Corsair CH-9000224-UK K30 Backlit Gaming Keyboard – Great keyboard for its price

Absolutely amazing keyboard. Have been using it for a month, typing experience and speed is beautiful. Love the feel of the keys, they make a satisfying noise too. Macro keys are useful, but what’s more useful is the volume and media keys.

Only complaints are that keys started sticking after less than a year of non intensive use and that the software was coded by satan on a 12 day amphetamine bender. Ergonomic enough and very solid performance once you get past the nightmarish hellscape that is corsair software.

Not a fan of the silver wasd keys, or the custom g keys down the left side. It’s a good price, but i would pay extra and get a k70 next time.

For the price its a pretty awesome keyboard. Keys look high but it actually feels good. Not really any negatives to say. If you really wanna be picky the caps lock light is blinding if you look directly at it. But you wouldn’t really do this lol.

The felling on this keyboard is just awsome. The keyboard got the same shape of high end expensive keyboars of the same brand but for a little price. It just has red led backlight wich can be switched off or turned on 3 different brightness. The keyboard has macro buttons, and multimedia buttons.

I like the looks of it and the g keys are easy to program and they work. Some negatives compared to me old ps/2 keyboard (which i had for 10+ years):the feet on this one are smaller and the tilt angle is lower. I discovered that my desk is not completely flat apparently, as when i hit the bottom right del key, they top left corner lifts up on the air, i never had this issue with my last keyboard, it’s bcs the feet are smaller/on a different location i suspect, so keep in mind you need a truly flat surface. The location of the g keys on the side makes typing a bit more difficult. There is no wrist rest, unlike my old keyboard. I wanted to like this so much. Unfortunatelly, i can’t get used to the location of the g keys, i keep messing up my typing and gaming bcs of them. I’m gonna return it for a model with no g keys.

  • Love the macros and backlit for the price. A+ keyboard.

  • good keyboard. I like the looks of it and

  • Great Keyboard, Worth The Money!

Having only has cheap keyboards in the past which had letters that stuck, i really wanted a decent one for gaming and also a quick and easy one for me to type on for essays. I absolutely love this corsair keyboard. It’s mechanical keyboard feel makes it very quick for me to type and i love that it lights up red.

Really love the layout of this keyboard moving from using a standard keyboard which i received bundled with my last computer. I really like the separate colours of the gaming and directional keys. The backlighting is really useful and a revelation from having no backlighting on my previous keyboards. The backlighting is perfectly bright without being too bright and overpowering and is set in three stages. I found it unusual at first to adjust to having the function keys as those on the most left side of the keyboard however once i got used to them and have adjusted some programs to use them to perform actions they have helped to me to increase productivity as well as in games which they are obviously designed for. Would have no problem in recommending this corsair keyboard which i have found to be of a very high quality. The keys have a nice wright and feel to them which is a clear upgrade from a standard keyboard.

Fantastic for a budget gaming keyboard, macro buttons are very useful and fairly easy to set up. Easy to clean out between the keys with compressed air.

Second time i have purchased this keyboard, i can confirm that it was so good, when i had to buy another one, i went straight for the k30. The mushroom switches allow for easy cleaning. The macro programming allows me to customize any game controls to what i want them to be. Eventually broken because i destroy all peripherals with my strong hands. Corsair make a very good keyboard.

My last keyboard was corsair. Lasted 3 yrs, and it gets used every day for several hours. I would recommend this 100%. And they stay clear, never rub off.

Great keyboard for its price, having abit of hard time deciding to use all the extra buttons as i dont know if i need them all. 10/10 for its value and feel of the keys.

While the keyboard itself looks great, and functions perfectly as a gaming device, i have noticed some flaws in its ability to function as a keyboard. An issue flagged on forums, that my unit suffered from, is a strange occurrence when using the shift keys to type in caps. Letters get dropped when typed in quick succession (e. ‘you’) and in some cases letters are inputted the wrong way round (‘cautino’). I have no idea why this happens, but the letter combinations that are affected aren’t particularly rare, which makes me wonder why there still isn’t a fix. I would suggest that if you want a cheap keyboard, go for this one – you won’t be disappointed in it as a part of your gaming set up. But if you plan on using your computer as a workstation in top of gaming, i would suggest you find another product – unless the problems mentioned above won’t irritate you.

