialled down at the lowest setting.

Canon dioptric adjustment lens-this is a great product, and has enlarged the scale in the viewfinder for me. One problem is i have a hard plastic viewfinder to look into. [ why 4 and not 5 stars i have tried to fit a canon soft cushion viewfinder over it, and another make , to see if it was ment to fit over the. Dioptric adjustment lens for comfort. I will still use this product as [ cold plastic v the soft rubber cushion ] is not a problem when you can see the scale in the viewfinder,at last my eyes have been opened. I will keep looking to see if there is a product out there, and will let you all know at a later time. ]

I have always had trouble with the dioptric adjustment on cameras not having enough range to match deficiencies in my eyes. The e series of adjustment lenses fit a wide range of canon dslrs my 6d included. I don’t know anything about the theory of dioptric adjustment but common sense told me that i needed a +1 or +2 adjustment so i decided to take a chance on the +2. The lens was very easy to fit. Just lift off the current eyecup and slip the adjustment lens on in it’s place. Now i can get my eye right up to the cup (a new rubber eyecup will have to be purchased as it now has to fit over the adjustment lens holder) and i can use the optical viewfinder normally without spectacles.

My eyesight for reading has deteriorated with age. I find it awkward to use the viewfinder on a canon 5d wearing glasses and without them the standard dioptric adjustment didn’t allow crisp focus. I bought this adjustment lens based on the lens prescription i had received at my last eye test and wow what a difference. The view finder looks bright and by using the standard fitment adjustment wheel i am able to achieve crisp focus. This is without wearing my glasses. I slip them up onto my forehead. I actually prefer to use the viewfinder without my glasses. It ‘fits’ better with your eye. The rubber surround to the adjustment lens for my camera is a separate item but together with postage only come to around £20. Get the correct strength for your own eyesight and you will not be disappointed.

I ordered this item and of course it arrived on time, fitted it to me canon eos 60d and i’m very pleased. I also had to order a canon eb rubber eyecup for dioptric lenses eb, the eb rubber eyecup seems slightly larger then the original one. I would recommend this product to a friend.
