MIONIX Naos 3200 : Will take a lot to make me change mouse again
I bought the mouse in october 2016 and have used it since for shooters and general pc use. The middle mouse button no longer responds to my presses unless i apply a lot of strength. This button probably has a lower lifetime than the primary mouse buttons but it’s still disappointing (and annoying). The company didn’t provide me with a replacement when i requested one because i was out of the 2-year warranty period. They suggested that i buy a new mouse instead. I would recommend alternative products from corsair or steelseries because it seems the mionix is now end of life.
After 8 years, i upgraded my microsoft laser mouse 6000. I was a little unsure of how good this mouse would be – there seems to be few choices for ergonomic gaming mice. I splashed out the readies on this beasty (its not cheap). I am thus far very pleased with the purchase. It fits my hand excellently, better than my previous one, which i thought was going to be hard to beat. I use a ‘hybrid’ palm/finger grip – with my base of hand and side of pinkie resting on the mousemat. It seems to suit this style of use very well. The non-slip coating underneath is is surprisingly slippery, more than i expected. The grip coating is very pleasant, with a slightly powdery/rubbery/silky feel to it. Its also not as creepy as that sounds.
I bought this after struggling to use a logitech g403 in fps gaming. It was/is a great mouse, but my palm is broad so it wouldn’t naturally sit straight which made gaming awkward. My hand is 8″ from tip to wrist and a 9. This mouse fits me so much better, although would probably suit people with a slightly longer palm than i have. There are only 4 slight downsides i’ve encountered that are worth mentioning and drop it 1 star. 1) the thumb buttons are a bit too far forward and could be thicker and rounder for easier operation. 2) the buttons behind the scroll wheel are a bit too far back and are oddly shaped. If you can reach the thumb buttons then you can’t get to the wheel buttons. Fine if you hardly use them though.
Previously a logitech fan my g500 gave up the ghost and the two g500s’ logitech sent me both suffered from a high pitched capacitor whine (lots of talk online about this). Thus i decided to branch out and seek a new mouse as i feel logitech have lost their way. I came to mionix, that i hadn’t heard about before but a quick look on the forums reassured me they were a high end brand of quality products for gamers. So after a bit of research i settled on the 7000 series as it uses a truly awesome optical sensor, whereas their 8200 series uses a laser sensor. Being a righty and a bit of a palm gripper i went for the naos 7000. I’ll say now i’ve been very impressed from the minute i saw the neat package to actually using the mouse. As mentioned the mouse comes in a neat little box and the software is downloadable on their website. There’s a 2 metre braided cable and in hand the mouse feels great. It has a soft touch coating that i imagine overtime may wear a bit. The mionix logo and scroll wheel both light up and their colour can be changed or just turned off in the software.
I bought this mouse to replace my old logitech g9, below is my review:looksi think the mouse itself looks really good. It has a smooth, matte black rubber coating all around it and an illuminated logo, as well as leds showing the current dpi level and an led behind the scroll wheel (which unfortunately isn’t diffused properly when looking at it from certain angles). All of this makes for a sober look, but not a dull one, courtesy of the multicolour leds. It has notches on the right side of the mouse, one for your pinkie and one for your ring finger. It might initially look like quite a big mouse, but it isn’t really. It is as long as my old g9, a bit wider (mainly because of the finger rests) and with a lower hump. Featuresit has the new avago 9800 sensor, which supports dpi settings up to 8200 and omron switches. It features polling rates up to 1000hz, an adjustable lift distance (the distance between your mouse and the surface at which the sensor stops tracking movements), s. (surface quality analyser tool, which is used to calibrate the mouse for use on a specific surface) and multicolour leds. It features two thumb buttons and two dpi buttons and that’s it as far as extra buttons go. There is no weight-tuning present. Softwarethe driver itself is not included in the packaging and you’ll have to download it from the mionix site.
Nice sturdy mouse, as has been mentioned by many it is extremely comfortable to use. I have small hands and find some mice too big, but this is nice, for instance i have found razer and such too big for my hands, but not this one. All the clicks and buttons feel nice and solid. The included software on the other hand, is crap. I had to download an open source program to rebind the extra mouse buttons as the included software just wouldn’t work. The only other thing was that i upgraded from a logitech g5, a shame they don’t make those anymore as it was a great mouse. The g5 is a laser mouse and worked on my white desktop surface. This mionix is optical so i’ve had to start using a mouse surface. Hasn’t really affected me greatly so all in all i would still recommend this mouse based on it’s price i doubt you’d get much better.