The keyboard arrived well within the delivery time-frame, and does everything it says on the pack. The only reason i wouldn’t give it a 5-star rating is because the macro key functions can not be used on a macbook, which was disappointing. There is no software for the mac os and this makes the k30 no different to any ordinary keyboard for the mac. It works very well with windows pcs, however.

Ok so i have given this 5 stars cause its amazing but for me and the games i play im not happy but thats is just personal preference. The key board is amazing and does what its meant to but for me the g keys to the far left just get in the way and i spend more time pressing g1 instead of pressing esc. As i have said if you dont mind that and you are playing a game that you need the g1 then this keyboard you really cant go wrong. An amazing action on the keys and a very sturdy build.

Love the macros and backlit, which is only in one color. Macros are really something i adore. You can teach your keyboard. Best thing you can buy before going to mechanical. I can create macros for my work and work as crazy. Macros can stay on hardware part of keyboard which is a plus. I bought it for 30£ so worth every penny. Bear in mind that it is different than standard one keyboards and it will take some time to adapt due to higher velocity keys. I can say this is closest to get to mechanical without getting to mechanical. A lot of people complained that it was actually mechanical when they saw it due to highly elevated keys.

Best keyboard i have owned and well worth the purchase. Feels really solid and is great for typing. The lights come in handy at night when i have lights off and i’m playing a game.

Customisable colour backlighting

I’m typing this from the keyboard. The feel of the keys is amazing. The macro keys are great for an unlimited amount of things. The red back-light is awesome. The quality is very good, sturdy and doesn’t feel like it will fall apart unlink my previous keyboard. The only con (but is not a con for the keyboard but me) is that i always put my hand in the the far down left side corner of all the keyboard, basically, placing my finger in the control key, but, this one, having the extra macro keys, i end up pressing that rather than the control key or even the escape key.

Has good feedback on the keys, isn’t too loud when typing and as anti-ghosting technology. The red backlighting is great for night time use and the general quality of the keyboard is great. Would recommend to all gamers looking for a budget but quality solution.

I am not a gamer, but needed back lighting so as to see the keyboard. The programmable buttons are easy to set through the software provided. Saves a lot of time for repeated text or commands. Would have liked to have a ‘sleep’ button but found i can use this option from windows button anyway. I would never go back to a basic keyboard.

A great keyboard for those on a budget, good for gaming with red led keycap backlighting, and programmable macro keys to the left of the keyboard. Media keys also prove usefull for adjusting music while in a game, without exiting. Overall a fantastic purchase and i’m very happy about the price i paid for it.

While at a lan with some friends after buying this there was a girl sitting next to me with the k95 and i have a chance to give it a go. All in all apart from the ability to make cool light displays i see no advantage in the more expensive ones, save yourself some money and get this one while still maintaining quality.

Ive been using the second version of the logitech g15 for years and it suddenly failed on me. I was then demoted to a billy no make with sponget keys and needed something new fast. This is spot on for the price and even though plastic it looks very premium. Backlight is as good as my old g15.

Six programmable G-keys allows up to 18 of your favourite presets and key combos

Great keyboard easy to maintain and clean, no ghosting or other annoying such issues. 10/10however i did happen to have a faulty spacebar which fell apart on me, i understand this happens in the manufactoring process sometimes and is not an issue, however what is a issue is the policies all three involved parties have had to solve this issue, amazon denies all liability, the retailer refuses to respond and the manufactorer corsair want me to pay to ship it back to them from the uk aswell as a non refundable deposit from a debit card and to wait a month for them to send me a new one, how they expect me to pay for the postage and the deposit i have no idea, the idea that i should go a month without a keyboard is just insulting, i am not annoyed with the product as these things happen but the way i have been trreated afterwards has left me very bitter, unless this issue is resolved in a far more reasonable manor i will be avoiding corsair from now on.

