perixx MX-2000B-11019 Programmable Laser Gaming Mouse – Good quality mouse
Was looking for a quality budget gaming mouse and after looking at various reviews on different sites this little baby popped up a few times. It looked just like my old mionix naos 5000 so thought i would give it a try. I won’t go into a full description of all its features as they are listed here and in other reviews around the web. All i will say is this is absolutely amazing for the price. Have been using it for a month now playing swtor and far cry 4. This is a palm grip mouse which i prefer and every bit as comfortable as my old naos. I would recommend this to any gamer that just needs a simple, well built and functional mouse. This deserves all the praise it has received and for this price. Well nothing out there comes anywhere near it. The only thing i have noticed is that when i unplug the mouse and restart my laptop i have to adjust my pointer speed back to how i like it each time.
Very good mouse at any price, but for significantly cheaper than ‘big name’ equivalents this is fantastic. Like others, i downloaded the latest drivers from the perixx website. The programming software is easy to use imho. Any of the buttons can be configured to do almost anything and i find all the buttons are within easy reach of my fingers. The mouse is very responsive, and the ability to change dpi speed on the fly is good (and essential for this type of mouse i think). I use the mouse frequently for gaming (bf3, cod etc. ) as well as general pc stuff. Only 2 negative points for an otherwise perfect mouse:1. The dpi lights are fixed colour (blue) and can’t be dimmed.
I bought this mouse about a year and 2 months ago. It doesn’t come with the most user-friendly software for assigning buttons to keys, but it was intuitive after having a bit of a tinker. The mouse worked really well for the first year, i used it for occasional casual gaming (starcraft, wow, etc) the extra mouse buttons were very helpful, and so were the adjustable weights. I have quite a small hand, so the extra buttons needed a bit of a stretch but it was still easy to use. However, after only casual gaming for all of this time, the mouse has finally started to give up. All buttons are still fully functional, but it intermittently cuts out and stops moving the cursor on screen randomly. This is really bad timing considering that my warranty just expired – considering it only went through light use, it probably would have had an even shorter life span if i used it all the time. This could be worth considering if you were looking into buying it.
I’ve been looking for a replacement for my ancient microsoft laser 6000, which served me faithfully for about 6 years of cad work, and the perixx seemed like an ideal candidate: cheap, plenty of buttons, and adjustable sensitivity. Although the descriptions states there are 11 buttons on the mouse, there are really only 4 bindable extra buttons that you’ll actually use. The rest of that number is filled out with the horizontal wheel clicks and dpi adjustment. Still, 4 is plenty: copy and paste take up two, while the other two are bound to command macros for autocad. Setting up the macros and buttons was surprisingly painless. The software is simple to use and pretty full-featured. It’s at least as good as the razer software that came with the deathadder i use at home. It gives you the option to save profiles for different applications and games, and has a wealth of options for mouse sensitivity and button bindings. There’s also, fortunately, an option to turn off the logo led entirely.
I love this mouseits pretty standard size for most gaming mice but what i do like is that there is a lot of room around the thumb. I hate it when you grip a mouse and find yourself pressing thumb keys. Even disabling there function it is still annoying pressing them. It has three keys around the thumb, the 1st and 2nd sit above and are a within reach but i do have to make a conscious adjustment. (no accidental pressing) the third i can just reach and its main function is to change mouse sensitivity which is useful to set different sensitivities to different games. I reset my os recently though and have lost the driver install disc but luckily all my setting adjustments have remained. I’ve added three out of the 5 weights and its perfect for me.

It has been around 3 years since i bought this mouse when i was starting a new pc gaming rig. This rig has evolved and changed throughout the years with new hardware and software, but this mouse has been one of the few things that has not changed once. It is durable, responsive and best of all it is reprogrammable. I’m not majorly into my key bindings and such but being able to simply tab back and forth between web pages with the mouses two side buttons is immensely useful. As for gaming it performs amazingly, with such an array of sensitivity both on x and y axis any gamer would be able to customize it just for them. I cannot recommend this mouse enough, a truly brilliant product that to my knowledge at least needs more visibility.