Great mouse with great sensor, i love the shape and size and i like the slightly lighter weight. I dislike the finish which feels very plasticy vs other mice at this price, the scroll wheel feels a bit inconsistant and when it was first installed and when you move its usb port it crashes my pc repeatedly, this was fixed by unplugging it turning on the pc logging in and letting it boot then pluging it in which is a shame bacause when it gets going and get used the the wheel its a great mouse but definitly isnt flawless.
I bought this mouse for a few reasons;i personally like to have all my fingers accommodated in a mouse grip, i don’t like having my middle finger on the scroll wheel. This is perfect, i can put my index on left, middle on right, ring on the grip and little on the grip, instead of having my middle uncomfy on the scroll wheel, or my little dangling. I also bought it for its simplicity and comfortable look – its nice in both palm and claw gripit looks mean, works solidly, haven’t had any problems with it, the on the fly dpi sensitivity adjuster is great, and complete with my mionix sargas 900, it’s my dream teamno need for the higher dpi or the weights if you ask me, (although it might be nicer a tad heavier), this one is just perfect, not to mention you can rest your fingers on the buttons rather than have to float above them like you have to with some of the more sensitive gaming mice. My only complaint, and it is slight and feeble and picky, is that it feels and sounds a little hollow. Sound of the click isn’t as meaty as it could’ve been.

Started with a corsair vengeance, excellent for most things including gaming, but the centre scroll wheel was no use for cad work, it was too loud and clunky. Then i tried a logitech m500, and the scroll wheel on that was worse, totally unusable. Bought a penguin, it’s a good piece of kit but difficult to control for delicate game design work. In desperation i tried a cheap microsoft mouse, but when i clicked sometimes nothing happened. Drove me so mad i smashed the stupid thing to bits. I’ve spent weeks reading reviews about the ‘perfect’ mouse, and have spent over £200 on the damn things, and still hadn’t found one that would just do the job. Geez, why can’t the world just make things that work??. This thing arrived today and it does the job. It’s an absolutely cracking all round good mouse, and it seems to be exceptionally well built.
I use it for counter strike, it auto jumps once every few hours, good mouse, but overrated. Personally i think logitech and zowie gear has the best gaming gears in terms of quality. I had 5 steelseries ikari through out my years of counter strike, poor quality but i love the shape too much, this mouse aint a good sub for ikari.
Here are my thoughts on this mouse after using it listed in good and bad points. Bare in mind these are my own points and may affect you differently or not at all. ***good***+ high quality feel+ looks good+ ring and pinky finger rest+ leds not even which give the lighting a nice depth to it+ healthy mouse wheel***bad***- lacking grip texture- yellow and white leds are weak, the green lights lovely only on the default setting, by exploring other colours i could not get it back to the default green no matter what i did- despite ergonomics, still flat on the left side. This means the natural elevation of the hand due to the thumb does not rest but hovers. – software is poor and did not let me map function keys on my keyboard, despite recognising the “volume up/down” function. – not for gamers due to laser sensor. Laser lets you use it on a wider variety of surfaces however optical sensors are what are more suitable for games as lasers do not work well with mousemat- expensive for what it is in my opiniondespite all the criticisms i opted for this mouse over logitech’s g502 because of the superior comfort as that is what is most important to me.
This mouse (as first impressions go) is very high quality and arrived earlier than expected :)+ has a 4 layer coat of some really nice rubber which is smooth to the touch and very grippy. + the mouse will probably fit all hands (i’m a teenager with medium sized hands and works with it like a charm, i’d go as far to say it’s a perfect fit). + has a groove on the right side of the mouse for the ring finger to rest and for the little finger to lean against. + the lights are very nice, the defualt light (green) is extremely high quality looking, it has no visible area where you can see the inside of the mouse leaking through the little parts for the lights and there are lots of other programmable lights where you can change to ‘pulsating’, ‘breathing’ or ‘solid’. I currently have it to ‘colour-shift’ where it goes through all the different colours throughout the scheme. + it has 3 levels for dpi change where you can set it from 200 dots-per-inch to a big and very sensitive 8200 dots-per-inch with it’s top-range avago sensor. Also the dpi level indicator on the right side of the mouse follows your chosen colour. + the right and left click feel are a tad, bit sensitive which aren’t a bad thing since you’ll most likely get used to it as i am. + nice tefflon feet for effortless glide. + programmable side, ‘forward and back’ click buttons aswell as the basic ‘left, right’ buttons and ‘mouse wheel’ click with scroll.