Love this keyboardi really do i do a lot of typing and this has good feel and good spacing between the keys. I am no 100 words a minute typist, but i am much better than the £12 prior keyboard led me to appear.

Was looking for a relatively cheap keyboard for occasional gaming and this fits the bill nicely. While not mechanical it has a good positive action and some potentially useful features suxh as programmable keys.

Nice looking keyboard, but has a few flaws. (1) the software it comes with is awful. Programming the six memory keys works much better when you do it manually rather than through the software. (2) the position of the six memory keys is badly thought out, as they are very close to the left-most column of keys (esc, `, tab, caps lock, left-shift, left-ctrl), which means you keep pressing the memory keys accidentally when you mean to press esc, left-shift, etc. (3) i don’t know if it’s just the particular keyboard that i received, but certain key presses do not register accurately. For example, when typing ‘stop’ by holding left-shift + s, t, o, p, it will always type ‘stop’. And when typing ‘your’ by holding left-shift + y, o, u, r, it will always type ‘yoru’. )so on the whole, i cannot recommend this keyboard unless you don’t do very much typing on it. For example, the wasd keys work fine, so if you’re using this keyboard mainly for gaming, it’s fine.

Fantastic keyboard for the price. A little bulky if you intend to travel with it, but a sacrifice worth making if you often work remotely in poorly lit environments. Also very useful for automating those repetitive tasks.

It is ok keyboard, on linux mostly works out of the box. G keys are not programmable on linux. As g keys are on the left, i’m often hitting g1 instead of esc. Hopefully i will get used to this new layout. As g keys are useless under linux, at least it does nothing. Multimedia keys work with rhythmbox, speaker keys work too system wide. Illumination also works (3 brightness levels plus off). While changing illumination level this comment disappeared, had to retype. (edit: while backlight is off, pressing illumination key is causing calculator app to launch – i found 10+ calculator instances under firefox window on ubuntu 14. The fix to calculator launch is to disable calculator shortcut in keyboard settings. Still, switching backlight off is causing desktop to reload. Writing / lettering on some keys while illuminated is blurry / distorted when looking from the angle. Feels almost glued to the desk, what is nice. Capslock and numlock indicators do not work for me.

I have been using the keyboard for the whole day now, i had a problem when i first plugged it in but that was because i plugged it into a cheap usb hub which they keyboard did not like. The quality of this keyboard is hery high and it looks very smart but with a gaming twist to it which is what i like, its not a mechanical keyboard which is what i like because it is a lot quieter. The keys are very quiet but also give you a nice click feel to it and it comes with 6 programmable buttons which my other keyboard did not have, the main parts which made me buy this keyboard was that is has red led backlights which match my setup and it have volume controls at the top and it has media controls underneath that which is great for skipping songs when in the middle of a game, the w, a, s, d and arrow keys are a silver colour which is different to the back of the other keys which is nice and you can control the brightness of the led’s with the brightness button which gives you three different settings. There are three different buttons to switch between saved presets on the keyboard. Overall this keyboard is definitely worth the money and if you are looking for and upgrade from a basic keyboard or a keyboard which came as a bundle with your pc or laptop this will be great for you. I had upgraded from a blu backlit £11 keyboard and it was worth the upgrade.

100% anti-ghosting with full key rollover on USB –

Fantastic gaming keyboard for an amazing price. Seriously the fact it has no ghosting and the keyboard is quiet – not as quiet as the macbook pro keyboards but very quiet regardless. I’ll be getting a steelseries keyboard later this month but i’m extremely happy about my choice, this keyboard is amazing. I use it for cs:go and the fact i can walk and switch weapons and jump all at the same time is heaven to me :).Keys feel solid and lovely too.

Lovely keyboard though it took a bit of getting used to since the keys aren’t quite the normal feel.

It’s a really solid build with a good backlight. The drivers which come with the keyboard are a little hard to get the hang of but once you do they are quite powerful and you can create some great macros. The keys are softer to type with than expected but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. All round great keyboard for typing and games.
