Roccat Kone Pure Core Performance Gaming Mouse – Great product

Works well on linux (debian) with the drivers / software that can be downloaded.
2nd time buying this mouse as first one finally started breaking down after 4 years of heavy use. Pros:- light- macro functions. I generally bind the combo keys to f1-f6 and map game keys accordingly. Software works and provides stats (number of clicks, distance traveled) as well allowing heavy customization and profiles. It has suggested button combos for most modern games. – key for temporary dpi reduction for sniping. – extremely accurate- seems to work on any surface. Completely white table is not a problem. Cons:- eventually loud scroll wheel.
Absolutely perfect value for money. Superb mouse with huge amount of tweaking options allowed in the software, which is again small enough not to clutter up your system. Smooth performance and fits perfectly in normal sized hands. Thumb rests perfectly on the designed curve, all the buttons are easy to reach and the mouse glides perfectly on the mat. A great feature is the ability to adjust distance sensitivity, which can be set so low that as soon as you slightly lift the mouse to readjust the position it won’t track that movement, making it perfect for gaming or designing.
Got one of these for my son who is an avid gamer and he loved it. I was also looking for a replacement mouse and had tried several but couldn’t find one. I tried this mouse out on my sons computer and found it very comfortable. Its a little smaller than i would have preferred but got used to it very quickly. Its very precise and the accuracy makes it a breeze to use. The software that comes with it seems overkill for my use but i’m sure gamers will adore the huge number of features and functionality. The design is also neat, enough buttons to make it useful but without the massive overkill you get on some models. Not just a great gaming mouse but also for the more relaxed user like myself.
I have decided to buy this mouse as a replacement for my decapitated kone (first one). For a long time i couldn’t decide between pure and xtd, finally i got tempted with slightly smaller size of pure to find it the best mouse i owned up to date. The build quality is outstanding, you immediately don’t want to take your hand off this mouse :)versatility is faultless, i’m using hard surface pad usually (razer sphex) and from time to time textile mouse pad (roccat hiro), i have tried to use it as well on bare desk’s surface and the mouse is just working like a dream on any of these surfaces and large sliders underneath are allowing for an effortless and lightning quick reactions. Driver software allows you to set various parameters, set macros and adjust/turn off light, or you can just not touch it and just enjoy the mouse itself. The only downside might be a weight. This is fairly light mouse without weight adjustment system, in connection with braided cable which is a little bit stiff you might find that the mouse cursor is drifting slowly on the screen when mouse is left on its own and cable is pulling. It’s not much of an issues for me but might cause some people to think about a mouse bungee to keep it in place. Mouse is just perfect for any gamer or just a person who wants a good and comfortable mouse.
Really nice mouse, very happy with the purchase.
-
Sounds like when 2 gears barely touch and one of them
-
Otherwise the sizing of the mouse is perfect for medium large hands
-
Great mouse for fingertip grippers

The best gaming mouse i’ve ever owned. Edit: date is 26/01/2018 and i’m still using the same mouse i bought in 2014. Used it pretty much everyday for nearly four years.
Don’t listen to anyone who spews the taboo that laser gaming mice are bad. It tracks perfectly and the easy shift is great.
Really good mouse however not every game is supported for macro’s.
This is the best mouse ever must buy.
Brilliant mouse, had to replace my old one as the left click had worn out after 2 years of use, had managed to clock in around 2. Just a brilliant all round mouse, couldn’t ask for more.

Decent enough control, although wish i had stuck with the rat5 i had previously.
I’ve had this mouse for a while now and completely reccomend it. Not only is the dpi great, the smooth texture of the mouse adds to a much more enjoyable gaming experience.
Almost a year old, haven’t even considered changing it yet.
Really nice to use in long game sessions.
Purchased this mouse about 5 years ago and is still going strong today, no signs of wear or tear and has been heavily used since purchased.
Small hand, claw grip, female. Could not be happier with this mouse. It comes with a long threaded cable and the slightly rubbery soft texture does not feel like it will warn out any time soon, after months of use. For full features and reviews do look up their official website and independent reviewers.