So firstly, it came the next day, which is amazing (free trail of amazon prime) +1it feels solid, and is great for those with a fingertip grip, it should fit a palm grip if your hands are smaller. (my palm is 8x10cm)the software to edit macros, leds and other functions is found online, but it was hard to find, so i’ll leave a link here. (your welcome :d )the leds are not fully rgb, but have a selection of colours that should suffice nicely (i believe it was at least 20)in the settings you can control the response time (200,500 & 1000ms) also the dpi can be changed by your profile. The buttons all feel different (which i like) the main 2 clicks are nice and responsive, the forward & back are nice and have larger actuation distance. The scroll wheel is tilted towards the sides of the left-click, which is comfortable for me (right-handed)the dpi switch works flawlessly. The one problem the mouse has (as far as i know) is that you cant change the 5 profiles with a button, so i have the settings best adjusted to key bindings, then in game change the binding to the keys, giving you more mouse control. Overall i love this mouse, it was just meant to be a place-holder until i got a mx-9, but now i will be using this until it dies. ]
I would say this is the best mouse i have had out of many, it has 11 buttons and you can command them to do pretty much anything. It is just as good as a cyborg rat gaming mouse and has just as many custom settings, 5000dpi, 24 colors to customize your perixx symbol and you can even choose how fast it pulsates or the intensity of the light. There are 6 removable weights that you can put in the base at the bottom end, the sensor is in the middle and is very sensitive making it so responsive. There are 8 dpi settings pre-built in but you can change it and any other settings from the software you download from the small disc that comes in the box. There are 5 profiles that you can save to activate at any point so that can come in handy if you need different settings for different games or programs, you can save the profiles to your documents so that if you are gaming from another computer then you can load the profiles on to it from a usb stick. The wire is braided navy blue and black and the mouse is a medium to small-large size that is very comfortable, the buttons are in perfect positions to press comfortably at any point without having to move your hand awkwardly to press them and it has curved finger and thumb grips on both sides. It doesn’t collect sweat and dirt/dust doesn’t gather easy. It also comes with extra replaceable grips for the bottom of the mouse and an instruction leaflet, it runs purely off of usb power from your computer rather than battery like some wireless mice do. The box is small and fits the mouse box perfectly and the mouse box has a sleek nice looking design and took no time at all to deliver. I am so happy to have this high standard mouse for such a little price, i totally recommend.
This mouse is one of the best i have used for a while. The mouse itself is a perfect ergonomic grip for my hand, and the programmable buttons work within the hand’s reach. The mouse itself is good quality and has a very light feel to it when none of the weights are inside, and feels reliably heavy when the weights are inside. The disc that contains the driver and customization is in the back, for those who may purchase this product and missed it, as i did not notice it in the packaging, so i downloaded the information of the web, free of charge by perixx (which is a pleasant feature, to say the least) the ui for the program is easy to use, and is pretty much fool-proof, with key binding options ranging from basic functions (find, copy, paste, etc) to more advanced macros (i key-bind macros for games like magicka, and payday 2 for accessibility). Overall, this mouse is one of the best i have purchased, and rivals higher end mice in terms of price versus practicality. I will be a returning customer, as the quality is even better than i hoped.
Love the feel of it, very comfy fit for the hard when you get used to it from a standard smaller mouse, and the quantity and position of the extra buttons are satisfying. The software has quite a few sensitivity options so it’s quite adaptive to one’s needs, and naturally along with the key binding options for the extra buttons, also has a macro option which is very handydefinitely recommended. # issue 1 (random sensitivity change) #i’m not sure of the cause; whether it’s the mouse, software/drivers or something to do with battlefield 3, but in rare cases in battlefield 3 the sensitivity goes double what it’s set to, and both the in-game sensitivity and the mouse’s sensitivity are what i always have them set to, and changing either just a tad doesn’t help. Nor does re-connecting the mouse. In the end it just randomly goes and i have no idea of the cause. It’s only a minor issue that can be solved while the problem persists, but just a heads up anyway. # issue 2 (thumb button issue) #not sure if this is a fault with my mouse in particular, but within a few months of us the thumb button doesn’t active when it clicks, instead you have to press past the click all the way down. It used to require just a little press; it would click and the button would activate, but now i just don’t use it as it’s confusing how it clicks but doesn’t activate and also requires more force.
First off, i have no idea how the laser works on this mouse, the bottom doesnt light up at all yet the mouse still moves. The number of dpi choices is very good, the mouse is a good weight. It has 6 weights you can add or remove depending on if you like it lighter. I have small hands and this is the perfect size. I really like the double click button, and it allows you to make alternate profiles, not that i ever use them. For £30 you really can’t go wrong. Just don’t pay for 1st class postage. I had the free option and it still turned up next morning. The only thing i need to train my hand to do is stay on it.