Lots of settings to tweak and customize to your liking. Comfortable to hold, especially for larger hands like myself. Clicking the mouse feels very nice and overall the mouse feels sturdy and zero wheel squeak as you get with other pc mice after a lot of use. Has various light settings including an option to create your own colour. Responsive, comfortable and looks really nice.
My first of these (3200) lasted me six years of intense gaming and was the most comfortable, durable and responsive mouse i ever owned. I finally had to replace it (after it moved across countries with me 2 times, too) this year and there was absolutely no doubt in my mind that i wanted the same model again. I absolutely swear by this and didn’t care that it’s now a few models behind. Mionix are far better than more popular, rival brands, often for a lot less money. From the dpi to the design to the cable to the box it comes in, this mouse is beautiful and fantastic quality. Very short review, but i feel like i finally owed this baby some credit.
My mouse was on blink, so had to consider buying new mouse. Looked at few different mice, and this reviewed very well. Considered some more expensive ones with extremely high dpi settings, and some cheaper ones with similar settings, but this looked very well designed ergonomically, and i have read that these higher dpi settings make little difference to average gamer, and i’m probably not as good as your average gamer even. Unpacked it and there’s little in box tbh, just the mouse and well. Plugged it in and worked off the bat with windows 8. I like fact you can change dpi easily with buttons on top, as my brother always changes it to lower settings to play league of legends (drives me crazy). Mouse is very comfortable, but takes bit to get used to, as it’s very much designed to fit contours of your hand, and to be comfortable over prolonged gaming. Buttons feel smooth and responsive, the wheel feels solid and smooth, not lose and cheap, like my old cyborg mouse. Haven’t messed with the software yet, but seems better than the saitek programmable software , and can see that just by quick look, as it seems clean and easy to use, although maybe it lacks some of the more complex settings, but don’t quote me on that. Probably doesn’t have as many buttons as some mice, and doesn’t have the higher dpi settings that some gamers might demand, but i’m not in market for either of those things. This has what i want and need from a mouse, with decent amount of buttons, decent level of dpi settings, and a high build quality. Only reason i didn’t give it a 5, is it feels slightly too big for my hand, and realistically, this isn’t fault of manufacturer, i just have small hands. Great mouse, and worth the extra money i spent on it over competing products within a £10-15 radius.
This mouse shape is amazing. I only hope the seller takes my feedback seriously and considers all of it for the next product. The size of this mouse is l if they could make it between s and m 90% of its current size and reduce the weight with that by as much as possible maybe 10-15 grams. This mouse will be liquid gold to own. Sensor the sensor seems to work well except that your logo at the bottom scratches 3 different mouse pads i own. Its a bulging mionix logo and it scrapes the mouse pad making the mouse unusable. Buttons are so nice and crisp keep them that way but please do try to elevate the index/pointing finger a bit and kepe the right long as it is now. Maybe a 10% curve for the left finger to the right. Overall 6/10 amazing mouse if your very large hand is around 20cm to 10cm width.
Pros:-high and ajustable dpi. -awesome software (needs to be downloaded from official webpage)-vergy good building quality. -good price for the quality. -lots of led colours (visual look)cons:- holding the mouse, straight away after purchase can be littlebit unconfrotable, but you need just to get use to it.

I love the ergonomics of this mouse and absolutely adore the rgb led’s too. If you are confused of how to change the colour of the led’s, then just head to the mionix website and download the software for your mouse.
Ergonomics is good but the mouse profile is low so it doesn’t fill the palm as good as mx518. Mouse wheel feels a little cheap and the rubber doesn’t stick to it properly so sometimes it catches my finger which is annoying. Apart from these minor shortcomings, the mouse works flawlessly and is very precise. I’m using it for lightroom and photoshop where it really shines, and various dpi settings make it very functional.
Very precise, works on nearly every surface very comfy but the settings are limited (have to get older brother to get passed fixed settings)has they are prefixed settings 800 1600 3200 dpi for me not so much a problem has i game bf at 1600 but it may be a problem for othersi love this mouse and i usually use my func ms 3 r2 but for next few weeks i shall use miniox 3200 ,has for me i personally find for first few weeks you have to get used to them but so far no gripes and its very comfy and precise.