Been using this mouse for a long time now, no issues however the bundled software is annoying. It shouts at you how many times you’ve clicked when you hit big milestones lol i also find the light on it annoying so i turned it off which is easy to do but many gamers lover leds. By far the best mouse i’ve used and would re buy in future if needs be.
This product was an absolute headache for the first few days. First of all, my item was a warehouse item so i was expecting problems but not software based. Hardware issue was a manufacturing fault, for what i assumed the last customer returned this item for. There was a piece of plastic linking the right and left click buttons causing one to trigger the other when pressed. Had no idea why this was happening until i pried them apart. 30 seconds of filing solved this issue. My reasoning for the 3 star review is the software. Every time you tried to apply a new setting or the macros or scrolling the software would freeze and crash or endlessly load. Had no idea why this was happening for days until i white-listed it from my antivirus and windows itself and disabled live protection from windows defender then finally it would apply. Otherwise the sizing of the mouse is perfect for medium large hands, built for a palm grip.
Couldn’t care less about the achievement system (though it does have the hilarious benefit of shouting the dpi when notched up with increasing intensity)comfertable and glides on most surfaces, also the material it’s made out of is fantastic. A top quality and worth while purchase.
5 stars because it’s been in every day use for 2 years and shows no sign of wear. I’ve been using this for every day general use on a ‘hg-tosh’ apple with mavericks and el capitan. Also used in windows dual boot for games, can get complex setting up all the buttons in the software screen, hardened gamers will be ok with it. The mouse is on the smaller size of average and of medium weight i’d say and one of the better shapes i’ve used. I will buy another for spare computer if price drops.
Bought a roccat kone pure over 2 years ago, having been used daily (first year ~42km mouse movement) it still works just as fine as it did when i first tried it. Will buy another once my current one dies (so in about 4 years :d).
I’ve been through too many mice to count but could never find that perfect mouse. I’ve tried mice from steelseries, zowie, razor, cm storm, logitech but could never find a mouse that was very comfortable for a fingertip grip. I also should mention i have quite big hands. After doing some research i heard about this mouse by roccat. Although the mouse is designed to fit most grips, it works great for a fingertip grip. It’s quite small and light, so is easy to lift and move but what sets this mouse apart from others i have tried in the past are the grooves and shape on the sides. The groove on the inside on the mouse where your thumb rests is perfect for a fingertip grip, it creates a narrow grip between your thumb and fingers that rest on the other side of the mouse. At the same time the top of the mouse is still quite wide and my fingers rest perfectly on mb1 and mb2.
ROCCAT click master, switch tech powered by Omron

Never used a better mouse than this. Fits my (rather small) hands perfectly, good dpi changing settings, and the side buttons add nice shortcut functions. The driver software is a bit naff, but otherwise i have had no problems. Braided wire is nice, because that was the downfall of my roccat lua mouse.
I have been using both kone pure mouse and kone xtd and i should really point out what’s good about pure and what’s not when compared with other mouse especially the xtd. Firstly, kone pure is a small mouse. I felt cheap from the first touch too. If you have rather a big hand (say, a length from your wrist to the tip of your second (middle) finger is roughly 16cm), then there is a chance that your third finger gets hurt after a while of using it. I do hurt my third finger (the left side of the finger). This is because of the design issue on the right side of the mouse where you can’t rest your third and the little finger. Many reviewers of this mouse failed to point out that this mouse is roughtly 30 – 40% smaller than kone xtd overall. This mouse is a little flat too. My fingers are not long too.
Purchased exact same model for another pc one year ago and love it, so purchased again for my new pc. Software download from manufacturers website and once done it is very easy to programme exactly to your own gaming/usage style.
The accuracy and build quality from this small mouse is excellent and if you have small hands then this mouse is almost perfect. It doesnt have many programmable buttons, its a nice simple gaming mouse. The light, which you can customize is also quite cool, especially at night. For me the main part that let it down was its size, just a touch too small for me. But if you need a laptop mouse or have small hands or just prefer a smaller mouse then i’d say this was as close to perfect as you are going to get.
Very comfortable to use and lots of button customisation and game profiles available via the software. The braided cable is nice too. I’ve been using it months now without any problems. Click sounds are normal not quiet.
Sadly though after using it for 5 or so days i decided to take it with me to a friends. Decidedly the clicks of the mouse will not register on my pc along with all my profiles resetting and not being able to change them at all. However mouse movement and cursor functionality works still.
I brought this mainly for bf4 and arma 3. This mouse is great for all games i have found. The micros are great you can create micros for almost anything, there are presets for wow, fps and some others for windows. This mouse is good if you use it for gaming and internet browsing because of its quick dpi changer. The mouse buttons are light and have a short click and the wheel is ok, i bit heavy for me but you can change the scroll speed.
ROCCAT Easy-Shift[+] button duplicator technology
Worked well for first few days. Now it stutters all the time.
This would have got 5 stars but mine has just started having problems after 6 months of us, it appears it may have a wire break, the wire is actually corded so i wasn’t expecting this at all, however amazon have been very good and have sent a replacement immediately. I am a fps gamer for over 10 years now, most of that time spent on w:et both fun playing with my clan and also in arranged wars, as a result i have had many mice and mats in combinations. I have to say that this mouse is probably the best i have had regardless of the problem stated above. Its settings software is second to none, its sensor is flawless and works on any surface i have tried. Its non slip style coating is also great as well as the mouse shape. Far better than any razer mice i have had which includes the deathadder.
This is truly the best mouse i have ever brought. It’s a very good looking mouse and the build quality cannot be knocked. Its also very comfortable, and the design and feel is very satisfying. For the price it’s well worth the buy. If you play cs:go i would definitely suggest getting this mouse, i use the awp most the time and i believe this is idea because the click on the mouse is very sensitive.
I have owned this for over 2 months now and love everything about it, perfect for gaming and thanks to being so adjustable and well shaped its also perfect for just about anything else you use your pc for, far far superior to the old microsoft sidewinder that it replaced not because it failed but because the rubber wheel had degraded and gone sticky, the last time i purchase a microsoft mouse, after a month of owning this i bought a roccat keyboard to go with it.
Small in size, good for most grips, maybe less so with palm grip. Nice for people with small to medium hand. Nice slick design, love the glowing logo. Sensors work very well and you can set dpi to whatever value you want (up to 8200), and there are more than 5 presets. The only slight fail is the build quality. It is by no means bad, but it is not rock stability like a razer deathadder. Would recommend, but can be built better.