Decided that i wanted to upgrade from a logitech mx518. I originally purchased the anker mouse but didn’t particularly like the 3 buttons by the thumb, one was hard to reach so i returned it – i then purchased the perixx mx-2000. It has a button below the thumb as well as two next to it, which is much more accessible, to add to that it has a button on the right hand side of the mouse for use with your finger next to your pinky. The mouse scroll wheel also has left and right buttons. I haven’t gamed with it much but the ergonomics of the perixx are superior i also feel the build quality is great and just a customizable as the anker. If you have small hands it may be a little on the big side though. Okay for medium to large hands. The dpi adjuster is very nice.Starts with one blue light which goes down from top to bottom, then as you get to the light nearest you it starts pinging back up with two blue, three blue and then highest dpi on four blue lights.
Had a few nights gaming with this mouse. I’ve used perixx mice for the last 4-5 years. Good build quality, nice design and features for a good price. Software for the mouse allows for rgb pulsing or single colour solid or pulsing depending on dpi setting. It’s a larger mouse which suits me liking my hand flat with rests for fingers and thumb that are very ergonomic. A good weight although lacks the weights from the mx2000 and cannot be made as heavy. My only real problem with this mouse is positioning/ how stiff the 1-12 thumb buttons are. For my thumb to press the 1,6,9 buttons my whole hand needs to shift on the mouse meaning i need to reset my hand on the mouse after every press. I simply don’t use these buttons, in an mmo it’s more comfortable to click the in-game task-bar when in a raid or pvp encounter with the left mouse button defeating the purpose for the extra buttons. For the price, build etc i cannot down vote it further as i’ll only ever need the 9 buttons and its a sweet bit of peripheral hardware. This gaming mouse represents great value for money. In the past i have used razer gaming mice for their precision and sensitivity. The perixx mx-2000iib has performed amazingly well in third person shooters such as call of duty and battlefield. The mouse sensitivity can be adjusted as can its weight. I have found the mouse to be very precise and comfortable to use for long periods. If you are an online gamer and play the above games i would recommend it. It does not feel cheap and is of good quality. It has some customisable options such as led colours and it comes with software so you can make various adjustments to the settings and sensitivity. Dont be put off by the cheap price it represents good quality and excellent value for money.
**this review is for the flagship version of the mouse perixx mx-2000** the mx-2000iib is the downgraded ‘new’ version. Unfortunately you can’t buy the one i’m reviewing any more and it has been replaced with this one, which is a huge shame because it’s the best mouse i’ve ever hadthe new version no longer has the double click button positioned where your thumb naturally sits (the button has been completely removed). I use this more frequently than the middle mouse button so the fact that it’s gone on the new version is a massive downer for me. I hear the ‘new’ version also has some software issues. Please be careful and read the reviews before purchasingmy 5 stars is for the original flagship perixx mx-2000.
I originally bought a sharkoon drakonia mouse, but this was dead on arrival and so i returned this to amazon (great returns service, by the way). I didn’t want to order another drakonia in case it had the same problem, so i thought i’d try the perixx mx-2000 instead and i’m pleased that i did. It’s nicely made, fits the hand well (i’m right-handed) and glides very smoothly over the drakonia mat that i bought with the drakonia mouse. I did wonder whether to use the supplied weights, but after trying them for a bit i found that i liked the more solid feel to the mouse (i used all 6 weights), and the mouse seems to glide even more smoothly with all weights on board. I’ve not tried programming the buttons yet as i’m not a frequent games player – i just wanted a decent mouse for general use and it fits that requirement very well indeed.
I bought this mouse back in late 2014 and am currently still using it. The reason for the purchase was to replace a similar older model of the same mouse which had its lmb break after slightly less than a year, simply because i liked the weighting of the mouse and even though it only lasted a year i felt it was worth the purchase. The new model came with a relocated button near the forward/back side keys, moved from where the silver ‘mx2000ii’ is, as well as a space for the scroll wheel which is absolutely amazing. My issues with the mouse are mostly due to having sweaty hands when i play games. The rubber where your thumb rests has become smoother, which feels and starts to smell awful after sweat starts to gather. It is also not very easy to clean compared to the prior model. Sweat also sticks to the matte surface of the left and right mouse buttons.
