SteelSeries Apex 350, Very good keyboard but All top and left-hand side lights have

Ok keyboard but letters fade quickly with use, so now the wasd keys look like 4 circular blobs with bright led coming through – making it so irritating when you cant get replacement keycaps outside of warranty. Lights for scroll lock, numlock etc stopped working alsoavoid, and buy something else.
Programmable = good, lighting = good, sizable front acting as a wrist rest = good. However, almost immediately i noticed that the ‘0’ key on the numeric keypad seemed unresponsive, half the time it didn’t register unless typed firmly. Not that important so whatever, but now after less than 12 months use the same is happening to the ‘i’ key. Even typing this review it happened a few times. I suppose more keys may follow. I think this the first actual keyboard failure i’ve experienced in 20 years of solid programming/gaming so decided to review.
Product arrived well packaged and in a very timely manner. The actual keyboard box held everything nicely secure and protected and in addition to the keyboard contained a basic instruction manual and pair of rubber feet to adjust the height of the keyboard. On removing from the box the first thing i noticed is how long this keyboard is, while thickness and width were about normal. The keyboard is reassuringly weighty and there is very little flex/twist across the board. The usb cable is a nice diameter, quite heavy to the touch and nicely braided and is quite long at over 2. It also has two usb connecters on the end, one to connect the keyboard and one to power the two usb pass-through ports located either side of the cable on the back of the keyboard. Overall the keyboard has a very premium look and feel and (unlike the photos on amazon) is a uk layout. One problem people may find is the excessive length of the keyboard forces the wasd keys and the mouse further apart than normal. I don’t find this a problem but it is worth noting.
One of the best keyboards i’ve ever used, definitely recommend lots of keys that you can bind for handy short cuts defiantly reccomend.
. Mechanical are so overated. Just get this doesnt dissapoint.
Very good keyboard but all top and left-hand side lights have broken and don’t change colour at random times but then come back to normal for a bit. Normally a unplug work them out.
Solid keyboard, loads of customizable buttons and the software is simple so you can make full use of all of the macro keys. I currently have some of the mx buttons programmed to open some of the apps i use the most, which you simply can’t do on a lot of other keyboards. When playing games such as csgo the lighting responds automatically to how much health you have; green, then orange, then red and finally flashing red. This is a small feature but thought it was worth mentioning as it’s not said by the manufacturer. The usb passthrough is a useful feature which i use to connect my mouse to my pc. Don’t use it for charging anything however, as it overloads the usb port. Only thing stopping me from rating 5 stars is that the lighting is not very bright, even at max brightness.

This keyboard is not cheap but it is very well made and easy to see/use. I am really enjoying using it, and its great for gaming in low light.
Keys are nice, if a little stiff if pushed at wrong angle.
Beautiful keyboard, great design and perfect for gaming.
The only problem i have is that i find my fingers automatically go to the custom keys on the left when going for shift and ctrl. Need to reprogram my brain as well as the keyboard :). Other than that it’s a great keyboard. Not just for gaming but also for assigning keys in ‘work’ programs such as excel.
Very look good looking keyboard and very well made but wrong starkey’s grimmie.
Better than the razor it replaced – the drivers actually work on a mac.
