Update:adding a star, and a picture for the guy asking about key colors. The extra star is due to the second one i ordered, still working to this day. Came without having to be smacked into action and other than the paint coming off the keys so that it’s no longer possible to read the keycap (they could all be blank for all i care i don’t need to see them, but it is a potential quality issue for those that do) there have been no issues. Since i kept the original keyboard, i recently swapped over the colored keys and the x key as that had lost its paint completely. Original review:looks really good for the money, standard membrane keyboard and feel. Key edges not as smooth as they could be, get used to this fast though. Keys do indeed have a choice of 3 colours, not remembered (each time restart or unplug have to rechoose, but i liked the red best so not an issue for me). The lighting was bright, again this could be turned down, looked really good in the dark, all the keys glowing a deep red and easily readable. Don’t need any of that though, i just needed a usb keyboard with a disable windows key, which this does.

I did like this keyboard, that was until my daughter reached up to my desk and knocked my drink over. Yeah, water proof and spill proof test did not hold up. Half the keys don’t work and had to buy a new one. I tried taking it apart and dried it all and even put it aside for 2 days but nope, didn’t work so its ready for the bin. Also i wish it would save your preferred lighting background so i didn’t have to change it every time i turned the pc on.

Ares k3 is uk layout but has a $ symbol instead of the £ symbol which is no problem for me anyway. Other than that it look and works great. Would have preferred to be able to have all the keys the same colour when cycling the colors instead of the 3 way split (number pad one colour and middle and left hand side differ in color. Overall i would say worth the money & quick delivery.

I particularly liked the feature that allows you to alter the speed of the keys.

Needed a new keyboard and this fits the bill but doesn’t break the bank. Colour changes bring a bit of bling to my desk.

Great keyboard, well made, nice chunky keys. The leds are a little dim, but then again i don’t spend a lot of time staring staring at it so it’s not a problem.

Great keyboard, depending on my mood depends on the colour i have, today i am light blue. Hahahaanyway, if you want a funky keyboard that looks good, feels good and works perfectly with windows then here’s a good one for you.

But a few problems for me, after a while the lights turn off which is a pain in the dark, also a big disappointment for me is the wasd and arrow keys are not a different colour like in the pictures.

Too me about a week to get use to it but it is a good quality keyboard and in my opinion worth the money. I can’t find a fault so far and very happy with my purchase. The different coloured lit keys are an added bonus and needed in my opinion when my room is dim.

Works quite good after you memorise the hot keys only down side i have found so far is the back light is not as bright as i would like even in a darkened room.

Does the job, brightest is purple.

Just what i wanted and for the price brilliant the colours are good very impressed would recommend for the price.

Feels a bit frail but so do most keyboards, led’s work well, and can be seen very bright daylight.

Perfect for a games keyboard – robust and illuminated for use in low light levels. Changing the led colour is purely cosmetic – i don’t bother. Key travel is a bit ‘chunky’ for normal typing but superb for games.

Love the sound of the clicks. Great for gaming and also work/general use.

Wanted to better see keys in poor light. This looks good, does the job well.

Mine is going through a kvm so few of the shortcut key facilities are available to me. Unusually, the fn key is to the right of the space key, and the symbols sharing the number keys are to the right instead of above. The key lights go out after a period of non use and the brightness, colours and speed levels can be changed. The keyboard is black but the gaming keys aswd and the arrow keys are grey. The number 4 key also has € as well as £.

A great keyboard for the price. Looks pretty good, keys are chunky and nice to type on, and it is easy to configure the back lighting (although the lights are not very bright). Dedicated buttons for play/pause and volume control are welcome. Highly recommended in this price range.

Not the best keyboard, but after nearly a year, i have no problems with it and still works perfectly. Not a mechanical keyboard, but it’s nice to have that 7 colors feature.

Absolutely amazing product and i couldn’t have asked for a quicker delivery it arrived on a sunday aswell which was unexpected but great thankyou so much.

It’s good since i needed a volume control on the keyboard and i wanted a nice fancy looking keyboard and this was the only one i could find with a uk layout. While this is great, i think the keys are too big, it doesn’t tilt high enough, the media keys are a bit awkwardly positioned and as soon as you turn on a desk lamp, the symbols on the keys disappear. I think i will replace it as soon as i find a better fancy one with a uk layout.

Really good for the price and was easy to get up and running.

Working really well so far, absolutely loving it and gob-smacked i got such a great keyboard so cheap. It’s actually survived numerous drink spills (i had a clumsy streak of drink spilling recently for some odd reason) and this one seems to be a real fighter when it comes to resisting spills. Granted, i was lot more careless with my keyboards the past so i can’t really speak all that much but this product does seem to be the real deal. I find it easy to use, love the multi-coloured glow scheme, you can easily switch between the 7 colours via the fn + tab keys pressed down and have had no problems so far. Genuinely sems to be the best keyboard i’ve used in all my experience with computers.

A little tall/thick compared to a standard keyboard. Seems well constructed and nice choice of colour backlighting. Onlydownside i can see with ‘normal’ use. The lighting turn off too quickly. Might be a setting somewhere, so may well just me :).

Nicely built and lit, and arrived quickly, but without instructions; so i’m still mystified as to how to change the colour (if indeed you can) or how to dim/brighten it (the keys at the top that would appear to be for it don’t do anything). However, the existing red is fine, and it may be the fact that i’m running linux rather than windows. It takes up a bit more real-estate that my previous keyboard, but it feels solid and i’m certainly happy with it for £15. If it had come with instructions, i would have given it 5 stars. [edit and i finally found some, so now i can have whatever colour i like, including a really neat mauve. For anyone else who needs it, the important combinations are: fn+esc (brightness), fn+tab (colours, which include a ‘cycle’ mode). I’ve therefore changed my rating to 5 stars, because it really is very good value for money. ]

I am not using this for gaming, but it is proving vastly superior to a standard keyboard. I have the seven colour version, the box is marked k3. Illumination excellent – no problem seeing the legends on the keys, even in bright daylight. One small niggle, i like using the bright green or purple colours, but i can’t seem to find a way to stop it from reverting to red on boot-up. Not a problem to reset it though. Only been in use for a few days, so will keep fingers crossed on the reliability front. Well priced and extremely fast delivery. Update: less than 7 months after purchase, it’s typing gobbledygook. So yesterday, i bit the bullet and ordered a boring logitech k120 which will be lit by something called a desk lamp.