I got this mouse to use primarily for 3d and cad and have grown to really like it. Ergonomics are good for me and the tracking is precise and accurate. Buttons are programmable and stay with the mouse. The (downloadable) software allows setting dpi and macros on the buttons. Interestingly, the mouse settings are stored in the mouse and should therefore suit users who swap the mouse between multiple pcs. Annoyingly, after a couple of months the mouse wheel started to squeak. To fix this i had to disassemble and lubricate the mouse and this meant removing the ptfe ‘feet’ glides, which basically destroys them. Luckily these are available as a replacement part. Problems like this should not happen with a ‘quality’ product. I’ve knocked a star off the rating because of this.
First of all, the mouse sits very well in hand (my hands are fairly small) with palm grip due to its ergonomic shape. It really lets your whole palm rest comfortably on the mouse. Also the build quality seems pretty high. It has two x-buttons on the left side in a pretty convenient location, both in good reach of your thumb and also two buttons behind the scroll wheel for controlling dpi, which can be configured through the mionix mouse software. Unfortunately there are only three dpi steps that you can assign values to, of which there are also three, pre-set. The values being 800, 1600 or 3200 dpi. While we still are on the subject of software, i think i’d say the mionix mouse software is fairly straightforward and has all the basic settings you’d need but it lacks some advanced settings if – for example – we compare it to logitech gaming software. Overall it gets the job done. The reason i give this mouse 4 stars instead of 5 though, is because:#1 the scroll wheel button (mouse 3) feels pretty light to the touch, it requires minimal pressure to click and therefore can sometimes result in accidental presses when scrolling the mouse wheel. #2 the sensor has slight acceleration which is pretty annoying to me personally (but i got rid of it almost completely using a software fix i found online).
Like another recent reviewer, i bought this mouse after a func ms-3 failed. While it still worked properly, the func was the best mouse i have ever used and still is. This mionix mouse is at least the equal of it in most respects, except ergonomics, for me. Unfortunately, although of roughly similar shape, the mionix does not fit my big hand as well and the shape just doesn’t suit me. This is a purely personal thing though and in every other respect this is an excellent mouse.
Extremely pleased with this, i saw others where saying their hand doesn’t fit it, but it fits mine perfectly which was my only worry. I got to say its utterly brilliant in comparison to what i have used before especially for the sale price (£35). The software is downloaded off the website and its pretty self explanatory. You can do some nice vanity things with the lighting inside and changing the switch binding is easy as pie. The build quality is lovely and it has a nice weight to it with the buttons being firm and having a nice responsive click to them, something i like in my mouse. I’ve seen people comment that lasers can be very iffy on the surface they are used on, i’m having no issues and i am using a sketchbook as a mouse mat at the moment. Their are also some in-depth macro making but i haven’t gone into that yet. But it seems relatively easy to set up and easy to link to each profile. So ill be trying this for my rts’s and moba’sall in all this is an awesome buy, id say if you are looking at this while its on sale , take the plunge and go for it. I havnt regretted it since i have brought it.
I love this mouse – great combination of comfort (finger rest) and functionality. Not too complicated (other mice have far too many buttons imho). Great for everyday use as well as gaming – a true all rounder. Quality is excellent, no gimmicks, no weights and just the right amount of lighting (blue/green/red or off). The finger rest takes a little getting used to but once you’ve used this mouse for a few days you’ll never go back, lol. Great for those with big hands (like me). I use this mouse with a corsair mm400 compact hard plastic gaming mouse pad. Highly recommended combination.
Are you either a designer, gamer or anyone looking for a truly ergonomic mouse to relieve your finger rsi problems?have you looked at these other ergonomic mice but realised they wouldn’t be suitable due to speed and control?zelesouris wired ergonomic vertical mouseevoluent ergonomic verticalmousehandshoe medium right handed light click wireless mouselogitech g502 proteus core tunable gaming mousei suffer from rsi in my right index finger on the third knuckle. I purchased this mouse mionix naos 7000 and the logitech g502 proteus core at the same time. Liked them both but the logitech was too small for my hand. The naos 7000 fits the hand like a glove, and the soft touch click helps a lot with my claw mouse holding approach. I use it for both graphic design and gaming. Excels at both on the razer goliathus speed mouse mat. Mionix is a bit of an underdog it would seem. But although quiet, i have to say that the naos 7000 is perfect for those looking for a perfect fit for their hand combined with easy soft clickiness.