Had this mouse for almost a year now, and i have to say it’s very good quality for the price i got it for. It is a shame that the dpi level leds are not customisable, and sometimes it does emit a high pitched whine, but overall its a very good mousethe cable is braided, and feels very tough and resiliant. The changeable dpi levels is usefuls when switching weapons/games. The leds work well and almost all are fully customisable. All the buttons are placed in logical places where you can reach, and can be very useful to program macros to. All in all, there are and always will be better mice on the market than this, but this is a good stepping stone, and works very well for the price.
Only been using the mouse for a few days, but here are my observations. 1) much more comfortable than the roccat kone[+ it replaces. Generally i find some gaming mice are ever so slightly too large but this one feels like it was designed perfectly for my hands. Much smoother movement across the mat and the buttons fall to hand a little easier. Additionally the soft-touch plastic shell is great and the elongated thumb support makes gripping feel much more relaxed. The weights (seven of them) come in a printed metal tin and the braided cord, though rather pointless, is a quality touch. There’s a little upward movement in the left and right mouse button switches but it doesn’t affect how they feel. My only minor gripe is the scroll wheel isn’t quite as tactile as i’d like- there’s only a very soft “click” as the gear turns against the sensor, though i’m sure i’ll get used to it. My kone[+] was bought second-hand but was only a few months old. ]
Reviews from purchasers :
- Amazing Mouse, Even Better Value
- Best Budget Gaming Mouse Ever.
- It’s the best mouse of it’s kind you’ll find for the money

I bought one of these for gaming and general use. I have more than one pc and i have just bought my second perixx mouse. To begin with i was not that keen as the mouse is a different shape to a normal mouse and like most people i prefer what i know. However i kept going and learnt how to use the functions better. At some point it dawned on me and my 3 gaming kids that this mouse is way better than a normal mouse. 1) it glides beautifully as the skid pads are much larger than a standard mouse. This in itself makes for a smother movement. 2) it fits your hand better than a normal mouse. 3) the rubber finish gives a nice amount of grip. 4) the main left and right clicks are really effortless.
After using a cheap laser mouse for ages i decided enough was enough and found one of these. Like many of you i’m sure, i don’t mind paying a fair amount of money for a quality product so i was looking at the rat and razer range of mice. This mouse however seemed to offer the features of mice costing three times the price – there has to be a catch right?resoundingly not i have to say. Unless you are brand concious (read: a sheep) this mouse is excellently built, the switches and wheel are all light but positive, the weight is adjustable and it glides on my desk without the need for a mat. The maximum 5000 dpi is great once you adjust your sensitivity down within games themselves, allowing you to make slight movements when aiming and fast moments when you need to. It will also come into it’s own when doing anything like image manipulation too as you can adjust the dpi instantly with the switch behind the wheel. The software (which is not required unless you want to map the buttons to keystrokes or other advanced things) seems lightweight and just sits in your taskbar. The logo light colour can be changed, dimmed or switched off completely. I can’t really fault the mouse but obviously if you’re left handed or in need of a wireless one, this isn’t for you.
I use this mouse constantly for office work and web browsing in particular. It’s a multi-button mouse, including backward, forward, dpi settings, tilt scroll wheel and double-click button. The colour of the ‘breathing’ light on top can be changed. The mouse has numerous programmable options, and the ability to save different profiles. The mouse is provided with six weights, which can be added if the user feels that it is too lightweight (there are no batteries to add weight). Although i’m right-handed, i prefer to use my left hand with a mouse. This is a right-handed mouse, but i found no difficulty at all in using it with my left hand. I can still reach all the buttons with ease. It’s not small – like many laptop mice. It’s big enough to grip securely without fingers hitting the desk. I started using it on a windows 7 laptop and an now using it on a windows 10 laptop. But it works just as well with desktop pcs. It’s wired and it connects to a pc or laptop via a usb port (usb2 or usb3).
This mouse has absolutely brilliant design and value, really want to congratulate the perixx team on this product. It looks fantastic, while the customisable (to any colour) led lighting is bright but not intrusive, and the shape is ergonomic and comfortable. Materials used feel expensive, while the weighting system (small adjustable steel discs) really helps with getting the perfect feel. Even the fabric weave cable is attractive and durable. With regards to performance, i was blown away. Movements are smooth and controlled, while the in-depth driver allows you to fine tune every element to your needs. I became noticeably better at the games i play due to this mouse’s precision and speed. The feel of the click is perfect, and each button on the mouse is programmable for quickly using key-bound items or commands. Honestly feels like a very high end piece of equipment. Finally, after almost exactly a year of constant use (4 hours gaming or more everyday) the laser lost its precision and the mouse would jump to random locations.
