HiveNets Mechanical Gaming Keyboard – Decent gaming keyboard

Nice clicky feel to the switches. Back lit leds are coloured, white leds would have been nice.

I just want to let everyone know that these keyboards have changed slightly. They no longer light up horizontally like shown in the picture. They now light up across the keyboard at an angle like most other keyboards. I ordered 2 of these keyboards seperately to see if there was any change in product but they both were delivered as the new version. I wish i took pictures but i was in a rush to send them back. The lights were very pretty and bright regardless. Maybe this a good thing but i personally did not like it. The f9 key is no longer the breathing key. Personally, this listing should be updated.

Simply amazing , i love the thing that you can set custom keys with lighting. Nice clicking sound as well.

This keyboard is really great, lag free typing, feels nice to type on aswell as really cool looking lights and layout, keys are responsive and fairly quiet with cherry mx blue switches, easy to setup, just and play the bonus media functions are also a nice perk for fast and easy shortcuts to essential and quality of life programs / actions, very impressed and i will be commending this to my friends.

Fantastic keyboard for the money, lovely feel while typing fast, small yet ergonomic, looks gorgeous paired white mouse and dark mouse mat. 8/10 could have came with a wrist/palm wrest but dm really.

This keyboard is perfect of your looking for a cheap gaming keyboard. It has the same quality of a professional gaming keyboard.

So cheap but so good to use. This is my first mechanical keyboard and i’m so glad i bought it.

i have wanted a new keyboard for quite some time now, as my current keyboard has started to show its age. I have only used it for about 2 years and works like a charm but to be honest with you, it is quite large for its size due to the number pad, which i don’t even use and the keys randomly just pop out the body of the keyboard when doing some heavy duty typing which isn’t great as when it ends up tipping of my desk then all the keys will just fall out. I have been using a mechanical gaming keyboard, although i don’t game at all and don’t have a computer that meets the requirement of gaming i still went for on because of its rgb lighting keyboard for when needed at the night and especially that mechanical feeling, oh my isn’t that nice to say. Anyways, i left my keyboard and as usual went to my trusted favorite marketplace (amazon of course) and searched up for mechanical keyboards that, is small and compact, lightweight but still offers a good build quality and design and doesn’t have the annoying number pad. My computer setup is black but i wanted a white keyboard for the aesthetics and because, well leaving a black coloured item idle for quite some time will be exposed to dust and i’d rather not want to see the dust build up on the keyboard. There were a variety of keyboards available, and honestly, there was too much, at different price points. I went for a rather unknown brand at a nice price range and with good seller feedback and reviews. I then came across a mechanical keyboard (not knowing its name but telling from the images it was either called zero or hivenet from the title) which i actually liked and was priced just how i wanted it. I actually like this keyboard over my current mechanical one as this one’s rgb lighting spreads around the keyboard, whereas my old keyboard’s lighting only spread straight up the key so you would basically just see the letters being lit up by the led’s and not being spread out to be brighter. Anyways, in this review i will be giving my honest opinions of the keyboard and deciding whether i would recommend it to anyone.

very impressed with this keyboard, great to type and game on and has more features than my old razer one. There are loads of lighting functions that add cool effects too, as well as functional ones that light up certain sections of the keyboard which is good for night use. All the function keys work as they should and work both on mac and pc so it’s perfect for me to swap across the two.

so i gave this to my nephew as he is the gaming pro and this is what he wrotekeyboard:good things:. It feels good to type with and use for gaming. It has a wide variety of rbg light settings. It feels tactile and durable. It give a nice clicking sound. The key caps are easy to take offbad things:. The space bar feels less tactile. It could be brighter in day light.

Decent for typing and doing general work, gameplay and video editing, seems to be responsive and feels good when the clicking sound id made, must admit it looks cool as with all the rainbow coloured lighting, overall the build quality is solid and does the job well for all the tasks.

Beautiful keyboard with alot of different colour modes, along with having the classic mechanical sound when typing, couldn’t beat that. Here are the specifications for the HiveNets Mechanical Gaming Keyboard:

This is intended as a gaming keyboard, but would certainly suit if you line to type in a darkened room. There inside than enough light from the keyboard and monitor to type easily without any other light sources. It should be noted that these keys are very loud. It is intentional and my sons love it,but if this was used in the sitting room, or worse in a bedroom which is shared, it would drive you mad. If you are looking for a keyboard to used in a shared space you are far better off going with a different type. Overall i’m happy with the purchase, low cost for a solid mechanical keyboard.

Imagine paying £100+ for a keyboard when this exists 😂 it’s the best keyboard i’ve ever owned. Also the people saying the switches aren’t real, they’re just a bunch of helmets.