A good premium mouse:the mouse looks the part, not to flashy and quite subtle and professional and the smooth rubber coating is conformable and hard-wearing. It has an led logo, leds showing the dpi level and an led scroll wheel. The rgb leds are a nice feature and the separate leds can be programmed different colours. It has a rest on the right side of the mouse, for your little finger and ring finger. It is a medium sized mouse, smaller than a func-ms3 ( a comparable mouse) but bigger than my old r. T 3, unlike these mouses though it has a 8200 dpi sensor,. And has a polling rate of 1000hz, unlike the lower end mionx mice, it does not have adjustable weights and may not suit all, however has a customisable lift of distance for twitch shooters and fast reaction games and a poor surface analyser tool that can auto set some settings that are rarely correct, the software (off mionx’s website) is very customisable and works with all their products. Edit: 4 years on and this mouse is still going strong, the rubber coating is still in place and all the drivers are still working 100%edit 2: so at the end of the 4 years it’s finally died, about what i expected really with heavy usage so i’d still recommend the product.
When i first started using it it was very slippy as there is no grip texture or rubber siding, but after a week or the surface developed a better grip. The software is straight forward to use but;- you are limited to 5 profiles- there is no linking profiles to an executable ( i really miss this feature i enjoyed with synapse)- there are limitations to assigning keyboard functions to the mouse wheel. Braided cord seems a bit thicker than razer mice so really had to force into cable holder, but nothing wrong with it. The side buttons are a bit cheaper than rest of the buttons and feel a bit to easy to press – but this is ofc personal preference. The shape does force you into a palm grip and i do like to switch between palm and tip, but i knew this was a possibility going in.
Quite large and flat, really only suitable for palm grip use despite extremely ergonomic shape. Downloadable software is straightforward and free from bloat. Settings pretty extensive, with rgb, poll rate, surface analysis, macros, multi profiles etc. Dpi buttons can only be programmed to three different dpi settings tho’ and no dpi downshift option to program a ‘sniper’ button.
Very good mouse, with good responsiveness and accuracy, and moves across my mat smoothly without being too sluggish or hard. My only issue, possibly a personal preference, is that the shaped areas on the right add left could do with being extended a bit more so that you can more easily relax your full hand on the mouse without either needing to ‘grip’ the mouse too much or dragging fingers onto the mouse mat. Buttons and wheel are well positioned and feel well put together, as does the unit overalldecent length cable too.
I have gone through just about every gaming mouse, razor’s corsair etc and all failed in some way. This however really floats my boat. My gaming accuracy in fps has gone up in leaps and bounds. It fits my hand (largish) perfectly and glides around without deviation. You can program the colours to suit your hearts desire and the perfectly placed buttons are crisp and responsive. The finish is a delightful grippy rubber affair which despite my sweaty hands has remained unblemished. If you only ever buy one gaming mouse in your life get this, it won’t disappoint.
This mouse is an absolute beast. Been using it for about a month now. Previous mice have included the cmstorm xornet (the mouse that this one replaced) and the steelseries ikari. The ikari, like this mouse, is really ergonomic and encourages a relaxed, palm grip. The xornet is more of a claw grip. Having gotten used to the xornet (but always having missed the feel of my old ikari), coming to the naos is like returning to an old friend. The software included with the mouse is also awesome. I am very picky about my mice and this one is a prince among men. The only negative thing i can say is that compared to the xornet, the resolution switcher (i. ‘sniper’ button) is a bit awkward to reach. I’ve gotten used to it, but it definitely isn’t as easy to use as the xornet’s.
Great ergonomics and very decent build quality. 800dpi: totally unusable, there is a terribly large amount of positive acceleration1600dpi: very good tracking performance. No acceleration detected, very usable. 3200dpi: no acceleration detected.

Bought this mouse after three of four others and after countless hours of searching. I enjoy mostly moba games, but i dwell into pretty much everything that seems interesting from time to time. The main problem is i have with most mice is that they just do not fit in my palm. I have pretty big hands and i dread having to drag my pinky finger around the mousepad just because there is not enough space on the mouse. After much searching i found this mouse. People praised it for its functionality and its ergonomics and i thought i would give it a go. After only a few hours after receiving it i was convinced it would take something very special to make me change my mouse again. The thing is perfect , with not one but two indentations for the two rightmost fingers. It is big enough for my palm to sit comfortably on top and while personally i would not mind it being even a bit bigger, i understand it would be pointless for most people. The mouse itself is excellent and i have had no problem with it since i bought it.
I take every day with me to work, so not really about gaming. The shape and weight are perfect and i no longer can use any other “regular shaped mouse”. I can use it at work without looking like a “nerd” as its quite “low profile” even more when you turn all the leds off. The software is easy to use and to setup, and the mouse will take those settings with him since it has internal memory which is good if you use it on several different pcs. The buttons are noisy and clicky but good, the side buttons have a nice feel to them.
