Meike MK 6.5 mm f/2.0 Fisheye Lens for Olympus Panasonic Micro 4/3 Mount Cameras – Great value and image quality

It’s not cost effective to spend a lot for specialist lenses like this so this looked like a reasonable deal. I wasn’t expecting high quality so i was pleasantly surprised to get this and see it was a quality construction- metal not plastic and the image produced though showing some cut off and fringe aberration was very acceptable. It’s very good value indeed. A manual lens so it needs to be stopped down to get the correct exposure but automatic lenses of this type are so much more expensive that this totally makes sense.
I use it with underwater olympus setup. Good quality and value for money.
I missed the fact that this was a fisheye lens. That said, for the price, the optics seem pretty decent.
It’s good value for the cost but 2 out of 3 of these have not focused to infinity, keep sending them back until you get a good one.
0 circular fisheye lens is a neat and easy lens to attach to my sony camera. It takes great pictures and is fun. The price is good, especially with the extras it offers.
Needs care focussing, use peaking and magnify to get best results. Well made and useful addition if you like ultra wide angle. I use 8mm lenses and this exceeds the wide angle view significantly.
- The Fish-Eye, Eye Captain!
- Solid lens excellent value
- It’s good value for the cost but 2 out of 3

Not quite the perfect circular image on m43 but a very sharp image. Lens is light and easy to use.
Super cheap and having a super time with it.
The choice for budget level fish-eye lens on the mft system has been limited to the olympus 8mm bodycap or the samyang/rokinon for £250. While the oly 8mm is fun, and can create some decent images in good daylight, in low light you may as well not bother, so for about £150 you can get a fast and very wide manual lens that produces some really sharp images when focused properly. 0 is a wonderful lens, solid build quality, and sharp images. I used this out in the peak district for exposures ranging from 15-50 seconds on a mini tripod, focused to infinity ( this lens goes past infinity, so make sure you use the markings on the lens) the stars were pin sharp. Yes, the lens is cropped slightly top and bottom, but i don’t mind that. I’ve not used this too much in the daylight, but i’m more than happy with the results so far, and look forward to using this lens for some more astrophotography in the southern hemisphere, and hopefully the arctic circle. I’ve added a few photos to show. The cropped photo is of a lightning storm, taken through the front window, at f22 and a 30 second exposure ( hence the rain in the window is visible) for the price, this is an amazing lens.
Utilised this lens for interior shots of camper vans we build. As the lens was a ‘cheap and cheerful’ purchase, my expectations were low. However i’ve been delighted with the results from this nice bright lens. Yes this lens is manual, but that’s why it’s at this price point. The mechanics of the lens and the quality of the lens are of surprisingly high quality. No abhorrations visible even zooming in to pixel level. Once the photos are fed through some lens correction software, i’m now getting the wide angle shots of my compact interiors that i hoped for. Well worth the investment as an add on to my micro four thirds kit.
Considering the price this is a solid, well made lens. I previousy had the olympus body cap lens which was fine as long as there was loads of light, but this lens opens up to f2 so usable in lower light. A bit of a specialist lens so not for everyone but for striking landscapes and funky portaits it cant be beaten at this price.

Excellent lens and great value.
This is a good lens at at reasonable price. I am using it to shoot panoramas and it works well. The focus and aperture controls feel good, be aware that the aperture is click-less so you you have to look at it to set it.
Never had a super wide angle lens before. I’ve had a lot of fun with it so far. I’ve used it on the cat a few times for a giggle and they’ve turned out ok. Can’t complain about it for the price, it’s made out of metal and feels pretty sturdy. Worth buying even if you only want to take silly pictures of cat/dogs.