We’ve been looking for a high resolution mouse with an advanced set of button mapping options for use with photoshop and other design packages. It was important that the mouse be wired and of sufficient weight to assist with smooth gestures. Taking the plunge i’m happy to say that the perixx is a great mouse for image editing and general design. For right handed users, with average-large hands, button placement is exactly where you’d want it. Using all included weights does make the mouse a little back heavy but also gives you confidence when making a mark or selection in photoshop. We prefer it ‘fully laden’ with weight as it feels more robust and reassuring to use. Buttons can be easily assigned to keyboard shortcuts which increases productivity (less time navigating menus means more time restoring images). It is even possible to swap the function of the dpi selector to keyboard shorcuts (or macros) which makes this an 11 button mouse + scrolling. We’ve used the mouse 9 hours a day, 5 days a week for over 3 years and it’s still going strong. It’s as accurate as an apple magic mouse but significantly more capable.
I have been using logitech g series gaming mice for increased ergonomics and performance for quite some years now. Those were some decent mice, not without their flaws though: shape was not exactly perfect, very awkwardly locate dpi switch which renders it useless, and quite an atrocious and unusable button configuration model. I decided to replace the g5 that has started dying from old age before it goes down completely with something else and not breaking the budget but comparable in specs and this mouse was right on the spot. Very good shape for my hand, which was the best improvement. Ugly firmware, but configuration is very quick and supports several profiles and that is what matters really. Logitech has profiles too, but for some weird reason they have to be assigned to a specific applications only, which is a pain when you use a different button layout for games to what you use for os interaction as you will have to create an identical profile for each of the games you want to play. Here your profile is just a button configuration for everything which is the right way to do. A nice glowing logo that changes the colors can be handy to identify the current active profile. Nice rubbery grips to the sides, but some might find it to feel too pronounced.

The overall quality is excellent, the grip is very comfortable and suits my hand very well; it is however somewhat big, so people with smaller hands might need some time to get used to it. The mouse comes packaged with a cd with the driver required for its configuration, along with an instructions manual and 6 small weights which can be inserted as needed. The mouse is absolutely fully configurable: there are 11 ‘pressable’ buttons in total, plus the wheel scrolling function: 3 buttons on the left, left and right clicks, wheel click, wheel tilt left and right, one button on the right and a middle button with a click forwards and a click backwards (by default used to change dpi). With the included driver, which you can download from the perixx website as well, you can configure every single button regardless of its default function, with a very wide range of built-in functions: copy, paste, open/close window, play/stop, switch window, undo, redo,. If you still can’t find what you need, you can always associate the buttons with single keyboards keys or any their combination. Further, you can save your configurations in 5 different profiles, which you can easily switch depending on the programs you are going to run. I do not use the mouse only for gaming, and it strongly increased my productivity with the computer with many programs: autocad, matlab, latex compilers,. If you use a software like dexpot to have multiple workspaces, you can switch workspaces with the simple press of a button. Finally, one little flaw you should be aware of: the mouse does not work with linux, because it misses the driver and the manufacturer does not provide it for linux.
The best gaming mouse i’ve bought so far. Enough extra buttons to make a strategic difference, without so many that it’s just a gimmick. There needs to be enough space between them that you know what you’re pushing without stopping to look and that is what this mouse achieves. I also love the adjustable weights in it because i like a heave solid mouse feel and with this being adjustable you can take it from light to heave with the selection of weights that come with it. Sensitivity it also good with a multi dpi switch right on the top of the mouse, switching between ‘run and gun’ and sniper levels of accuracy is simple and instant. It’s not just about gaming though as this is a quality mouse that even adds a touch of pleasure to every day use.
