As a user of a more expensive mechanical keyboard i was a bit dubious about this product but i needed something quieter due to my old keyboard keeping my newborn son awake. Functionally there are better keyboards out there for gaming but if you need a non mechanical gaming keyboard i think this is spot on. The lighting effects are controlled via dedicated key presses. I’ve had no ghosting issues while using it. Sure theres a period of adjustment if you’ve come from a mechanical keyboard but i cant fault it. The backlight is fine and shines through the letters on the keys making night use easy. The function keys work (well the ones i’ve tried, i dont tend to use such things anyway).

An excellent keyboard with illuminated keys clearly visible in a dark room with no lights on.

Keys are nice and low profile. Font on the keys is a nice design. All together another great product from cougar.

The best alternative to logitech ultrax i’ve found so far. Keys feel somewhere in between first and second gen of ultrax.

Surprised at how good this is. Can’t fault it in any department.

Buttery smooth presses and very quiet. Scissor switches are da bes.

Keyboard arrived with space bar not fixed in place properly and top right part of keyboard case not clipped down correctly. I think this is case of manufacturer improving their quality control. However both these problems were easily addressed and clipped into place with a bit of minor fiddling. The keyboard itself is pretty comfortable to use with the backlighting providing adequate illumination (please note though it’s not particularly bright). Keys are relatively stable and not too soft which i prefer and work well for general use. Also the keyboard feels weighted which is great as it stops it from slipping around the desk surface. Overall sufficiently pleased with this keyboard.

Since i was fed up with the keyboard letters coming off over time, i figure i get a light up one instead. I didn’t really wanted an expensive one since i’m not much of a gamer (don’t used all of the gaming feature). After finding several and can’t decided, i leave it to my mate to decide (more of an gamer than me) on this one. Now that it has arrived, it overall had match my expectation. It look nice and more stable (weight) compared to my old one. The only downside i have are-it has no build in marco like my old keyboard. The buttons feel are like keyboard which is not bad for some people but for me (more keyboard used) it abit of getting used to. The lights don’t saved your feature sometime when you boot it up. It revert to the default (orange light and mid brightness while i prefered it to be blue and lowest lighting). Despite a few of the cons, it was a well worth purchase.

Simply amazing keyboardheavy, sturdy, nice illumination of the keys without being too bright. Silent, almost like a laptop. No drivers, plug and play, tested on windows, linux and mac os (cmd key needed to be set). If it had a usb 3 hub built in it would be even better. Don’t ask about gaming, i’m not one.

Excellent keyboard, especially if you like laptop type keys. Quite heavy compared to ordinary (read microsoft) keyboards but extremely stable. The led lights actually illuminate the characters on the keyboard and although there is some light bleed from around the keys it is very little and subdued. The 7 colours are easy to select and once chosen they stay selected and return to ‘as was’ after a computer switch off and reboot. The only problem i had with the lighting was the illuminated strip along the front edge. I found it a little distracting but some black tape soon sorted that. I cannot comment on the anti ghosting and wasd/arrow keys swap facility because i don’t often play games on my computer. However, if they work as well as the rest of the keyboard they will work well. All in all a very good keyboard and a satisfied customer.

I really love this keyboard, i got this one specifically because i touch type far more efficiently with these types of keys. The colour variants are really good, my favourite is purple. The build is fairly standard and plastic to the touch, though visually it looks like metal.

I’ve had this keyboard a little under a year now. It looks nice, is backlit, has low-profile keys and is fairly quiet. I have had problems with it sometimes failing to register key presses however. As such, it’s not a ‘smooth’ typing experience until you get used to pushing the keys quite hard, and even then, i wouldn’t consider this an especially reliable keyboard in games where every hotkey counts. This could just be an issue with my own personal typing style, but i switched to this from a basic dell keyboard and have realised that, in retrospect, the dell was vastly superior. However, for the price, this keyboard is probably still worth a shot, because it does have it’s positives and you may have a different experience than my own. With that said, i personally would not purchase it again.

The keyboard lasted me about 8 months of solid use before i spilled a pint on it, and it is now, understandably, dead. For its 8 months of life it performed well and without any issues the keys are quiet, responsive, and the letters don’t rub off. The finish is good and the keyboard has a solid feel to it. I won’t be buying another, but this is largely because i would like a keyboard that will colour match my logitech mouse.

Really good for the price, leds are cool.

Its not a mechanical keyboard that might people off but it’s got a good weight behind it so less likely to slip of you don’t have a mat under it. Wide flip pegs in the back to raise it with rubber feet attached to them. You can also dim the lights.

For this price the keyboard is very good. It has soft laptop-like buttons and it’s very comfortable for writing, unless you are the type that bash on the buttons, then it’s not for you. I have the feeling that they will wear out relatively fast, but we will see about that. Everything works without additional software, which is a plus, but also a minus because certain functionality can’t be achieved without one. On the image there are big enter and big shift, but in reality the left shift is actually a small one. Even on highest brightness settings the illumination is really dim. It’s enough for a dark room, but far more weaker than my old ms sidewinder x6. The darker colors, like red and darker blue, are really heavy on the eyes for this reason. The preferred color can’t be saved, you have to rotate through each one every time and the lightest one, that isn’t heavy on my eyes, is the last one :(also the illuminated line bellow the space bar is redundant for me, nothing to focus on there in order to be lit up all the time. It irritates me more than it looks cool.

Keys can break very easily, especially when removing them. Since one of my major keys being the enter button is broken, i had to wait and buy for another one of these keyboards.

Fantastic keyboard, brilliant led back light colours, the brightness of lights wont hurt your eyes and you can see the keys just fine. The keys are really good on type on, they are not very loud and sound good. The over all feel of the keyboard is great, the media keys are super helpful and when playing games the keys are easy to get too. I love the design of the keyboard, the cougar logo and leds. I would highly recommend keyboard, for anyone that wants a high quality led backlite keyboard and wants a keyboard thats is aesthetically pleasing.