There is a few people asking about the key switches and people seem to be saying they are cherry switches. These are *not* cherry mx switches. They have an mx compatible stem, which means any keycap made for mx switches/clones will fit these keys. At this price point i knew i would not be getting cherry switches. Cherry’s are made and designed in germany. And cherry do not sell them cheap. Normally 99% of key switches do not come with led’s pre-installed, that’s up to the manufacturer of the board to fit. For a decent cherry board with no led’s, you can be looking at £65+ from sellers. I received the keyboard tonight and had a quick look and type test on it. For the price point, this keyboard is pretty decent for a mech.

I wanted to buy a gaming keyboard for my son without breaking the budget and this one ticked all the boxes. All you need to do is plug it in and you are ready to go unless you want to set up lighting etche absolutely loves the rainbow colour scheme and it looks pretty cool. You can control the colours and light without using any software. It’s rgb backlit and you press fn+f9 for breathing effect. Keys are very responsive, no lag and makes a clicky sound when you type in but does not bother us in any way. It’s well built, compact and configurable. Son’s happy with it and i think it’s money well spent.

I love this keyboard, i like my keyboards loud and weighted, great value for the money, and has also lasted me 4 months now with no problem.

Brilliant quality gaming board. Quality is good and mechanical is a must for gaming very precise.

  • Money well spent

I was extremely surprised when i received the product, as the quality was much higher than expected and the lighting looked very nice and subtle. It doesn’t let you customize every individual key in terms of color, but there are some options. The keyboard is a bit lightweight, which could be a plus, but in this case it makes the product feel a bit cheaper when handling, but it is totally stable on a desk. I’m very happy with the product.

It’s a very good gaming keyboard and i love it. I can use it very smoothly when playing my games as it has a very satisfying click. It looks and sounds strikingly similar to a cherry mx blue switch and am extremely surprised how cheap this keyboard is. Amazing mechanical keyboard.

Amazing product, works fantastic and keys look fantastic.

The action is perfect, the movement is crisp, and the distance ideal for touch typing. Oh and the noise is incredible. I was initially hesitant to deploy this bad boy into the office environment, but i took a leap of faith and i have been winding up my workmates for several months now. Most of them have become somewhat desensitised, so sometimes i have to tap a little harder to remind them i still have a special keyboard.

Man thanks a lot i loved this keyboard since ive ever laid my hands on it. Its also got the fastest response time and meets all the requirements ive paid for.

Love this keyboard, although super loud.

Typing feel is almost as good as my filco keyboard, that cost me many times as much. Only grouse i have is that the instruction booklet is all in chinese. The description in the amazon product page gives a rundown on the keys, which is helpful, but it would be good to have the whole thing in english too. A minor complaint, considering the quality, and the price. It will be interesting to see how long it lasts, both the switches and the keycaps. I tend to give keyboards a fairly hard time.

I use a corsair k70 up until now. I wanted a smaller cheaper mechanical keyboard. I wanted one that gave me the ability to move and position it in ways i would be unable to with my k70, whilst not sacrificing build quality and aesthetic. This is beautiful and amazing. Reccomend it to anyone and everyone.

This keyboard for the price is the best on the market. The build quality is on par with a keyboard three times the price of it’s own, which is so pleasing as most keyboards at this price feel tacky and cheap, this does not. Along with the the switches (cherry mx blue clones) i could say are as good as actual mx blues. They have the feel of them and are responsive and have an extremely satisfying click to them, i honestly can’t think of any faults with them. This keyboard is flawless and for the price i would recommend over any other.

Nothing really bad to say about this keyboard, price is cheap, the key stroke seems alright, and feels well put together, slight wobble to some of the keys but thats all really bad about it.

I bought this keyboard for my cousin as i am in the process of building a pc for him. Here are my thoughts on it as well as his feedback:+ gaming aesthetics – this one is pretty important to teenage boys that play games and this keyboard delivers. He also said he quite likes the different font on the keys. + comfortable – apart from the looks, it is comfortable to game on even for prolonged periods of time. – this is more of a suggestion, but it would have been nice if the keyboard had a few more backlight modes, but i guess it is alright for the price. Overall, it is a decent entry-level gaming keyboard that a lot of growing gamers will appreciate. Also, pretty easy on parents, or whoever is paying, since it doesn’t cost much more than a decent standard keyboard.

After holding off buying a mechanical and using a membrane keyboard for years this is an amazing upgrade. The mechanical keys are really tactile and easily rival the feel of more expensive keyboards. The led’s are really bright, responsive and you can program your own settings which is brilliant. The product looks and feels like it should cost a lot more. Overall, very impressed with this product for the price.

Just dirty really fast with minimal use.

this keyboard is definitely up there with one of higher end keyboards but at a lower cost. It’s blue switches from an unknown brand are amazing in quality and surprisingly similar to those of cherry’s. The build quality is good but on the black model there is a silver metal plate instead of your typical black on black design. It’s very accurate and i haven’t realised any latency between keypress and actions. It matches my setup and i’m very happy with it. Might buy another if mine ever loses its durability.

I use the product everyday for gaming and searching the web so fare there has been no faults with the keyboard overall a very well manufature and sleek designed keyboard.