I had got the normal mx 2000 and loved it, this ‘updated version’ feels ‘cheaper’as the grips on the side are not as nice as the older model and feel slightly nasty and on the back the old mx 2000 had a small switch to get the back off this one has crappy plastic and is a pain to get off. They have moved one button that i liked and got rid of another, the thumb one on the old model i loved to bind ctrl to as i cant use my little finger for crouch on my left hand i would stretch my thumb underneath my hand which wasn’t comfortable to hold. Until i got the original mx2000 to which i would use my right thumb on it and it felt natural and comfortable as my thumb naturally went over it, now where it was is now a silver ‘mx 2000 ii’ plastic and waste of a perfectly good button place. In the newer model they have moved the thump knuckle button to the front on the upper part of the thump which feels crap to use as a crouch button and it is slightly out of reach for my thump ‘do-ible’ but not comfortable. The second button which has been removed is the right hand right side little button and though i didn’t use it very often it was still very useful for me and could be used as and extra button for keys that took longer to press to keyboard or a short cut or a macro (a nit pick i know but the new mouse is the same price yet in my opinion is worse going from 11 to 8 , i found the 2 buttons and there placements very useful). I still have the older model and is perfectly fine but i have 2 computers at different places and i wanted another mx2000 to find that i can no longer get it even using the old saved link before i bought the 2000 norm to only find this this not so great version, the ‘mxii isn’t a bad mouse’ but is rather to me a downgrade in my opinion to the older version which was great. My last nit pick is the new software that comes with it straight away i noticed that i couldn’t use the old saved files from the previous software so when i had them both open to copy the old in to the new the new mouse the mxii felt faster(more sensitivity (not a good thing when trying to get it to feel the same and what i’m used to ) after i had saved an closed the program chinese some asian language came up for a 5 seconds and closed which made me think i had virus to as it wasn’t the language of the software installed over all though the mxii isn’t as good as the mx i would still recommend it to people wanting gaming mice (unless the mx2000 was still around a i would recommend that instead) yet it is still good value i just wish instead of using the old amazon section for the mx and changing it to the mx2 and keeping the old reviews it would of had its own page and that i would still be able to buy the older version as it was ‘better’ but mx2 is still good value and quality for price just not all good as old.
As you can probably see from many other reviews here, this mouse is very good. It came quickly and packaged welli bought this mouse for a new gaming computer, along side a perixx keyboard. I am exceptionally impressed with the quality of this company and at a loss to why they do not charge morepro’sergonomically this mouse is a dream, it fits my hand perfectly. I have never struggled or found myself exerting a lot of energy to use it for extended periods of time. Which is by no means a necessity but a nice little luxury, especially at this priceit has very good features, switchable dpi and 11 programable buttons etc. It also comes with optional weights to insert into the mouse for personal preference and a cd with the software on, which is very easy to use and makes it very easy to customise the mouse. Con’sthere really aren’t man, if any problems with this mouse that i have experienced. I would say, as one thing to consider, the cable isn’t as long as many other mouses i have used before, but thats not to say its short though.Depending on the distance from your computer to your desk you may have a problem but thats the same with any appliance right?. Definitely recommend this mouse.
The actual measures of the mouse, the info above is the whole box, not the dimension the buyer has interest, are: 11cm long, 4cm tall, 8cm base width and 6cm top width (the relevant to pick it with the hand). At first i was a bit fearful with some reviews, as my hand is very small and my fingers are somewhat bent, to boot. But since i didn’t see any other mouse that was smaller without being tiny or that had the measures listed, i risked it. It is very comfortable to handle for me, i reach all buttons but the side right, as my pinky falls short of it, but i don’t really need to be able to use every button. The software to customize its behavior is very easy to use and installed very well. It only took for me a day or two to get accustomed to the left side buttons and the shape, as my previous mouse was flatter and was two buttons plus wheel. At first i tended to touch the side thumb buttons when lifting it and sometimes clicked the left button accidentally when resting the finger. There is one thing: that some times, one of fifty+, the left click is missed, but considering it seems to happen 99% in the same object, it’s probably an issue with the program where it happens rather than the mouse. – the one i reviewed was an older version that was excellent and lasted a bit more than two years and a half. Also note currently (9/9/2015) the title says 8 buttons and in the images there are only 7. (it said 7 but the dpi that are buttons here were then slider and wasn’t counted as 2 but 0, plus wheel clicked sideways, i don’t know the current.
Okey so id just like to point out that i owned the previous model as well for this mouse and while it lasted me a very long time (3-4) years i noticed the design overall was a mess. It was hard to clean and the middle mouse button started failing on me same with the side buttons. Sometimes when pressing them (usually for push-to-talk) it would not register so you would need to press harder. But now with the newest model i can tell alot of improvements have been made, for starters the design is more sleeker and better looking with a led light up mouse wheel and the regular perixx logo. The mouse overall is at least a little better to clean, and the buttons on the side are more refined. Switching out the bottom left button (silver perixx part) and replaced it further up the mouseoverall for the price per value the mouse is totally worth it and will get the job done for majority of games (just not alot of mmo’s)only gripe i have with the mouse is that they removed greater control over dpi with the buttons on the mouse. There is now only 4 options instead of the 6 options the older version had. So its becoming a pain trying to find the balance in what dpi i like.

This mouse is really nice for the price, tbh tho, the sharkoon drakonia mouse for an extra £2 is also a pretty good mouse. They both have their cons and pros. From experience, this mouse with the matt finish will still feel good even with a bit of grease or sweat on your hands while the sharkoon drakonia mouse will not but i also think the sharkoon drakonia mouse is a little bit smoother which if you play something like osu, you would feel the difference in accuracy. It might just need some time to get use to how this mouse feels but for the price you really cannot complain as it looks good, it feels comfortable and really nice when in use, it comes with software that allows you to set the back lighting(mouse wheel also lights up which is really nice to look at), adjustable weights, you can also create your own macros and set it to a mouse button and it also has many settings which you can play around with. Overall this is a really nice quality mouse, the build feels solid.
I bought this mouse nearly 2 months ago. Decided to give it some time before writing review. What can i say, i still enjoy using it since day 1 and it works flawlessly. I used more expensive mice in the past from manufacturers like logitech and generic, cheaper mouse from hp (broke down in less than a year). So in comparison, this mouse is really good value and well made. I like heavy mouse, so i use all weights provided. I found mouse to be comfortable, even using for 4-5 hours when playing games. Buttons are well placed, but i guess it depends what size your hand is and length of your fingers. I don’t use mouse pad and it works well on white surface shiny board. It worked straight out of the box with windows 7 drivers, but if you want to customise mouse, you can download provided manufacturer drivers from the disk.
Okey well i bought this almost immediately after receiving a gigabyte gaming mouse, which i bought for like a tenner, but it started making this horrible sound when i lmb clicked so i got this ordered straight away and it seems much better, well worth £25, it’s quite big so if you have small hands and like to claw grip i would look else where. Again i’m very new to gaming to i can’t comment too much, it has some decent features and the grip of the mouse and the buttons feel solid. The chord is a good length and sort of braided. It comes with a nice software which allows you to adjust dpi and mapping and some other stuff. I also really like the weights you can add in the bottom, i’ve placed 3 out of the 6 in and it feels just right, again great for the money and decent features. I’m very happy with this so far, and i’m sort of glad the other mouse has that one fault because i’d happily pay £35-£40 for this perixx one. If u are a real enthusiast veteran gamer though there might not be enough macros on it but for starting out and getting a feel, i highly recommend it. The only reason i’ve marked it 4 stars is because it lacks some of the features of more expensive mouses (mouses?. Lol) but again for the price you van’t complain.
Product arrived as expected (thanks mr supplier). Product itself is very easy to set up, the software allows you to configure each of the buttons for different games and settings (ideal for mmorpg and word processing alike). The flashing backlight is a little bit gimmicky, but since it’s hidden under your hand it’s no biggee – you can always switch it off. The mouse itself is comfortable to use and has a very nice ‘soft rubber’ feel throughout and excellent side grips; the weights are an added bonus should you require a stronger feel and the dpi settings switch are just about right for finer detailed work (especially for graphics editing). The scoll wheel also has a nice left and right feature, which work pretty well when straffing the enemyif you’re looking at one of the more expensive gaming mice, look at this one as an alternative, and if you’re looking for a replacement mouse for normal usage, then (although a little more pricey) would definately be one to use. A little known brand with some great features – i would recommend.
Good mouse – feels great with the added weights. Upgraded from a cheapo one which i’ve had for years. Moves smoothly and has lots of customisable buttons, though it’s a shame you can’t assign *any* function to a particular button. Changing dpi on the fly is a great bonus. Although i’m only just getting into pc gaming, imho it does quite well. Tested it with hitman absolution and does so much better than my old mouse. One major negative (for me) though is the rubberised black ‘paint’ on the top of the mouse. After just minutes of use, it looks like ‘worn’. It isn’t peeling off or anything, just looks like it’s been used for 6 months already.Rest of the mouse is completely fine though.
